I want.....both! XD I suppose I was just hoping that it wouldn't seem so uneven. Meaning yeah, it might have high attack, but everything else is lower. I think I'll take your advice and try both out for a few levels to see how the stats start to swing, and make my decision then.

I don't play competitively or anything, just strictly the storyline, so I don't even know why I'm so worried about it. As long as I'm not totally derpy and try to use stuff that's ineffective or weak, I should be fine.

Thanks for the info/advice! :)

Mega Snorlax would be the most powerful Pokemon ever. Full stop end of story.

X/Y news:

Starter second stages revealed! They retain the pure type. Chespin's second stage, Hariboogu, can learn Mud Shot.

Fennekin's second stage, Teeruna, can learn Psyshock.

Froakie's second stage, Gekogashira, can learn Bounce.

Fossils revealed...both are brand new type combos!

A rock/Dragon T-rex named Chigorasu is the first fossil. It has the Huge Jaw ability, powering up biting moves.

The other is a Rock/Ice Diplodicus named Amaruse. It has the Freeze Skin ability...powering up Normal moves and making them Ice type.

That white pokemon seen during the Mega Kanto Starter reveal is a dog named Torimian...it is Normal type with the Fur Coat ability (reducing Physical dmg taken). His appearance is customizeable.

Nyaonikusu is a new Psychic cat pokemon with gender differences. The differences extend beyond appearance though as the movepools differ as well. Males are Support-based. Females are attackers. Abilities: Keen Eye or Infiltrator.

Fairy is supereffective against: Dragon, Dark, and Fighting.

Fairy is resisted by: Fire, Steel, and Poison

Fairy is Weak to: Poison and Steel.

Fairy Resists: Fighting Dark and Bug

Fairy is Immune to: Dragon.

New Mega Form: Mega Mewtwo X...a Psychic/Fighting Mega form for Mewtwo with the Steadfast ability. It is exclusive to X. The other Mega Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo Y...is Y exclusive.

New Mega Form: Mega Garchomp.

There are in-game boutiques and Salons to customize hair and clothes.

Steel MAY be losing Dark and Ghost resistances. This is unconfirmed.

just saw the starter forms i have to say i don't like them.the frog looks ok but the make the fire pig look way better.so i am glad they are giveing use the kanto starters as the starters so i can just be with my chamander and not worry about which of those starters i take.i'll replace them with propbably a wild pokemon that i come across like the new bird pokemon.as for garchomp he looks like a villen.not saying i hate it i like his evil look.i can bring my garchomp over and see him turn evil.as for the mewtwo i like the Y one more then the X.the Y one makes me think of some othe anime characters that i like such as nova from rayearth.so thats just my opion on this stuff so far.

Wow those are interesting changes!

Both fossils sound cool, hoping the dragon one is in Y.

That cat sounds really interesting...hope it's cool looking.

Liking these for Fairy...immunity to dragon will be nice, and the weaknesses will make steel and poison more attractive for those who didn't use them much (I sometimes did).

Not too concerned about the Mewtwo stuff...never was a fan of using it in the first place for some reason.

Ooo, Garchomp! Bet that'll be cool.

Not sure what to think about Steel loosing those. It had a ton of resistances, but the things it was weak to were fairly common stuff. Still wouldn't be bad tho to have steel take normal damage from something other than water for a change heh.

Is there a link to any of this?

Sweet! That Garchomp looks awesome!

As for the starters...I'm really digging the frog's second form, but not the other two. I'd have to see their final forms to decide for sure which I pick since that last form is the one I'm usually using the most lol.

I love Froakie's evolution! It's the starter I've been rooting for the whole time, but I was worried I wouldn't like where they went with it. Very pleasantly surprised. :) The other two don't really appeal to me at all though.

Totally agree with you. He's turning into a bad-ass looking frog so far. Hope the final form is just as good! (Heck, if that was his final form, I'd be happy too lol)

Same Froakie was the only one I liked the look of and it seems what he turns into looks sweet too! Not digging the fire fox at all.

Also can I add the new Mewtwo looks even more like he's from Dragon ball Z

Good lord I know. Also I am hoping Trex will be in X lol.
...Still ugh... Can't get over that they are making another anthromorph starter with Fennekin

Froakie's evo looks pretty cool but Fennekin's is a real let down with it being ANOTHER anthro and Chespin... I have no idea where they're going with him. Still holding out to see Fennekin's final evo though, I've rarely strayed from Fire starters and I'm hoping there'll be enough reason for me to return to Fire types as I really didn't like the Gen 5 Fire starter and grudgingly had to go for a different type. Thankfully Serperior is pretty damn awesome graphically as I love snakes so it made the choice stupidly easy to switch  But I miss my Fire types.

Other interesting notes to touch on-- theres an actual pokemon who's the opposite role based on gender? That's epic. That's really cool. I really like both genders graphically so regardless of which color becomes which gender, I'll definitely be picking them up and seeing how they fare. And the dog's appearance is customizable? Even cooler :O

Fairy's chart is interesting, gonna take a while to get used to it and um, wtf Nintendo, ANOTHER Mewtwo form? Now we have a Freeza and a Cell(ish) look-a-like /facepalm. The T-Rex looks promising and the... baby brachiosaurus(?) pokemon looks.... chibi. I um, it looks just... way too cutsey. Way, way too cutsey. Eevee was cutsey but they're rather fox-like and fluffy-furry really helps make something so adorable still look cool. This one, well, I'm sure there's people who are doing flip flops of squeeing joy over it which is all that matters  Hoping the evo will look a little more grown up.

I actually LOVE the little baby Brachiosaurus. All the other dinosaur Pokémon are made to look big and scary, cute is nice for a change! It reminds me a lot of Chikorita in its cuteness. I'm also super excited now about..wait for it.. the frog.

Fennekin's second evolution was totally a let down and Chespin like.. Wth is going on with that? I'm excited about the psychic cats although I admit I'm more biased toward the male form. The dog is super freaking cute and I cant wait to "customize" it!

I'm glad that I got Pokémon Y because I love THAT Mewtwo more than the Mewtwo of X.. Who's feet I cant stop staring at. I'm not sure how you'd even get Mewtwo in the game though.

*Late to the party*

Well, not sure what to think about Chespin's evo, but then again, most plant types with three evolutions seem to have one that I hate! I'm hoping the next evolution has him "blossom" so to speak as he looks sort of like a seed at the moment.

I absolutely have no idea where they're going with Fennekin, but I'll be honest, if this is the way they're going I won't complain. I really like how it looks like it has a skirt.

Froakie is... pretty damn cute. x.x

And I love *all* of the new pokémon they're showing off! Torimian is freaking adorable and looks like an alpaca mixed with a poodle, Chigorasu is freaking badass, and I am in love with the female psychic kitty. Must have.

(And Shalyth, I'm assuming the one on the left is male, as it has more generally "masculine" features and the softer, curlier look makes it look more support-ish, while the darker, sharper one on the left definitely looks more attack based.)
