Clearly you deserve that Insane title X_X

Sounds like you did Ravenholdt too, which I had no patience for at all on my rogue....

I got Zod's last night in a pug started by one of my new guild members... who just hit 80... and doesn't have dbm or vent /facepalm. I'm not sure why I didn't try to stop him or why I didn't ask if he had the required raid items (including gear and knowledge of fights), I guess we just didn't expect him to even get a group going- no one even inspected him I suppose...

After he asked in guild chat what dbm was when a raid member asked if he even had it on, I realized what a dire mistake I made by letting him start the group (he already had the group 90% full by the time I even found out about the raid and got the invite). As a guild leader, this pug could have reflected very badly on me, so I feared the worst.

As fate would have it, he got lucky with a decent group- we got to Saurfang. The other few guildies that came with me (the rest of us raid ICC 10) were laughing that we wouldn't even get past Marrowgar, but when we downed him we were a bit shocked (moreso when he rolled the winning number on the plate chest that dropped), to say the least...

As one of the guildies who didn't come said in chat- even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.

Update: Got Ratchet and Everlook this morning. ^^ Darmoon Faire to go *does a little happy dance*

@VelkynKarma: I have an AMAZING boyfriend, who even though was 'just a friend' at the time, not only let me play his rogue, but got about 1/2 of the boxes for me. He clearly fancied the pants off me <3 saying that, when HE will be going for Insane, I have to return the favour :P

EDIT: I flattered him too much. xD

Grats on the 20% buff. ;) Some groups that couldn't down Sindragosa before are able to now, just by sheer force of overkill. It sounds like there were enough people in the raid who knew what they were doing, at least (which is more important than the buff); very happy for you! :D

More grats, Ty! And I totally hear ya on the supportive bf front...<3 Which in and of itself is an accomplishment. xD

Spotted Arcturis today! :D Sadly, no one around to tame him, but my track record's been so good with the shiny Northrend tameables lately (aka spirit beasts and Krush) that this seemed worth mentioning. Besides, he's not usually wandering around when I fly by to visit; he generally either spawns under me or is a doubly deceased bear.

I still love that the blue he drops is a "glowbear pelt" - but wish there was a less terrible way of extracting it from him. D:

Got Silinrul the [Shadow of the Betrayer] Achievement today. Now all I gotta do is finish up Terrokkar, Blade's Edge, and Netherstorm and I'm done with the Outland Loremaster achievement! The first two shouldn't be too bad as I'm half-done with both from just questing, but the last will be a pain, as I'm 0/120. Ugh. Oh well....I'll get there.

Well, a good friend who was in the same guild as me for a while left the other day to try and gear(score) up so he can PuG (most PuG's are lead by elitists on my realm). Well he asked me if I wanted to do Naxxaramas, I asked if it could be an Undying run then he suggested Ulduar. I said cool and we somehow found 8 other people who would actually run Ulduar. We took the first boss down fairly easy (Accidently hit the door and started the event...lag spikes, heh?). We then took Razorscale down, earning me the The Siege of Ulduar, then defeated XT-002 Deconstructor in under 205 seconds with DBM telling me that we only just done it, with 5 seconds to spare! We then killed Kologarn with the only people surving was my friend who was wanting to gear up, and a mage who didn't actually participate...Then it went pear shaped and disbanded.

Good fun though!

I got a shaman to level ten! Even better, I got her to 13 AND got her fire totem too!

This is an achievement because to date I have always had trouble with shamans, so the fact that this one is actually genuinely interesting me is a very good sign :D

Just done the best run on Hellfire Ramparts EVER! The entire group was great, but the tank misjudged it and pulled a group that also dragged with it Gargolmar. I refreshed tanks Earth Shield and threw in heals when needed. The mage and lock were masters at grabbing aggro though...so I was about to heal lock until I saw that the tank suddenly dropped to 2k, I used a lesser healing wave and was going to do a healing wave but then I saw tank was still under 3k hp, so I started to spam lesser healing waves but alas, more damage output was on the tank than heals.

Tank goes down and there's still the boss, his healers and 2 from the other group, mage, DK and lock all focusing on boss to atleast get him down and as i'm about to heal the mage she goes down and the lock in quick succession.

Now the boss is down, and the DK just finishes off one of those healers, and by now i'm running low on mana. Heal DK as she takes down another mob, wile I heal myself as the last mob is slowly but surely taking down my health. DK starts attacking, wait for more mana...Heal myself, wait for more mana!..Down to 1k hp, gift of naaru, not enough healing power...C'MON MANA! mob is nearly down!..

100 odd hp left and I thought to myself "i'm dead!"...mob goes down and as he does I can heal myself. Most intense healing moment of my life! I throw down a mana totem as my other was too far away and the tank gave us a a lovely comment "Awesome work Mcshaman and Meetdeath" and then as I ressed, mana regained and healed everyone the DK went on and said "I aint taking all the credit, and brw healer ur da best darn healer ever!" and as we finished the instance everyone left and the DK finished off with saying to me "ty for the run u r IMMENSE at healing!" I thanked her, with her last comment being "best eva".

It was great to see thoes comments as i've always been nervous at healing, and my first ramps run on my shaman started off with a tank pulling two groups and I dunno, he must of been wearing bad gear as I done what I do every run and it works out fine, that time being the exception. It's just great to get those comments after a pull like that.

Sorry about the size of this btw, didn't want it in one block as it can seem daunting...

After avoiding the Outland quests for way too long, I finally started working for the achievements a while back.

Well, today I finished Netherstorm and man, was it a pain! I also tamed Nuramoc seeing as he spawned RIGHT above me. XD I've been wanting to try a Chimaera but don't like the other skins, so let's see if I'll bond with Nuramoc. :D

Now I just need to locate 10 quests in Terokkar and 48 in Shadowmoon Valley and then I'm done with all the expansion areas. \o/ In Kalimdor I'm only missing 88, so EK will be the biggest challenge with 280 quests to go.

Had a wonderful random group with Nas. Pro warrior tank, a hunter decked out in t6-level gear (clearly an old raiding main), and a solid dk and ret pally. If only we could keep the people from other servers. :(

Gah, I hate when you find an awesome group from other servers. It's really sad there isn't a way to keep them in an open friends list and be able to queue with them again.

A couple of weeks ago while I was levelling my Paladin (in her 30's) I ran into the most amazing tank and healer pair. It was a husband and wife, and this guy was just a BEAST of a tank. He would pull half the instance at once and his wife could always keep him up. We'd plow through things. I stuck with them for a good 10-12 instance queues in a row because it was so fun. Sadly they eventually had to log and that was the last I saw of them.

I'm definitely going to log their names/servers somewhere in case things change with the whole battle.net accounts being able to chat cross-server.

Seriously, a tank who asks if the hunter is interested in taming King Dred while we're still in the first section of DTK is a keeper.
