My husband and I bought it...he somehow screwed up his serial code registration (I don't even know....), and I can't get into the server I want because it's always full. I'd pick something else, but all of our old WoW guildies picked a certain one so we want to be on that one, too.
Hopefully all of this crap will settle down by the weekend and we can actually play.

I spent $130 after tax and haven't even been able to get into character creation. /sigh

You can join a different one and just switch over at a later date. It's free to switch over and all your characters go with you. Plus you can add each other and talk cross-realm. :3 Even join cross-realm guilds I think.

This happened to my boyfriend, his serial code wouldn't work at all and ANet's advice was to 'just keep trying'... -.- Never worked, of course. Amazon had to send him a brand new copy.

I've heard reports of that. Did they never fix it?

Well, when he got his new copy the new code worked fine and he was playing the game perfectly okay, so I guess that might be the only 'fix'.

No he didn't. It got sent for free. I don't see it as a really bad thing to be honest. xD Not that you can do anything with the other copy, haha.
Edit: Although you could always lie. o.o Get a free copy and sell one of them... Huh. I wonder... xD

Bleh!!! Both stores are out of GW2, one hoped that the shipment would come in today, but no GW2 to be found when the truck arrived. So, wont get to join the fun until probably Tuesday! If I didn't work, I'd be able to head up to the other malls and see if they have it, but...work...bleh!

Because I over-used my Card, and should really pay it off before making anymore purchases, since it can take up to 5 days for payments to go through vie online...so, I am restricted to what I have on my debt card.
That and I prefer having a physical copy of a game XP

Turns out that GW2 was not being sold at stores OR online for 2weeks due to the high population on limited servers. GW2 sales were halted to allow time for new servers to get up and running to handle the high popularity of the game! Sooo...Hopefully now that sales are starting to resume, I'll be able to pick up my copy this week!
