I like how they combined a ton of new users with a huge event...fun for everyone...

I honestly believe they have very little idea on how to properly run a website like this. I think they saw how much their art was loved, had a great idea for it, and executed it very poorly. They need to work on the fundamentals of their website before they just keep releasing things that are meant to shut us up for a little while. New genes, new breeds, events and such are great, but it's hard to make use of them when the site keeps shitting on itself.

I managed to get an egg. A charcoal/carmine/lavender male with arcane eyes. I wanted a scroll though (managed to get a wildclaw with the colors AND eyes I want). I'm grateful for him though.

I said this about a month ago in this very thread - and most thought I was being unfair but it's so very true. Yes they are human, yes things go wrong - but the developers and admins don't help themselves at all. It's all take, take, take and very little given - or rather, nice things given but we are unable to receive as the site is so poor.

I tell ya, if the Paypal link ever broke they would shit themselves to fix it

I may have missed it or silently agreed with you.

Some people forget that you can still enjoy a game/product while being critical of the people who produce it. For example, I love World of Warcraft, but that doesn't mean I think every little thing they do is awesome. I can still enjoy the game and content while critiqueing stuff I feel is wrong. That's how companies make a better product.

FR does give us lots of little stuff, but anymore I feel like that stuff is put there to make us users be like "ooooo shiny" and shut us up about actual site issues as well as make their diehards be like "see all the cool stuff they give us? you can't complain!" Uh, yeah we can. I can complain that they put out an event that about ruined the site because of all the lag and crashing. They should have used that time spent fixing site fundamentals and maybe coming up with some real solutions for the economy or something instead of living in some weird world where their game is "fine" and "nothing is wrong." And then released an event like this.

I like FR. I love breeding my pixel dragons and getting new ones and stuff, but I feel like the team running the site has no idea how to properly run a site like this and I think it would be totally acceptable if they got some help. Let the arty ones focusing on making great art and such and get some people in to really do a great job on the tech work and someone in to say "How can we make this better?"

I think there is a difference between being critical in a constructive manner and being a jerk, unfortunately A LOT of people prefer the latter approach. By the way not staying I think Bowno was being a jerk, this is a in general sort of comment.

Oh right, there definitely is. You can't just be like "Well your game sucks." That's just being rude.

My wrist and thumb are completely numb. Ground out 100 chests. 100 boxes of fail. And all that time and coli and still don't have a celestial antelope.

Double but to follow up, I had you (Bowno) on the mind because of dealing with a jerk who had been being a jerk to you and got things confused

Oh! I just woke up so when i saw "Not staying I think Bowno is a jerk" I for some reason thought that in my little bit of depression that I had at some pointed freaked out on here saying that I wasn't staying and left or something o_O

I was really confused for a moment and was like "I don't remember anything about not staying. WHAT DID I DO LAST NIGHT OH GOD?!"

I totally agree Tyger - I posted similar thoughts when users were able to change the news threads on the main page - my sick sense of humour found it highly amusing and I applauded the users who posted the fun stuff - why? Because AGAIN it highlighted another instance of 'let's slap a bandage' on the site rather than shutting it down and FIXING it for good. They keep shoving more things on there and pasting over the niggles until the site implodes.

I'm with ya Syleye, but I can't help but feel the whiners and real jerks like your example are listened to over those who are being constructive

Someone replied to a thread Bowno started in suggestions. This person is an ass-hat on a regular basis.

I generally avoid the forums for that reason. :/

The person in question likes to post first in a terribly toxic manner pointing out how stupid I am and telling me how I'm not allowed to complain on the forums and blahblablbah. Then waits till I reply. After I reply, they edit their post to take all that out. On the first thread, you can see the first time it takes place where I'm like "No? No what?" Because all they had posted at first was "No. Just no."
Then they edited in a little more and I didn't see it at first until they started going off on me a bit. It only continued from there.
On the second forum they did that again. I had written a huge thing out in reply, saw they edited their post, so I did the same. They didn't seem to like that much.


EDIT: It turns out that they continue to post on my suggestion board as well every time someone supports it in attempt to .. I dunno honestly. I guess let them know they're wrong? I guess they either really hate my guts or really hate my ideas. Maybe both. It's like they're watching for it to be bumped.
