It's all RNG, Lodenuri. The only difference sitting at a particular spot makes is how many other spawn points you can see Aeonaxx pop up at.

Aeonaxx despawned after your friend clicked on it? o.O That's really weird... Even weirder that he got parachuted down too, since that's what happens when you kill him...

Unless your friend is a druid and Aeonaxx bugged out somehow?

It's a known bug, at least according to aeonaxxresource. Unusual, but it does have a rare chance of happening.

He's a warrior. I asked if he was on his Sandstone drake but he doesn't remember.
I have heard that it's a known bug... but apparently it can also happen if there's someone in a different phase as you clicking on him a split second before you.. *shrug*
I just... really hope that doesn't happen to me. <_<

Went AFK for a bit, got a slight feeling that something would/did spawn while I was away, and sure enough, a Blood Seeker showed up while I was up.
My rare senses are being pretty sharp lately. O.o

Rare senses are a weird thing! I have it too sometimes. I was in the bath once while camping TLPD and I had a feeling something would spawn so I got out of the bath quickly to check and, bam, right as I walked in the room, Vyragosa spawns in front of my face. Shame it wasn't TLPD, that would've been amazing! I hope your rare sense leads you to something awesome though. (;

I had a feeling Aeonaxx would spawn in NW2 which I why I was camping there when everyone else was at the southern points. Turns out he spawned in between NW2 and NE1. Intuition can be a powerful thing!

But yeah! So I was watching the latest episode of Riders of Berk (The How to Train Your Dragon TV show) that I missed last week or something, and after it was finished I went back to my compouter chair and started browsing Tumblr to keep me occupied. Then all of a sudden I hear NPC Scan go off, and I look and it says Aeonaxx! But I suspect it's an Aeonaxx someone else already got until I look at my mini map and see a green dot flying around, that is the moment when I absolutely freaked out. He was RIGHT BELOW ME (I was flying a smidge too high) so I flew down, hopped on, and it all went smoothly! Not super fast because I'm always BM so the kill was a little slow, but I got to enjoy the experience more! Was such a blast!!
I am just so happy! I feel like I can breathe easier now. and he spawned when I was starting to give up hope... I'm just... I can't even. <3
He's mount #150! So extra special!
And he also completes my rare spawn mounts! I now have TLPD, Poseidus, Grey Camel, and Aeonaxx all together!
