I honestly think I'd be happy if the meat was like, a 20-40% drop rate. This dragon whelp drop rate is for the birds. 7 hours farming for 3 pieces of meat. One the tame bugged. I was lucky to get my green and black, but I may just wait for the purple one instead of getting all three. I can't handle farming like this. :/ It makes me feel like a douchebag since I had to fight the Alliance for spawns and I swear if I hear another goat bleat, I'm going to hurl a monitor.

Woke up this morning, farmed another hundred talbuks ; meat dropped. Thanks for all the tips!

Trap -> Feign -> Camo, from feign -> Get Close -> Throw meat -> Wait for blood splash -> Cast tame -> It's mine!

What should I name my new feline companion?

Made a group and just got one. worked perfectly. Was told to go surv. camo, trap, meat, sneak up, tame.

It's doable guys, don't despair!
surv, camo, trap, meat (I always aim for the center of the cat's torso), and tame.

For me, the trap -> FD -> meat - > tame sequence did not work. I cried. I had to farm another meat.
Second time I did the Survival Camo trick, and that worked like a charm. <3

Awesome Mine worked oddly--I am BM, so I went up to one, when it was beating on me, freeze-trapped, feigned. I then stood up and threw the meat, but was put back in combat, and I saw no buff on the cat, but the tame worked anyway.

The one day I'm not constantly checking Petopia, you all manage to solve it good work, guys!

I'm currently at around 175 kills, and nothing has come up yet :') Ive still got the weekend ahead of me, though

256 kills for 2 meat here: bit of a silly drop rate for a pet looks pretty, but has no useful abilities. -_-
Had no issues with taming my two (Alpha and Trench Stalker), and no room in stable (sigh) to worry about any other colours.

Huh. I wonder if they could have hotfixed it to allow it to be aggroed. I don't really want to farm up the meat to test that though

Update: 287 kills, and I've finally had a piece drop. 287. That's a good two and a half hours running around killing mobs, and it didn't work. I put the trap down, feigned death right behind it, camoed out of feign death, threw the meat, was not in combat, and the tame wouldn't go through regardless.

Back to the 200+ killing spree, I guess

That sucks, maybe some of the mobs are just bugged. Which colour were you trying to tame/where? Wondering if spawns in certain areas are bugged, or if it's just random.

I did take my proc trinkets off just to be safe as well.

My friend told me right now that there is a bug and we have to throw meat in front of panthara, not behind it. I will try when I loot piece of meat.

See, that's the exact one I was trying to get, but it just didn't work. I came from the front, though, so idk if that's my problem?

Possibly, I never went in front of it, and removed my trinkets before starting. Otherwise no clue why it isn't working for some people.

Maybe try killing it and letting it respawn a fresh one also if you haven't.
