Edit: I just tried to use it in my signature and it is 305 kb, instead of 300. Am I able to resize it or is that something you have to do? Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff.

Edit 2: If you have to take out one of the pets to make it fit without being incredibly small, I would prefer removing the lion, as it's a retired pet. I requested him in my signature for sentimental reasons, but it wouldn't break my heart if he wasn't in my sig.

Just to be sure, I removed everything else from my signature and sure enough, I got the same error message. That is odd, indeed. Sorry to be a pain.

Your images may only be up to 300 KB in size per image, not 305 KB in size.

Tried that and it worked fine. (And yes I did change my name, my old username was based off my old main that I no longer use)

Try to link it directly from the forums like I told you in my edit.

Kann a virus be coded in 7KB?

It sure does, that's weird. I tried saving/uploading both from the image itself and from the file attachment, and had the same result both times. Won't I need to eventually save this to my own image site, though? Is there a better site than photobucket? I've been using it for years but I'm not particularly attached to it.

Edit: I'm currently using a work computer so I very much hope there are no viruses! LOL!!!

So far, Mania hasn't complained about us uploading stuff and she explicitly told us that there will be no deleting.
In fact, it was her to tell us to upload our stuff to he forums.
So I think, your signature is pretty save.

This might be changed in the future but there is still time to worry about it then, I guess...

I've never heard of a 7kb virus, but photobucket might be adding a "signature", a string of text that tells where the image is from and any possible copyrighting.

That means, they are altering files that are not their property.

I wonder if you agree to that when agreeing to the EULA or if we can now drag them into court and sue them for millions of dollars!

I'm pretty sure the EULA states that they have the right to make changes to your images. Besides, they're not editing the file, they're editing the flags. Flags are for example read/write permissions and such, and if you can access the file, you can change the flags. For example, I'm pretty sure a lot of the files on these forums are encrypted. Mania doesn't own our usernames, yet still she is at liberty to encrypt the userlist. I think the same rules apply.

Dancing can be tricky.

The dance animation in game is put together from several animatons that are randomly displayed. (Except nightelf male dance, which is only the "Jacko" move!)

Here are the dwarven dancing animations:


If i had to combine those moves, it would be like having 4 models, although you see only one.
You can imagine, how small this would have to be, when I add the wolf as the fifth model?

Pick one, maximum two, of those animations or think of something without dancing.
I know that you won't like the outcome otherwise...

I know, I sound sniffy sometimes but I just have to obey the restrictions set to file size. And, I'm afraid, animations just munch up KBs.

A little explanation: When Vephriel puts one model in her signature, she is doing just that: One picture of one model in one stance.
When I add a model to my animation, I have to add 20 pictures of one model in 20 stances. (I usually limit animations to 20 frames)
You see? To have your toon displayed, I need 20 times more KB than Vephriel does. Add some more for storing the animation data (Display which frame when for how long?), and you know where this is heading.
So, when Vephriel puts your toon and 5 pets in one signature, she has 1/4 of the data I need to display only your toon. Since we are both limited to the same 300 KB limit, I have to cut down on size, quality and number of colors. Each model added makes it worse.

I hope you understand my problems here.

Nono, I actually just wanted the dance to the far right. Sorry for not saying that earlier... Although he looks a little fast in that model you've shone... If you could slow it down a bit than I'd like that one. Id you can't I'd like the far left.
