Ehh, it's OK. I didn't know about the bEar.
To tell you the truth if i was going to tame another pet before Cataclysm it would have to be pretty "out there" in the skin department... something akin to the BOAR ON FIRE.
I just don't have any spare stable room. There is no more room at the inn.
I don't even have a bear, but if I did I would drop it and get that one instead.

NEW:
Corrupted Bloodtalon
Status: Temporary
Additional: Has buff that does damage/chance on hit. Not all visual.

Shame.
It is absolutely gorgeous too. Shadowy with glittering motes of ruby red. (Especially on 'mend pet)
Sadly, the screenshot does not do it justice.
Loses its buff (debuff?) upon death.

Lost skull motif after death.
Death tested by dueling and having someone kill the pet.

I'll add that wolf, but it's actually the same wolf & debuff (or buff?) as the Rabid Worg in Silverpine. So while not a new appearance, it's a new location for it! Thanks for the links
I'm going to leave out the Corrupted raptor though--it was tested somewhere in the middle of this thread in any case (yeah good luck finding that lol). But in the end there's no point in listing mobs with timed buffs at all, as the buffs still obey the timers and go away after the 10-15 minutes.

Not all GMs will do a pet restoration. It seems to be a case-by-case basis or depending on their mood. I can only stress to be polite and patient, and hopefully they'll do it for you. Again, don't try to abuse this feature by spamming them with requests, it would be terrible if they decided to stop granting us this favor in the future.
Just talked with a GM to get my Hydra restored. He was very kind and polite and wanted to get my pet restored. However, instead of my hydra, i got another regular looking crocolisk back. I tol him it was the wrong skin and he said that can happen. He couldnt help me any further unfortunatly

So I just talked to a GM about some flightpath issues and also threw in the question about the taming method. Here is this GM's reply.
Blurred out his name for privacy matters just in case...

Hulking Helboars gain an enrage at 66% HP and 33% HP that stacks twice for 10% damage each time.
After taming with the abandon method and summoning, the buff disappeared after 6 seconds.
Beyond that, I attempted taming, summoning, dismissing, and summoning again. Didn't help.
Tamed, summoned, dismissed, logged out, summoned. Didn't work.
It's possible that the buff checks for current HP, but I don't know about that.
It might be that untimed frenzy buffs already won't stick upon taming.
EDIT: IMPORTANT NOTE TO STRESS: THE FRENZY IS NOT TIMED

I've been wondering how GM's know about the glitches we use to get unique pet skins i dont want to rule out the possebilaty that they check the petopia forums but if you tell them and ask stuff about buggs they wil fix it.
So pls never tell a GM anything.

Well, there are better ways to report things. GMs who aren't aware of an issue can make wrong assumptions.

I don't think you really need to blur out GM names, really. They're employees of Blizzard, after all.
Anyways, seems like teh reply could be translated to "I don't know, so I'll play it safe and tell you no until a dev says otherwise".

This has already been reported on the official wow forums, but we still have no answers.
To not report would be wrong and this could be abused by players with wrong intentions.

Well I just wanted to play it safe as well blurring
And I think you are right about the playing-it-safe answer. But just wanted to share it with you guys.

While doin my weekly MC run I noticed the 2 core ragers that fight with Golemagg the Incinerator have a buff on them, and 2 glowing reb orbs on the ends of each of their horns - I noticed after my tank pulled and couldn't pull one off of him in order to try the tame to keep the appearance buff. If anyone runns it would you mind trying it out and see if it works

That's one tough tame you're looking at there. It can be done with one tank, if the tank switches to attacking the other core rager so that the stacking debuff that Golemagg applies to teh tank when attacked has a chance to clear (said debuff is basically a sunder with no limit on how many time it can stack). The core ragers can't be killed if Golemagg is still aive, and they despawn when Golemagg dies IIRC. Hence, you can build up a nice threat buffer on one of the core ragers, before taming. you will be needing a healer, since these puppies hit hard when in close proximity to Golemagg.
I don't know if the glowing horns have to do with the buff they get from Golemagg or not. If the visual effect is part of the buff, then either the core hound loses the buff upon being tamed, or you have one OP core hound that you should ditch in favor of some Ancient Core Hound.

Open another ticket... ask again to have it restored... and make sure to include what happened with the other GM.
I would even try emailing them... wowgm @blizzard.com (no space), you should do this from the email address that your account is registered on. (You can also find this email on battle.net somewhere if you don't trust me

) Emailing has always been faster for me.
