good luck with that. My old guild name got reported because it slyly referenced Dingoes eating babies
What is good luck with that supposed to mean? It was a suggestion about making dingoes tamable beasts. o_O
I only mentioned the "dingo ate my baby" thing because it's what gave me the idea for them as pets; they're vicious little buggers and could be a nice, potential way to flesh out the dog family. If Blizzard would never implement them because of the reference, then so be it.

No worries, I was just kind of confused.

Now that the cat, er... wolf-people are out of the bag, I wonder if there's any chance now of having Garwal -- or any other pre-Cataclysm worgen model -- as hunter pets. The vanilla worgen models still seem to be in there somewhere, at least according to WMV.
There's degrees of sentience in family trees -- in primates we've got monkeys, apes and anthropoids. Basically, we can tame monkeys and gorillas, but yetis are too close to humanoid to be tameable. Couldn't we have degrees of worgen sentience? Couldn't the Scythe of Elune worgen turn up somewhere as tameable feral worgen that use the vanilla models to distinguish them from the WotLK and Cataclysm lycanthropes?
I was dismayed at passing through duskwood and finding it repopulated with Cataclysm worgen. To me, they've lost their feral edge. I mean, are they still skinnable?

I to miss seeing the old style worgens around, I was really disapointed that they changed all those feral crazed and anamalistic type worgens to the new model...With Gilneas having a sort of cure for the curse...wouldnt we just be able to "cure" them? Atleast with the old models it distinguished them as something different, atleast as a subspecies of the worgens. (like monkeys and gorillas are to humans)

Nope.

Ergh, yeah...I was very disappointed with the removal of the original Worgen models. Places like Duskwood don't have the same atmosphere at all with the new player versions. They're just distinctly lacking in the eerie, feral mood of the originals. :/

It's sad they got rid of the vannila ones I liked them so much more!

I agree, they should have left the originals in. But I guess when they did away with Arugal, they decided to do away with all of his worgen.

The Lost Son of Arugal still uses the old worgen model, he's a rare from Silverpine Forest.

I think the worgen up in Grizzley Hills are still the old models as well, since they haven't changed much WotLK content.
Anyway, to get back to suggestions for Noah, would it be possible to boot some of the mobs in ZG down to lvl 85 when 4.1 goes live? Seeing a potential pet as lvl 86 is a tad bit frusterating

I'd like to see more of the old world wolf skins. Preferably the grey/white/black skin changed to something red or brown like Deathmaw.

I really love those models but find it sad that there aren't many skins to chose from.

First of all: Judging by the new PTR content the winterspring cats get a pure white saber model addition. I am REALLY thankful for this since it's been a big wish of mine for a while now! I've been looking at the modelviewer and making a longing sigh every now and then.
THANK YOU! Also a big thank you for the larger stable!

Or actually, thank you for just about everything
except dropping Eyes of the Beast. That is something I'd personally like to see making a comeback in some form. Make the pet passive while the skill is channeled? Not usable in battlegrounds?
Now a few things I've had in mind for a while now:
•
A feral version of the raptor mount model. We get tameable "feral" or "wild" versions (no harnesses or saddles) of saber mounts, worg mounts and we already have raptors as a tameable family so it's not a huge stretch. The model and colours the raptor mounts have are still very pretty (in my humble opinion) and would love to have one as a companion too and not just as a mount!

•
A new devilsaur skin would be awesome. I was poking at the red/brown devilsaur skin in photoshop and thought that a blue devilsaur would look absolutely neat:
The image is kinda large-ish so here's a link instead.
•
Tameable Hydras?
I know there's gossip about them becoming tameable but I'll still throw in my few cents here.
•
Update the old black/white lion models? Not that hard of an update now that we got a new lion model and skin available?

Sambas could/should keep his unique golden look for those who dig that sort of thing? (King Krush stands out even though he has cousins!)

Bring pack pets that run with you while mounted.
Idea completely ninja'd from this thread:

But I thought I would post it here "just in case"

That devilsaur is fantastic - I have to say I think I'd like it more with a cream/yellow belly like the other devilsaurs, though. Contrast and all that.
As for the lions, I'm fine with that too provided they leave Echeyakee and Humar well enough alone and give the skins to different mobs. I've grown to love my thick-whiskered pixely-haired buddies.

Time I guess to put my two cents in:
1. The black Rock Gem Cat from Storm Peaks??? BLizzard get on that. There is no reason for this model to not be tameable. I honestly could care less that the skin was used for jc companions and Asian Servers.
2.Fulgorge the Worm from Bloody Rare achievement Hellfire pen.???? Blizzard get on that. There is no reason all worms should look so boring.
3. How about a Maghmar model? A Fire Worm that is tameable?? I think every hunter would jump for hallelujah joy with something like that.
4. Worms..and Foxes...and Warp Stalkers... Allow the blink/burrow animations to come alive again. It's what made them cool
5. Portable Geeves??? Portable Mailbox??? How about POrTaBLe StABLeS?!!!!! This is long overdue. It's so silly that we dont have this yet
6. Black/White Sambas Models would make every hunter happy. I don't care if the older versions that look like atari designed them go away.
7.Hunter Achievements??
a. Tame the stable master's pet: That would solve a certain black gem cat problem. And who wouldn't want to get an achieve and title for taming the opposite factions stable master's pet? Just make it hard to do please.
b. Rare STable: Maintain a Rare Pet in each of your 25 stable slots :Title Rare Hunter.
8. Lets talk about Pet Gankers...I appreciate the effort with the crystalized tear being a grey item drop when a rare pet is killed...but it's silly. If a Rare Pet is killed by an idiot Ganker They should immediately get something called..Rez Sickness. No one would want this...it makes them think twice at the least. Give them rez sickness with the inability to hearth/ port/ Mount or be summoned for 25 min....now That would be a deterrant.
9.Why not put some thought into reforging "pets" like the spirit beast? The crab lacks pin...the bear lacks swipe(?), The wolf lacks howl, the cat..well hes cool. But reforging the pet to have a fraction of their racial ability and maintain their skin....hmm maybe a good idea.
10. Hunters are trackers yes?? Give us the ability to use eagle eye while mounted....Zomg Wow!
Ok I think Im done for today

Hope I don't sound like a jackass, but if you look at the post above you, there are people (including me) that would not for the love of something, like our old-world lions go away. I would be so pissed if that happened, that I would probably consider throwing out my computer out the window. And I'm a very rational person normally.
Edit:
And considering how many people were upset with "only" a colour change on Rak'Shiri, I hope Blizz would never make this mistake happen again!

Same here. I really dislike the Sambas model personally and do NOT want Tau or Eclipse to turn into him with their respective colours slapped on. Sure add NEW MODELS with that in game but leave ours alone please.

i was not saying for them to go away...i was saying i personally don't care if they do.
Every hunter likes a pet for whatever reason. And that is their prerogative.
I of course wouldn't want anyone to lose something they enjoyed...however, If graphically as blizz develops we have these pix elated cats standing next to the sleeker models its kind of odd in my opinion. Didn't mean to offend anyone just saying Atari vs Xbox graphics would seem odd standing side by side in the same game.
They should at least get an upgrade in visual appearance, not necessarily a full blown transformation.
At any rate did anyone like the idea of hunter achievements or titles?
