None of the event/limited-time-only Pokemon are required, as I said. However I recommend you get SoulSilver/HeartGold/etc. because it'll make transferring them game to game easier. As well as having two Nintendo DSs. I'm sure this information can be found online somewhere, since there's pages at the back of the official Pokedex book which literally explain to you how to best go about completing the Pokedex. Best use of £10 ever!

All I am going to say is this. They better not have a bunch of anthropomorphic pokemon in this game. Black and white had WAY too many.
Also since it has norse elements I am hoping for a wolf Pokemon

I don't see anything wrong with anthropomorphic Pokemon, honestly. And hey, it's not like 1st Gen didn't have its share of humanoid-ish Pokemon. (Besides, in all honesty, I can only count maybe... 6 truly anthro-ish Pokemon in 5th Gen? Dewott, Pignite, Emboar, Zoroark, Mienfoo and Mienshao. That's not a lot, honestly. Sure there were other animal Pokemon that stood on two legs, but those mostly made sense for their species anyway, such as the Elemental Monkeys.)

Issue is, a lot of those are Pokemon based on species that walk/stand upright ANYWAY (Such as the Elemental Monkeys, Leavanny and Audino.) And a lot of the ones you mentioned are not necessarily "anthros" in the more.. Common use of the word. Most of them are HUMANOIDS, yes, but that does not equal "anthro". Gothitelle is not an anthro as it is based on a human. Same for the majority of the "heavy anthro" Pokemon you've mentioned.

Regardless, I see absolutely nothing wrong with anthro OR humanoid Pokemon. Look how many humanoid Pokemon there were in 1st and 2nd Gen! There's always been a balance between "feral", anthro and humanoid Pokemon. Unova is absolutely no different. And 6th gen will likely be no different either.

So that narrows it down to lugia and ho-oh for the only ingame pokemon that I can't get and don't already have. I want to get the others anyway just to have the dex entries but at least it shouldn't take as long. Thankyou.

I got mine on the 24th, and i'm pacific as well.

I am on east coast time, although the event says it starts on the 25th, I actually got mine on the 24th. Just need to do the whole soft reset over and over until I get one with the right nature/personality. Fun times ahead.

Why can't you get them? o.o SoulSilver/HeartGold have them and make them stupidly easy to get as well. You don't even have to get that far into the story for them.

I don't have either of those games or a way to get them right now.

Sacred Sword in-game is shown as a physical move, is it really a special attack? Or wait, did i confuse myself trying to read that /is fairly new to actually paying attention to raising pokemon with EV's and natures n what not. Took me forever to start paying attention to Special and Physical)

Hmm, just turned on my game and looked at keldo, ROFLOL he's finicky so his loss to Sp.A is neutralized XD I dont use legendaries in my parties but if i ever do use him, i'll appeal to his Sp.A since his attack will go up little by little naturally. To make up for the loss of speed (im checking him up on smogon) i'll have to give him a quick claw instead of the items hes offering if i find im struggling to keep him up during fights

It's SECRET Sword that's the special attack, Xakaal. XD It's confusing, I know. I wish they had kept the Japanese name for the move, Sword of Mystery. Makes it a lot harder to mistake it for Sacred Sword. By the way, Secret Sword/Sword of Mystery is only learned by Keldeo if you take it to Oath Woods (BW2) or the Moor of Icirrus (BW) and you have the rest of the Musketeers in your party as well. It will trigger an event where the other three "teach" Keldeo the move.

But yes, sadly Keldeo has a pretty barren movepool. My Keldeo in Black has Hydro Pump, Sword of Mystery (I always personally call it that, hurrrr.), Surf and Hidden Power Ghost. I opted for HP Ghost since while chances are I won't be able to use him that much (Curse you Event Legends being banned in the Battle Subway!), I'd rather him NOT be COMPLETELY walled by Jellicents. XP Grass types are surprisingly not that big a deal for Keldeo, believe it or not, as quite a few of them have generally bad physical defense and can't take Sword of Mystery that well. XD And heck, with BW2, he can learn Icy Wind, which while it isn't as powerful as a Hidden Power Ice, coming off the special attack stat that Keldeo has, not to mention usually Life Orb/Calm Mind/Choice Specs, it's gonna hurt quite a bit anyway, especially against most Dragons. (And heck, did you know that a Choice Specs Keldeo can EASILY two-hit KO a Multiscale DRAGONITE with Hydro Pump when it's raining? This little pony is POWERFUL. <3)

Anyway, that was just a bit of random banter from someone who pays too much attention to competitive battling. XD But hey, you have to expect me to drop in anytime one of the Musketeers is mentioned! They're kind of my thing, so if any of them is mentioned, you can guarantee to see me chime into the conversation. XP

You know I just use the Pokemon I like. I don't min/max like you guys do. XD

I use the Pokemon I like TOO, trust me. Don't mistake "Wanting a Pokemon to be the best it can be" for "not caring about them" or "Using them only for them being powerful", please. (Not exactly saying you are, but.. Still. I care very much about my Pokemon. I use the Pokemon I LOVE, and the reason I pay so much attention to making them good is because I LOVE THEM and want them to be the best they can be.)

True true. I just use them how I find them. I think they are good enough as is. Love my lvl 80 Butterfree That's how I roll. XD


I have two Pokemon themed rants.

1) Last night I was going to make the blog a Tumblr and I was trying to put a Pokemon themed background but I could get none to work and the Tumblr people are useless so I had a "throw hands in air and yell fuck it!" moment and went with Blogspot and THEN today on Facebook my mate said I should make a Tumblr for them too as it'll get more exposure that way as everyone uses it. *headdesk* I don't know now I'm torn!


2) I'd really like them to just make one Pokemon game where you can get all the Pokemon instead of releasing two at a time. Oh don't get me wrong I know why they do it that way they get more money out of us and all. But for once I'd like to be able to get all Pokemon in one game XD Some of us don't have access to the online trading thingy.
