awy hey Griff, do you know if Ghosthowl can be tamed like this? I think he changes form at low health, but I forget to what

edit.. so I tamed Ghost Howl in Ghost Wolf form... but on log in, he wasn't there..

What does he change form to then?
and if he is not there you didnt do it right im sorry,
He should be there, the question is wether he has is visual bonus or not.

he turns into a generic ghost wolf, I did the tame, he disappeared, but on log in, I didn't have him as a pet.. the flaming boar already worked

And by Ghost wolf you mean he becomes see-trough, or he turns into a Spirit wolf?
edit: since we already have a see trough wolf with a sword in his head, the first option wouldnt be really worth the trouble
Second one we still need a perm version of though.

I was able to tame Ghost Howl as a ghost wolf no problem with the glitch... Well actually I killed him once by accident. << >> But none the less, it did work.

Yeah he's doable, does the same thing as the Ghostpaw Runners, and has the same possibility of taming as a ghost wolf

Once again--it's in this thread, on the first post--the underlined mobs are the ones that keep their buffs.

In all seriousness, are people having trouble seeing the underlined ones? I had a couple PMs saying the underlines aren't showing.

i don't see the underlineds but nvm...i'm sure we'll be able to find the pets with the stickable buffs somewhere in these forums

Doesn't help that the hyperlinks get underlined automatically...

Have any other pets the keep their buffs been discovered besides the original 5?

I've been looking and searching for more pets with buffs, I even have my room mate looking as she lvls her rogue

Oil Wolf
Oil Hawk
Lone Hunter w/knife
BOAR ON FIRE
Blue two-headed carrion bird in BEM that gets summoned by the Arrakoa Wing Guards when low on health...

Those are the 5 that I know of that keep their new skins when tamed correctly, and can die and be revived without losing new skin.

I believe everything else that has been found will lose its skin and revert upon death.

Sometimes it is easier to answer the question instead of telling people to go look somewhere. Everyone here is an equal, so don't act like your crap doesn't stink. (that wasn't directed at any ONE person, so don't read into it that much unless you feel guilty of doing it.)

Edit--for the record, I wasn't trying to sound nasty to whoever actually asked the question. What I was trying to say was, stop directing people elsewhere, because the information is actually in this thread Mobs that keep the buffs are now green in the first post. Tell me if for some reason that doesn't show up.

I've been wracking my brain for every possible buff that I can think of, and I mused about this for a while:

What about pet's that change their appearance while being damaged? I remember seeing mobs shot full of arrows from my bow (and that little blue ball in chests from Arcane Shot), or a mob being turned orange or blue from frostbolts, incinerates, ect.

I realize these sorts of things are longshot, especially due to taming aggro, timers, and such, but it is something I've been wondering about.

Well, these are all timed as a debuff, so I think there'd be a timer on the appearance change too--and timers still tick over, sadly. Give it a shot though, because you never know what'll work!

The Consumed Thistle Bears can be found in the southern part of Darkshore. Haven't seen any love for this guy yet, but he's really grown on me. Named him 'Sarcoptes,' after the mite that causes sarcoptic mange Sarcoptes scabiei canis. The glow is pretty prominent, and very purple.

He's in southern Darkshore. Nothing too special, it's a diseased bear with a purple tint and small purple glow around his face.
