He should, I've only ever seen him twice out of the 200+ times I have run that place... But he only appeared to me in the regulars. I hate that place on heroic =P Took me around 20+ more times before I could tame him, cause the first time I saw him I was one level too low.

*sigh* and Skarr was killed because the hunter was there first and didnt want anyone else to have it. Even though he was in BM spec and didnt know how to tame it, and was waiting on a friend to help him tame it.. he kept attacking when someone else tried and just ended up killing it. Cause he was there first and anyone else was "ganking" the untagged rare.... ......................... .............. stupid hunter.. seriously.. then skitter was taken from him by a tauren hunter while he had it tagged.. who just said qq more. Then he still cant understand what he did was the same thing the tauren did...

As you all know, Runetotem, my server, is evil. Skarr spawned and was of course killed within 10 minutes by a DK. Solix was killed about 30 mins earlier, either on purpose or by accident (its hard to tell with him, since a simple mistake can drop his energy too low and kill him). So bad day for Molten Front rares.

So Deth spawned in. And this Tauren hunter was camping the spot everytime I passed him by, so naturally when I target Deth he is already at 60% health or so cause this guy was trying to tame it. So I say, "What the heck, I am on a roll helping these other hunters out today, might as well help him here." He probably thought at first I was trying to ruin it for him, but I wanted him to tame it. Having seen Deth die in front of me during my own attempt made me want to see this spider tamed successfully. So I run in, CS and launch an ice trap. I try to get the aggro to my pet the in order to get him down faster by sacrificing poor Yuni. Yuni was a good sport though and she died three or so times for the cause. But it was hard for her to get the aggro. We get him to 30% health and a worgen hunter shows up. I quickly whisper him as I revive Yuni to please let the tauren have him, since he was here first. No response, so I offer 200g. And still no response. Then a troll hunter shows up... one thing leads to another and someone is killed, so now Deth is within taming health, probably 15% or so health remaining. I back off and dismiss Yuni so she doesn't accidentally die and causing Deth's health to drop down more. The rest is a blur cause it didn't take more than a few seconds after I dismissed her for Deth to drop down dead. The tauren hunter was dead and I was mad. I asked the worgen why he did that and he responded, "The horde have screwed me out of this pet 5 times, no way was I going to let him have it" I responded, "Just cause he is a horde and others did that, doesn't mean this guy would do that too, thats a pretty stereotypical thing to say. I myself was cheated out of Deth by an Alliance player." He responded, "Better luck next time sport". He /laughed at the tauren too which really set me off. I mean, /laughed at an orc mage earlier cause he kept trying to kill Solix (But he died and thats why I laughed, leave Solix for the hunters) But this guy laughed at a fellow hunter for ruining his tame.

Ugh, just cause there are pricks out there doesn't mean its okay to become one yourself! Worgen hunter, if you read this, you know who you are! TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT! and Deth once again couldn't be someone's pet!!!!!!!!!!! (It was going so smoothly too...)

I cried for Deth and the Tauren a few times before I logged over to my horde priest to apologize to the tauren. He thanked me for trying to help him, and was happy that there are hunters/players out there like me, that can look past Horde vs Alliance when it comes to these pets and work together. To everyone else its Horde vs Alliance, but I like to think that hunters can just respect each other as a community when it comes to the tames that take a bit more effort. Sadly, not everyone feels the way I do.

Okay, here's something REALLY STRANGE. Solix was ganked. So me and a few other hunters started asking in general WHY the person had killed him (it was fellow horde). So I get a tell saying "I see you're female, so I guess thats why you get so emotional over a stupid pet". WTF!? I'm MALE in real life, but my TOON is female. Even if I WERE female irl, it shouldn't matter. That comment was very sexist and uncalled for. The women in my channel tore into this guy once I told them what he said about women. I reported him for being sexist, even though I am male. I did not tell him I'm male, I just said "yes" when he asked if I were female irl to see if he would call me any names, hopefully prolonging the lovely ganker/sexist jerk's ban. He didn't. He just said. "Oh, I see. Enough said, then since you're female. Go cry over other things or cook something." I wanted to punch him. My sister and my mother who ARE really female are not stereotypes and I haven't heard such sexist things in a VERY long time.

This was really just a WTF moment for me. We need a WTF thread when strange things happen that really confuse you.

OMG, what a jerk! I probably would be upset if I was told to go cook something.... I might get sad over a pet, but I haven't cried. I just get disappointed with the fact that some people lack a heart, I mean how can you get satisfaction by ruining someone else's day? Back when I used to play my warrior people assumed I was a guy at first cause "girls don't play warriors" (someones exact words to me on vent once)... well they do, my warrior was my first main and I used to love playing her.

