Ivika flicked her tail, tilting her head. Was she the only one here that wasn't special at all? Cherrie was from Unova, Deppy was...well, there was something different about Deppy. Rust and Lark were hybrids. And Asher...again, something different about him as well. And he had a family. Something she didn't anymore.

It demoralized the leafeon, and she drooped a bit. Not special at all. She was vaguely aware of the conversation, and Cherrie's comment. Choice? She didn't chose to be a leafeon. She had wanted to be an espeon. If Fireka hadn't pushed her into that rock...she supposed she didn't regret that. Being a leafeon was okay.

Her tail flicked slowly as she thought, feeling miserable.

Lark glanced at Ivika. She didn't look especially happy.
"So what's it like being a Leafeon? It seems like it could be nice, being able to heal and all."

Venin nodded to Ivyka before looking up and searching around. Getting to her feet, she moved off in seach of Baaz. Why hadn't that damned Arcanine joined in on the fight? Surely he would have been able to hear it.

In the meanwhile, Asher looked to Ivyka.
"Anything wrong Ivy?" He asked the bigger eeveelution.

Ivika twitched her ears, "Okay, I guess. It's nice, if the sun is right. Otherwise, I'm kind of useless." She scowled. "All of you guys are something neat. I'm just a plain old leafeon. Take one step into Sinnoh and you'll see tons of my kind."

Lark shrugged. "At least you blend in. I stand out like a sore paw. Want to know what would happen if I tried to hide? I'd be laughed at, that's what."

Ivika tilted her head, "I suppose...but you could just tear them apart with your nifty head scythe thing. Make little shreds out of 'em."

"Right," Lark countered, "But what if I get too many enemies and I get hurt? Then I end up helpless because I can't heal myself. At all."

Ivika tilted her head, "I suppose that's a good point. But if it's all rainy or snowy, I'll be in the same situation as you. But I suppose if someone focused on keeping the sun shining, I could help keep people healed. And send enemies to sleep. That's something, I guess."

"You can send people to sleep?" Lark asked, somewhat impressed. "That's a powerful ability."

Ivika brightened a bit, "Yeah. If I whistle just right, it sends them to sleep!"

Deppy overheard the conversation deciding to step in "Iv'e also never seen a talking mutant plant thing before" she nodded with satisfaction

"I can... fight," Lark said with a grin. "We should spar some time! I've never really fought anyone, ever... So you'll probably win a few times." She blinked, looking over at Deppy. "I've never seen something like you, so I guess you can't say much."

Ivika grinned at Deppy, "I told you, I'm not a-ah, why do I bother?" She seemed cheered up, and said to Lark, "That's okay. I can teach you. Or something. Then again, I usually ran from a fight than actually fought..." She said, thoughtful. "Oh, well." She shook herself, getting up, looking happier. Her face fell again when she remembered the fight that had happened a few minutes earlier.

"There's going to be more fighting, huh?" She asked, clicking her claws on the ground. She shuddered. She didn't relish the idea of fighting the Dusk again.

"Sounds like it," Lark responded. She lashed her scythe-like tail. "At least we can start to move around and do something interesting though. I mean, doesn't fighting sound better than sitting here and being bored? We get to see things, more than this house and this farm!"

((She's so young. >.<))

Ivika tilted her head, "Yeah. I suppose. Then again, having somewhere safe to stay for a while would've been nice...." She shrugged, "Ah well. You're right, it would probably get boring."

((Edit: *kicks thread.* Damn you, live! I have ideas I need to put in action!))

((Sorry everyone, Azu in particular. I've actually been kinda stuck waiting for a few people to post with certain characters. But that's not happening, so I'm going to flub something out, hope it sticks.
Original plan for the Obsidian Mirror is kinda derailed then. Any potentual soultakers willing to take up the cause?))

Asher sat to the side, away from Deppy, Lark and Ivyka. He sighed as he tapped a rock with his paw. He didn't know what to do now, he had been under the impression that theyw ere going to fight bad guys. Not Auntie Sol, even if she seemed more angry than usual. Or Uncle Buzzard he supposed, if the rumours were true.

Venin suddenly came rushing back, looking around at everyone nearby.
"Baaz is gone," She said, tail thrashing side to side. "And I can't smell him anywhere. Damn it, did you see the Dusk take him?"

~

Baaz padded off, angry at himself. This was a Sojourn given to him, he should not have invilved the others. They had other matters to deal with anyway. The large Arcanine sprinted across the snowy landscape, instincts driving him more than thought, his mind bing ever so delicately driven by somebody else.

~

Psychosis sat atop a rock, waiting for the distant creature to get closer. He couldn't detect anything about it, which lead him to suspect it was a dark type pokemon, but he couldn't be suree until it was within sight.

((Sinestra is happy to help!))

Lark blinked up at Venin. "HEY! He was supposed to bring us!" she protested passionately. Without waiting for anyone else, she sprinted towards where she had last seen him, nose to the ground. Luckily, the snow kept prints easy to see and she followed them. Unluckily, the deep snow was slowing her down. She snarled angrily, frustrated and a bit hurt. She wanted to help, so why did he just run off? That jerk!
Anger did help her run faster, though it ended up with her sinking deeper into the snow.

((Hmm, this could get interesting. Have Sinistra meet up with Psychosis, they can get started. But keep in mind that Ghost was coming towards him too, it could mess up her litte quest if she sees Sol fine and dandy.
Also, has anyone clamied Buzzard yet? As Magna isn't really posting, I'm a little uncomforable simply taking Chomp for my use.
Finally, claiming Kyurem, the new ice dragon legendary, for plot stuff. He'll be a minor character though.))

"Lark, wait up!" Asher called out when he heard the absvee run off. He fell though the snow as he moved, only to be gently picked up by the tail and set back on his feet by his mother. The eevee, once righted, continued to try to run after Lark.

Venin grumbled to herself. "This isn't right. Baaz wouldn't just take off without a word and leave like that. Nor would he leave in the middle of a fight... Dusk? Nah, he left that earlier than I did, and I hear no voices." She flicked her tail irritably, looking ahead at Lark and Asher. Perhaps the two had it right.
"Let's follow after the big lug, see what's got his damn tail in a twist." She called out to the others before bounding off after the two children.

~

Baaz glided effortlessly across the snow. He knew his body should be exausted by now, especually at the pace he was going. But he felt strangely fine. Exhilarated even. The arcanine jumped up a series of rocks, looking about to see where he was and to try and figure out where to go next...

((P.S. Which continent are we on? :S ))
