So while wandering around with friends, we stumbled across a gorgeous pond in Queensdale, a place I usually find rather bland. This pond, however, was just stunning.



...Also there was a boat. Did I mention the boat?

Well, we thought. A boat this great deserves to be sunbathed on.



Wait, no, something's wrong... Ah, much better.



...Anyway. Sunbathing in carrot-print shorts aside, I also made (YET ANOTHER) new Sylvari. I feel like I keep getting close to just the right character, but it's never quite right. This time around I tried for a completely different route and went with light colors instead of dark, kind instead of evil. So far, I'm liking her- I've recently fallen for light, shiny blues. (I think I named her Lethania? It was ridiculously hard to find a good name eesh.)

Yay, Sylvari! I think they're probably one of the coolest races in any MMO. There's just something about them!

I love that pic of Magnus with the bunny, though the bunny looks rather evil if I do say so myself.

I started lvlin my elementalist again and got him some new snazzy lvl appropriate gear

I think that is probably one of my favorite sets. Very nice!

Ooooo, awesome pic of Saamid! The conga line pic is cute, though that charr is not nearly as sneaky as he/she thinks with that white tail hanging out.

Speaking of which, I made a new charr engineer named Barrage Fuseclaw. He's shorter than many charr, and has a leaner build, so he wasn't the ideal warrior. However, he's no less violent and he has a fondness for blowing things up.

His name has changed a few times. I started with Skarn (I kinda liked Skarr and Thorn so I smushed them together), but to me that almost sounds like a Norn name (Skjarn or something, lol). I then looked around online for some ideas and came across the word "barrage" when looking for explosion-esque names. I thought it sounded pretty awesome, but tried to spell it differently so it wouldn't look so obvious. I went with Bharaaj, but I dunno. It didn't sit well with me. Finally I just said to heck with it and re-created him and just named him Barrage Fuseclaw.

I was hesitant to use an actual english word for a name because I didn't know if it was consistent with charr naming conventions. But, I looked around a bit and saw names like Pyre, Ember and Forge; also Scar, Maw, Claw, etc., so I figured it's okay. Plus, Slapper named his charr "Scathe" which I think sounds awesome and a half. I saw another player who named theirs "Sunder Ironclaw" or something like that. I dunno. I think names like that just sound epic for charr. ANYWAY, I think I will make it work because I chose the "honorless gladium" father. If I want to, I could just RP that Barrage abandoned his birth name when his father abandoned his warband, and he took on a new name for himself. :3

So much greatness! Love your new charr, Rhyela, and I always love Yakez. (actually, I just about ran into him while doing some personal story stuff on Jex. Alas, I didn't realize it was you until I'd already clicked to zone into the quest.)

Anyway, today was a GW2 day for me. I spent several hours roleplaying, dragging my poor friends through Brisban Wildlandss on my level five that they were tasked to escort. Betraying them in a few days is going to be fantastic. Rule number one of dealing with Luxx: don't trust Luxx. Of course, due to the nature of the escort (basilisk runs from across map and bites me once, I die, group scrambles to kill basilisk and get me up, I aggro another basilisk from across the map, repeat with increasing numbers of basilisks) I didn't get any great screenshots. But we broke out a Fun Box afterwards, which was certainly fun. For Luxx.


Who's a pipsqueak now?

Once Luxx was safely delivered to her destination, Nef mentioned that the Shatterer was going to spawn soon. Queue a frantic sprint through a zone I'd never been in before to try and reach the dragon on time to get loot. Holy. Shit. That was an awesome dragon.



(That stupid thing dropped two identical yellow shortbows. ...I'm a broadsword ranger, I don't do shortbows. I see what you're trying to say, game, and I refuse to acknowledge it.)

And of course, it wouldn't be a day of GW2 without making another Charr. -.- Murr was too grey, this time. So I replaced her with Skria Thorntail, an engineer. And a considerably more fun character to play than Murr was.





She always looks slightly wild, and I greatly approve.

I am hopeless. Driving home today from a long day at work, I was still thinking of names for my charr. All of a sudden, as I was trying to think of names ending in an -ock sound (like Rytlock), my brain went to "Glock" - like the pistol - and I was sold. Sooo, I've re-made him yet again, but now his name is Glock Fuseclaw, and I love it! I even did the little nerdy bucktooth smile in my Jeep when I thought of it. :B <---nerdy bucktooth smile

It usually takes me several tries, but eventually I stumble onto gold and love it. Have another full-sized screenie because I'm too lazy to re-size this one!

(Also Lupis, crazy Murr is crazy!)

So I've started playing again fairly recently and seeing everyones awesome looking asuras I wanted to make one myself but I pretty much already have one toon of each class so I logged in my engineer to clean out his inventory of anything usefull.

I decided to let him out to play and it served to make me realize why I absolutely adore him.

Yay, glad to see I'm not the only one who made a charr engineer! I generally see charr as warriors and nothing else, so it's taking me a little bit to get past that. At first, I was worried that I'd be bored since all they can learn are rifles and pistols (and shields). But, I just got my grenade kit, and it made it a lot more fun! I like swapping mid-fight, it makes it interesting.

Hmm, what should I sow destruction with today?.....




Ah, yes. I believe my boomstick shall do nicely!

So several of us made a very unfortunate mistake with the above mentioned Luxx--they trusted her. Which resulted in their Company getting into a lot of trouble. After a snarly fight between my charr and the guild deputy/leader/liaison, a handful of charr decided to track down Luxx.
From left to right there's Koros Cinderscorn, Veyga Bloodclaw, and Zariel Darkfang.

Unfortunately for said charr, they were in WAY over their head and ended up getting captured by Inquest. Brilliance.

So uh here's Zar having an pity party in her cell.

It feels a little silly spending 250 gems on a hairstyle kit when all I did was fix my charr warrior's spike colors, but at least now I feel like I can play her again. Somehow, during the time that I stopped playing a few months ago and just recently, her spikes changed from a nice tannish color to bright orange. Wha-? It made me sad. But, they're fixed now, so all is well.

Jexid would like to remind all you tall people that being a tiny little shrimp has its practical applications, too.

Woops, just going to keep spamming this thread. I dragged Jex out to Iron Marches because I was getting bored of the marsh where he last was, and it was a very good decision.





And, while out killing things, Zariel (Azunara's character) and Jex stumbled upon a big pool of lava. It was very cozy for Zar, I'm sure, but for Jex it was a bit... deep.

Heh, I like just how dramatically different Jex and Saamid's faces are, despite having the same structure, markings, and ears. Just slightly lowered eyebrows and boom, totally different personalities.
