I will make fun of this for the rest of my life, but they are still pretty cool unlike the evolutions that were tacked on in gen 4 (WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RUIN RYDON NINTENDO!?) *huggles her new Amphy* Only thing that really upsets me about this is Blaziken's *digi*volution *XD* While it does look pretty cool, I hope they show other starters the same love

Sorry for double post, but a new trailer was just releasing featuring some of the mega Pokémon - looks like that's what they're actually called too.

Also looks like mega-Blaziken will be an event only Pokémon as they're releasing Torchic's holding a 'mega stone' on October 12th. So it also looks like mega Pokémon come from holding a stone. I'd like to know what their reasoning is for them though, I mean aren't some Pokémon like Lucario and Mewtwo OP enough?!

I kind of like how it's showing Mega Evolution as a battle-only thing. So if a pokémon enters battle with the stone, it turns into super form and kicks butt until the battle is over, then it "calms down" and goes back to normal.

It'll be fun to RP, if anything!

And oooh do want that torchic. >.<

Awe, watched the trailer and then saw that Mega-evolutions only happen during battle ;A; They aren't permanent evolutions ._.

Interesting trade off. Mega stone or other battle item, but not both...Adds a new element to the fight. Wonder how many pokemon will have a mega form.

As of right now, this event Torchic is the ONLY way to get MegaBlaziken as there is no Blazikenite in the game.

Horubii is now Bunnelby

Meekuru is now Skiddo

Dedenne is the same.

Super Training is mini games for EV boosts

Core Training is EV boosts with no effort on your part...but you need items unlocked via Super Training.

You can now see your EV's.

MegaAmpharos is Electric/Dragon

The event Torchic is a lvl 10 Dream World one.

All mega evolutions retain the name 'MegaPokemonname'

Mega evolution IS a stat boost. MegaLucario has higher Attack. MegaAbsol has higher Attack and Speed.

Next CoroCoro issue will reveal more pokemon, more Megas and the type chart with Fairy added.

I could see them at some point making people not use them in tournaments if they are way too OP. Like what they do with certain cards in the TCG tournaments.

I hope that they have some sort of weakness to go along with the power. I think it would give it a bit more flavour.

While I don't like the whole Digivolve thing.....I really want to see a Mega- Charizard

I would rather see mega Pokemon possibly having their own tier, rather then being tourney banned.

The main weakness these Mega Pokemon have is that you are giving up the use of another hold item (Leftovers, life orb, choice items, etc) just to get the new form and its stat boost.

Wonder how strong Mega Blaziken will be now since the original was already an Uber tier pokemon (like Mewtwo, Deoxys and Arceus) with Speed Boost.

So we can jump up ledges now.

More on Mega Evolution:

You can only have one Mega Pokemon in battle. Whether this means only one in the battle itself, or just one in your party is unknown.

NEW MEGA POKEMON

Mega Kangaskhan (the Kangaskhan itself looks the same, but the baby is developed enough to leave the pouch). It boasts the new Parental Bond ability, making all of its attacks hit twice.

YAY, jumping up ledges!! about time!! Great to see the pre-evo to gogoat can be ridden to.
Having one mega pokemon in the battle makes sense, else as was pointed out, what would stop people from making a whole team of them.

Oddly enough, the kangaskhan excites me the most! Seeing the baby out of the pouch makes me happy And that parental bond...well, that's going to be icing on the kick-ass cake!!!!

Oh forgot to say....for those that liked random matchup battling in 5th gen....6th gen well now penalize people who disconnect from battle by counting it as a loss.

I think the Mega Kangaskhan is the best by far XD
