TygerDarkstorm wrote:And yes, Sat, you bring up a hugely important part of RP I totally forgot about. XD Our race and class types actually matter in RP. As Sat said, fear is immensely powerful, but used against a death knight, it's probably nothing more than a tickle to their mind. As a caster, it's all about knowing when you're safe against a melee, especially against a death knight.
Aye, not to mention that undead can be cut into hundreds of bits, and still "live". For example, a swift, agile race could probably dodge a lot more than a bulky race.
Night Elf Hunter
Can probably dodge a lot of attacks but be comparatively squishy.
Orc Warrior
Will probably be able to make some heavy, powerful swings, but not dodge very well.
Gnome rogue
Small target, so very hard to hit, but if, say, the warrior hits, he'll make a neat little puddle of squished meat.
Undead priest
Heals AND deals damage with shadowspec, and can take quite a beating before dying. Immune to fear and such, and can eat corpses to regain health. Takes a LOT of damage from holy attacks/heals, though.

*Raises hand to ask Nub Question*
SOOO I'm thinking that since that Myri hasn't died before like Indi has, she may be a bit longer recovering physically? I are confused.

I imagine there's two parts to combat, mental and physical. Healers can repair most of the physical aspects although I imagine the body will still be tired, like the mind, from exerting itself.
Undead don't really have physical limitations the way the living do so I'd imagine they can recover faster. But I'll defer to the more advanced RPers here.

I think of undead as more of machinations. You fix the machinery (bodies) and they'll run along just fine. There isn't really much in the way of mental recovery when you're a soul infused in a corpse. That's my take on it, anyway.
I always imagined Holy healing as the mental kind of "You can survive the pain! Do it for us!" kind of thing, while, say, a druid is more like "Oh, a chopped-off arm. I'll just regrow that for you.", same as with Shadow healing for undead, which does fix their bodies.

Bleh. I think I might take a break from the rp, even with all the fighting tips I still feel like my characters are a bunch boring regular people that are sides that shouldn't really apper. Because thier too boring anyway to entertain
Great now I feel like some mary sue myself wanting attention.
Maybe I should just quit the rp altogether so people dont have to worry anymore?

Nah, don't do that, Ruby! If you feel like that, try taking a little rest from it, stay away a day or two, and you'll feel refreshed. It happens to all of us. Guess why I was so inactive for a while just recently.
If you REALLY want to, though, I suppose you could sit down and rethink them. And if you end up in trouble during a fight, you can either ask for help, or just tell us to take it easy.

I think some of the undead stuff could depend on character too. Like, Indi is self-loathing and rather dislikes the fact that she's undead. Combat puts a strain on her because she has trouble accepting herself for what she is and using it to its fullest potential and this mentally strains her even though, technically, I suppose she isn't being strained at all because of what she is.
Bleh, I hope that makes sense. =/

I've always seen healing as fixing up wounds and whatnot as well as some energy restored. Druid healing does give me more of that image, though, yes.
And Ruby, your characters aren't that bad. They seem to be doing fine. If you ever feel overwhelmed in battle, too, it's always okay to try and get some other character to help you.

Hmm, slight problem here.
I was planning to introduce my cultist-undead-mage soon, but... I have no idea how to do it. Really. Dx
I suck at this. Any of you guys got some ideas?

I honestly dont think its about combat. I honestly fell like my charaters are just too dull, I mean you look at the rp And they dont seem to have too much relations, most of the time the others character are looking for someone else and seemingly ignoring my characters. Just like my porbelm in WoD not much relationship because thier all sides, if this rp were to become famous and people were making lots of fanart about it I would bet you 100% mine would get the least fanart. I mean it seems everyone like OOHHHH yeah swift is cute! poor indi, shes so awesome.... and those comments with other characters but for mine.
I feel as if no one cares if thier there or not
Not to force you guys to make comments to them but so far ive seen no comments made towards mt charries no matter how frakken hard I try, I seen all others characters get a decent few cents in about thier chararies mine none.
You can hate my charries if you like thats just people opinions im not trying to force anyone to say or do something
im also not trying to be hostile with this

You have to keep in mind that several of these characters have been together since before this RP started.

Well, she's a cultist, so I doubt they'd be kidnapping her.
Ruby, if I have been part in that I really did not intend to, so you have my apologies if I've been giving you that impression.

Making a check up on Faron's branch?
Also, if it makes everyone feel better, we can just start saying no commenting of other people's characters within the thread and that if you wish to say something about someone's character, send them a PM or something. I also personally feel that it's the way you make your characters interact with the others; like I said before, some of these characters have been around each other for while and are very close. Indi and Zaruuk are getting close to one another because of the way I made her interact with him right from the get go.
My two cents.

I'd also like to point out that relationships doesn't necessarily have to be romantic. Azu and Kozri (Obviously my chars, shh.) are just more of a family-esque relationship, and that's how Azu treats everyone she makes friends with. Like they're family.
Just try to reach out more, make yourself heard.

I'm sorry if I left you out of anything Ruby, I didn't mean to. I'll be better about it from now on though, promise.

That's another good point, Azu. Relationships don't have to be romantic. They can be family related (like Azu and Kozri), sister related (Decay and Indi) and even enemy related (Kozri and Faron). It's up to you to make your characters involved and form friendships, sisterhoods, etc.

What would Faron or Kozri do if one or the other just fell off the face of the planet? I think those two live to just hate each other
Yar didn't think about that Azu. Good point, though Myri isn't all that close to anyone to consider them family etc. Though I really think she is strongly started to dislike Rose.
