Yeah, but there's a difference between asking for crits and wanting to know how you can improve or someone walking up to you and telling you that it sucks--especially if there is nothing substantive to it. If someone came up to me and said "Your art is terrible" then I will definitely snap back. Even if they came up and said, "Your anatomy is terrible." I'd still snap back because there is absolutely nothing needed or whatever to that. That's not criticism. That's being a jerk--especially if I didn't particularly want criticism.

If someone came up to me and was like, "Hey, your leg anatomy could use a bit of work. Here's how you could fix it, here's a few tutorials, and have a website," Then I will be a lot less upset and a lot more willing to communicate, whether or not I asked for a criticism. Because they're not trying to tear me down, they're trying to help me. So tl;dr when giving criticism make damn sure it's suggestions and helpful as opposed to "wow you suck and this sucks" because you will get flak.

Oh I know Azu. I understand if someone is being a jerk. But if someone was being polite, there's no reason for artists to be snooty.

It's just like trolls if you snap back they'll keep on coming but if you ignore them they will leave. They want a reaction from you. Ignoreing is always the better route and will corse less trouble.

All in all if you don't want criticism DON"T PUT IT ONLINE. Or at least a public place. If you want to show your friends but don't want to risk someone else being a jerk to you use something like photobucket not DA. DA is a public site and I've seen the mods there say that will happen and it's a risk you take when uploading things to it.


Don't even get me started on people who constantly go on about "how their art sucks and want to get better" but never fucking practise. My god they can ruin even the most fun stream >.> You can't get better with out hard work.

Of course this is all my opinion. Before some jackass points that out or something. It's the rant thread I'll say what I want. >.>

Also the people bitching about the 2D 3DS. Stop it for fuck sake. You do know some people get really bad headaches from 3D things right? No point in buying a system if you are not going to use it's main gimmick. Also it's cheaper so it's win win for those people.

Jesus yes, I know someone who (bought? was gifted? idek) a 3DS for his birthday and he just can't stand the 3D feature of it, it gives him horribad headaches and he just can't ever play with it on. Hell, he showed me the feature once and I got sick looking at it from any angle that wasn't straight-head-on, and I never get sick while playing games. It's that bad.

The doorbell rang. My dog started barking like crazy. I get my fiance cause I don't like to answer the door at night when I'm alone. We both go to the door and there was no one there!

I just cant get rid of this cough TT_TT no more scratchy throat or pain, just this little spot in my throat that likes to collect crap and make it so I have to hack my brains out. I've been doing just about everything I know from previous colds and what I've read that people have consistently said works and I just keep fricking coughing. Most of the time there isn't even anything there, its just the sensation that breathing makes but at night its this tiny gob of crap that never allows itself to go the fuck away no matter what I do and eat and drink or take or hack. It'll like, for five seconds clear up and then come back again.

I'm so tired I want to curl into a ball and pass out but this fricking cough wont let me settle down.

Pretty much my world for the last week. No matter how i lie at night I still end up couching for 2 hrs before I can sleep :S Had 4 days off work and today is the first day i've felt remotely human...I was so ill one night i cooked a can of tin spagetti and ate that as I didn't have the energy to cook anything else

So my friend wants to make a pet game like FR. Which is fine and all, except she really wants my help with it, and she apparently thinks that my brother and her boyfriend (both of which can code, but... aren't codesmiths by ANY definition, despite how much she thinks they are) can code an entire breeding website. She also appears to think that I'm totally willing to put weeks worth of work into the art of this game (she's an artist too, but her style is *completely* different than mine) and thinks that we'll make money off of it.

I've pointed out to her how ridiculous it is, but she's stubborn. Ugh.

I think a good way to fix that is to link her all the old breeding websites that have shut down over the years. Like a few horse and old dragon ones. It might give her second thoughts if she can see how many are unsuccessful.

Ugh normally I embrace home alone weekends but this weekend I'm feeling lonely and majorly depressed. This medication for my cough makes me wonky and throws my mood all over the place and I get really tired so I have no energy to do anything. Alone, miserable, no energy to even make myself dinner and its 8:20pm, let alone even go out to grab a nice drink at the bar and try to relax in a eventful social environment (friday night, it should be quite lively), all I want to do is go crawl into bed and go to sleep. That's all I ever want to do anymore it seems, sleep.

Doesn't help that I've been unwilling to take my anti-depressants for almost two weeks because I don't know their reaction to cough medication, and this prescription I'm taking already effects my mood so god knows what the two will do together. I don't know what to do, I just want some company but I have no friends to come visit me and I'm so fricking hungry my stomach won't shut the hell up but everything needs attentive cooking which I don't have the energy for. ;____;

I know this is super early super secret beta and all..
