I love it! I know it's been seen before, but is never looked at it much. However...Blizzard. Add this, please. However, do lower it's head, like in the sketch. The head seems too highly set to me but that's just me.

That mount was a winner in their last student art competition, therefore I think it counts as fanart, unfortunately.

I don't think they've ever introduced anything from the competitions even when it was lovely.

Actually that's precisely where the Darkmoon carousel came from That was a student design!

Very true, from memory Blizzard recognized that it could be placed into WOW almost as is, which was very very cool.
But then as much as this Hyena mount if freaking cool and was the winner, it does not guarantee it will ever be implemented sadly, even if the carousel did set a potential bit of a president for this.

What I really hope to see was the "otter man" that was a runner up. I really fell in love with that one. Maybe in a later xpac?

OMG same! Ironic coming from me I do lurrrrrrrve the mounts) but he was so amazingly designed, I would have put my vote in for him being the winner. I know he wasn't exactly perfect in relation to the style blizzard normally ends up leaning towards in WOW (He was a little to painterly and not enough cartoony), but that can be fixed very easily...
And regardless my goodness "Otto" was so good IMO.

But well, Emerald drake? It's about time!
Got to say I was hoping for an infinite one, though, seeing that it's a time travel expac, and infinites are (in some way) involved.

While it's awesome to finally get the emerald drake...I'm really disappointed how we're getting it...you'd think 250 would be something super awesome...the albino and dragonhawk were really good...but after that I've been disappointed with the tier rewards...:/

Green is my favorite color so I'm happy. but I never understood why we didn't get a green drake in the past. Seems odd to have a simple green drake for 250 mounts, but whatever.

I'm at 235 I think? Or somewhere around there... Will probably be after WoD that ill get 250, but I still have one JC panther to get, I've been farming world bosses and Alysrazor and I still have a few argent tourney mounts so...

sweet it looks like they will at long last be filling the gaps in the dragon flights. bronze whelp added for pet colectors and emerald drake added to the mount collection! i am at 219 right now and have 6 crafted, 1 pvp and 4 raid drop mounts I am actively farming at the moment so hopefully i will just need to grind a few wod reps to get this one!
I am a bit surprised at the method of obtaining this though. the other flights were all quite easy to get and I am not sure how I feel about just getting a plain green drake. hoping it will have something nice added to it considering how hard it is to get. like maybe some extra armor or something.
either way its always exciting to see a new mount achievement to work towards!
