"That is why I am here." Zaruuk snapped, curling his hands into fists beside him. "I need to learn to control these fel urges, these cravings for power. Teach me."

''And why would I do that?'', the warlock asked. ''Do you think you have what it takes to manipulate the Fel?''

Indigosa--Ironforge

Indi had been watching and following in silence. Watching Zaruuk scared her to her core--was this what she used to be like when she couldn't control her own powers? A shudder ran through her body as the draenei started to drag her along until eventually he got ahead of her.

The death knight followed him at a slower pace, slinking into the shadows of the warlock building, wincing slightly as she saw Zaruuk causing himself harm. She really hoped that, despite how arrogant the warlock sounded, he could help the mage.

Zaruuk - Ironforge

"Manipulate? Yes." He responded gruffly. "Manipulating it I have no problems with. It's control I need. Focus. As for why? I can offer payment should you require it."
The stray synapse that was not half-mad with the urge to cast flared up, crying out in protest. He was a few steps away from joining the ranks of the Man'ari, surely there had to be another way.

"Control?", the warlock asked, turning. "I can do that. To be brutally honest, you look like you need it."

Indigosa--Ironforge

Indi had a sinking feeling that she was about to get a first hand experience of what she used to be like when she had no control over her powers. She hoped she would be able to keep Zaruuk from doing anything too destructive.

Zaruuk - Ironforge

Zaruuk nodded, knowing full well how little control he had at the moment. He didn't need an old human telling him that.
"What do you require?" He asked, fighting back againts the guilt pooling in his stomach.

Magna - Dun Morogh

Magna and Arbennig walked into the inn, "Ahhh..warmth...."

He immediately ordered some ale and began to drink.

Myriana and Swift - Kharanos

Deciding she didn't want to wait for the others to get their act together, Myri pulled on her cloak and left the inn with Swift not far behind. She grumbled as she pulled her hood over her head, she and Swift blending into the surroundings and they made their way back to the camp.

"Right.", the warlock said. "Try locking the part of you that you don't like out.", he started.

Zaruuk - Ironforge

Zaruuk took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to picture the fel urge within him. It was surprisingly easy. Caging the Man'ari side of his psyche proved to be much harder. No matter how he tried to shut it away, it always found a crack to escape though, tickling his urges as it did so. He snarled softly as his attempts did little more than to curb his hunger slightly.

"Go on.", the warlock said, urging Zaruuk on. The draenei seemed to be having trouble even with something that simple.

Zaruuk - Ironforge

Zaruuk forced his breathing to slow, tried to calm his pulse, then moved to cage the hungry Man'ari once more. It felt flimsy and ready to snap at the slightest touch of desire, but it was caged nonetheless. His eyes opened, they were no longer glowing the blazing fel green from before, but still brighter then they had been.
"It is leashed... For the moment." He muttered.

"Problem solved.", the warlock said simply, turning back to his work.

Indigosa--Ironforge

Indi looked dumbfounded. That was it? They had traveled all the way up here for that? Hell, Willowe probably could have coached Zaruuk how to do that. Well...maybe that was all Zaruuk was looking for? She supposed she didn't really know, after all.

The death knight shook her head. That Man'ari was bound to come leaping out of that cage sooner or later with a vengeance. He was letting her have Zaruuk for now...but for how much longer? A quiet shiver ran through her.

Zaruuk - Ironforge

Almost immediately, the draenei felt cheated. This was just a basic meditation technique. He'd been expecting a lot more. His Man'ari urges were leashed, to be sure, but they were still there. Just placated, for the moment. He sighed, realising that the warlock couldn't do much more really. He didn't know why he expected them to be able to wave a gnarled hand and make it all disappear. Perhaps the darker side of him has been hoping for a little tutorage afterwards? It was not a plesant thought.
Still, this seemed to work fine enough, for the moment. After all, he no longer wanted to kill everyone here and drink their souls. Who knows? Maybe with practice, he'd be able to suppress the Man'ari urges entirely again.
"Here." He grunted to the old human, tossing him a coinpouch before walking upstairs. He wondered if he stunk of fel magic, wouldn't be surprised if he did.
Shit, where was Indi? He couldn't remember seeing her after they left that house. Damn, he's been so caught up in his hunger, he'd left her behind. He stepped outside the building, looking around for any signs of the death knight.

((Have him walk around a bit and I'll get someone to introduce him to fel magic.))

((The way he's thinking at the moment, in that he's actually thinking, I'm not sure Zaruuk is going to be receptive to any more lessons. Unless, of course, you pull off something awesome and unexpected. A tome, or something to indulge his curiosity at his own leisure, however, is an entirely different story))

Zaruuk - Ironforge

Not seeing Indi around anywhere, Zaruuk ventured further into the cavern, trying to remember which way he came from. Damn it, how out of his mind had he been? Everything had seemed like a hunger-filled blur.

Indi followed Zaruuk silently out of the warlock building--a wraith in the shadows. As they exited the building, she noticed him looking around. A wry smile crossed her lips and she continued to follow him once more, curious as to what the draenei had planned next.
