Site comes back up, I log in. There's just 24 people online - I rush to marketplace, there's 11 smoke genes in stock!!! I click, and it asks me to log in AGAIN. WTF?!? As you can guess, the smoke genes are out of stock now

Onward to my slightly frustrated rant: So my lovely wife managed to get me all caught up in a recent Gen One auction this week. I caught a glimpse of this little X/X/Y Caribbean/Caribbean/Beige beach bum girl and just had to have her. Now I'm wondering what I've gotten myself into. I want to breed change her to a coatl, then gene change her to ripple/current/underbelly. I have no idea how I plan to afford this little endeavour. What in the world was I thinking... Sell, dragons! SELL!

She's gorgeous Sa'avryn! The beige works really well with the Caribbean

and if lightning gets dominance, I will gladly send over the treasure for scrolls so you don't have to worry about saving up yourself This helps me, as it robs me of spending money I really need to keep away from the AH and apparel section of the MP >_<

I'm pretty darn sure the ping list I've been on forever and day now, just skipped over me when I was logically first in line for the male color combo that just hatched. WTF!?! I really hope it's not so, but I'm gong to be seriously pissed off it ends up being the case. I was even prepared to offer far more than the guy is asking for as well. It's going to be his loss if I'm skipped. I WILL take my 150kT I ground up specifically for this hatching and look elsewhere for those colors in the future. -_-

Why do people insist on using the word 'dergs' ffs the word 'dragon' isn't that long or hard to spell?!

Yeah, I sometimes use it too, along with the affectionate hatchling names that tend to annoy people as well

the wait for someone who is on a tottally different timezone than yours to reply and accept the offer you made on one of the dragons...

I see "Dergs" the same way I see things like "teh" and "wat" and all those purposeful misspellings- they're useful! I'd very rarely replace "the" with "teh", for example, but sometimes you want the connotations that come along with a misspelled word- it changes the mood of the word. I don't always want to sound super stiff and serious, after all, so throwing in a few weird words can let people know that you're being silly or joking.

I just really love text and how people have used it to convey emotion, I could ramble for a long time. Long story short, though, "dergs" has connotations of playfulness and eagerness- AKA "look at my dergs"- that "dragons" doesn't have.

It doesn't even sound like a word referring to 'dragons' - if it weren't FR I'd certainly have no idea wtf people meant by 'dergs'.

In all honestly, it sounds to much like 'drugs' in my head for my comfort.

I'm not saying I want people to stop using it. It's just my opinion.

yeah the term is to close to dregs for me also it has other meanings...but eh I personally feel shortening their names is insulting to such magnificent beasts and they would probably smack us with a tail for it

I get why people are using it but unlike 'teh' and 'meh' and other such light-hearted terms, 'dergs' isn't as easy to pick up on the meaning of. I had to Google it wondering wth people were on about. At first I thought it was kinda the same as how people used the word 'studs' on Wajas. And yeah, what other people said, to me 'dergs' sounds a little... rude. o.O

Also sounds a bit like 'derp'. And I take my dragons very seriously thankyouverymuch. >:
