Yeah, the videos were fun to watch between trying to pick up tracks. I think there are some slight phasing issues in places, but it could also be me getting used to the distance.

All I have to say is Patrannache is a nightmare. I've been looking for him for a few hours and I can't find this thing. Kalliope, where do you suggest I camp?

Pat is a pain. All I can suggest is avoiding the southern part of the zone, since that's where his tracks tend to not drop the most, at least in my experience.

I'm currently 86 myself and am slightly afraid of setting foot in the zone....

It's not too bad unless you're on a high pop server. I got Glimmer and Savage very easily, but this crane is going to be the end of my sanity. I was actually thinking the southern part of the zone was the best considering the vast flat and dark spaces, but you'd say not? I was thinking it was probably the worst area to find him in the northern part... where the marsh is.

Yeah, I fully expect that my Pat will end up being a server first - not that I care especially, it's just...low pop. He's hard enough to find anyway!

The south is a good spot IF he's dropping tracks. No tracks at all = no luck finding him. Basically, his path is so long that you're on your own, more or less. Any spot you can see tracks is a good one, really.

I stopped responding because as soon as I submitted, I saw a footprint drop in front of me and I lost it. I followed it all the way from the Pools of Purity to almost the Silken Fields.. >.>;;;

YAY PATRANNACHE HAS A NEW MOMMY!

Well, the only way to find him is to look. :D

I gave it a shot last night and managed to find him without too much trouble - given, my server population is pretty low and I don't believe our hunters are hunting the rares, so I'm pretty sure he's a server first, even at this late time. The point is that because he's so hard to track, he's more likely to be up than other rares who are easy to spot, even on a high population server.

You can always get lucky. :) I only had to cross his path once before spotting a track. :D

Yeah, don't give up Zuilu! I'm sure he'll be up for you; I'm positive until NPCscan Overlay comes out, no one will try the tedious task of alt tabbing every five seconds to make sure they're going the right way for a path that'll take two hours to do!

MY point is that I have the worst patience for anything unless I'm being helped by something like NPCscan Overlay. He'll be too hard to find with it and everyone should be busy leveling that as long as you're well informed of his path and make sure you follow the feet print backwards (for right now), you'll find him easily!

Any hints on whereabouts I should start camping for Bloodtooth?

Check the first post of this thread. :)

The key to remember with the Pandarian rares is that they require tracking rather than camping. :D

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but for me Savage's tracks seemd to fade out sometimes. Especially around the lake and near the south end of his track where the elite snakes are. I saw the tracks from ahead of me, flared on them and when I approached they were gone/invisible. I didn't have this issue in the northern parts of his trail. I think that is also the reason I crossed paths with him, I found him on his way back after following the tracks from north to south and halfway back with several phasing issues. I only had done about 10 quests before hunting for him.

Huh interesting thing happened. We were waiting to group up for Sha of Anger and I happened to notice "Puzzling Tracks" on the ground in amongst everyone. I followed them until we were called to come to the fight so I never saw Bristlespine but I think I was close as they were very fresh tracks!

Now if only I could see Patt's tracks so easily! xD

Yep, you were about 5m away from Bristlespine, so long as you were following his tracks. :) Isn't it fun to know that there's a rare RIGHT THERE that no one else can see? ;) Savage did that to me while questing with my friends; I didn't get the chance to follow/flare him, but it was a warm fuzzy feeling to know he'd walked by during the brief time we were in the area.

I've never seen his tracks phase there, Fin, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Just tamed! About 9:30 PST on Draenor (US)
I has a happy.
No sad panda here! :D
Was a bit frustrating to be honest. I came across a couple tracks, then lost the trail.
Then again.
Then followed about 8 tracks and lost em.
Then came across the tracks once more and noticed they were spawning as I went...
waited a bit and tossed a flare... boom. His cute little fuzzy butt showed up.
I am ecstatic. I can now go back to leveling.
Oh, name ideas are welcome. I don't want to leave him as Cat.
He deserves a great name. (:

I followed the tracks of savage today, they are not found in the northern spawn point, but somewhere in the middle they start and end in the south point.
How do I follow the tracks, do I need to follow where the feet go to, or do I need to walk backwards like in the beta?
Because, I 've been hunting a few hours and cant understand how it works, they fade but he was not there, when I walked back the paws where back up, I flared the whole area but no results.
thnx!

When I finally found him, I'd decided to wait and see where the tracks were spawning.
The paw print *if I remember right* was facing the opposite direction from where he was walking.
So still backwards.
I could very well be wrong because I was caught up in the excitement of seeing the tracks lay before my eyes after hours of searching. I would definitely try going either direction of the print if you don't see one close-by after the first direction you go.
I.E. if you go the way they SHOULD go, aka forward, and you don't see one after a little ways, turn back and head the other way. That's what I ended up doing. I had to go to the beginning and the end of his patrol a few times and just walked back and forth until I came across some. It took a few tries, don't give up!