If it helps you feel any better, I did a recording of my friend taming Deth successfully. Heh. Its not much, but I hope you getting to see the pretty purple spider actually tamed by someone helps you feel a bit better.

While thats nice, I'm still kinda more upset because every time I passed by the spawn location today, I saw that hunter waiting... and then he finally spawned and he had taken the first steps alone to tame it, only to have it ruined for him because of the "Horde vs Alliance"/"If I can't have, it neither can he"/"It happened to me so I am gonna do it to him too (Even if this guy had nothing to do with the ones who did it to you)" mentality. Just blows my mind knowing that some people gain some sort of satisfaction by ruining someone else's day. :|

I'm... just going to go punch a wall now, kthx.
That is completely uncalled for and I would of dropped a small little comment on him about how many men I've seen go into a male-PMS-induced bloodrage when they lose in other games.
Especially on Xbox live.
I mean, really.

It was hard saying I'm a girl when I'm really male, but I really wanted him to insult me some more so that Blizzard could smack him with a nice, long ban.

Also, YES, men do get just as pissed and male-pmsy as women do over games. Hell, THIS GUY was an example. He was so upset over people calling him a ganker that he decided to...insult women to make up for it? I have no idea. He didn't even put me on ignore when I told him several times I was reporting him. He just said "go ahead, Blizz won't do anything". Discrimination and comments against one's race, sex, etc is in violation of the ToS, so yeah, Blizz will do something. Thats abuse and they DO care. At least the GM I talked to said it was very uncalled for (as a GM, he knew the name my account is registered under, a MALE name, but apparently was also just as offended and decided not to say anything about it to me) and said the player would be "dealt with" but he couldn't tell me what because that goes against GM rules.

Regardless of the fact if you lied to the player or didn't... he broke the rules. You can feel just as hurt by that comments if you are a male. To some men, women are the strongest role models in their world (my ex has a very tough mom and sister that don't take crap from anyone) He would be really offended if someone told him that part about the "go cook something".

What astounds me more then anything, is how families can seriously raise children that talk such sexist dribble...Because believe me, if I hear any sort of the filth come out of my son's mouth he's getting the stupid smacked out of him. I really do not care how old he is. >.>;;

Oh, yes. My grandmother, mother, and sister are some of the strongest people I know. My grandmother is in her 80s and still acts like she's in her 20s sometimes. She can possibly use an ipad better than I can. And she had to go through some SHIT. Her husband died about 20 years ago, she had to go through the WWII shit and had to watch the damned atomic bombs kill thousands of her people, her son died shortly after she gave birth...but NOTHING gets her down! I never knew my uncle, and I didn't know my grandfather very well, but granny makes sure I hear about them, even though my uncle died when he was just a baby. And she talks about them without a single tear in her eyes, like its the happiest thing in the world, to talk about them again, to remember them. So yeah, SCREW women insults. I will report every single person who insults a woman. Half my toons are female for a reason. Even in game, female orcs have displayed much more strength than male orcs. Reading the comics, Draka MADE herself into a warrior when she was sickly and weak, while Durotan, Orgrim, Garrosh, etc were BORN with strength, Draka earned hers and came out just as strong as any of the men. Same with Aggra. She thinks she's not as powerful as Thrall, but if it weren't for her, Thrall would have been gone for good. I'm a huge Thrall fanboy, but I know that he'd be dead meat without Aggra, his FEMALE companion.

Sarantha, I think I love you, hahaha! Good work with reporting the angry little man, I'm sure he got a nice slap on the wrist. Your grandmother sounds like a very inspirational woman. I've always admired strong women. I love your principles, Mychelle hehehe! My boyfriend was raised by a very strong woman, and also talks back to guys who say that kinda crap.

I do think that gaming has helped toughen my hide, having come across openly chauvinistic boys who talk big because they feel safe behind their computer screen. I now have some snappy comebacks, know when to let things roll (which sometimes pisses offenders off even more when they see you're unperturbed  ), and when to lay a smackdown. In the field that I'll be working (once I'm finally out of school, lol!), it's still seen as a "boys' club". One of my friends was once told by an advisor that he "knows it's hard for a woman to be doing this kind of work". She's feisty, and scathingly retorted "You will correct yourself". He stuttered a mumbled apology. Of course, the work isn't all overshadowed by sexism; it's just something you deal with often enough to be on guard. So it's at least a take-away from gaming that I've learned how to better deal with it, when it does arise!

After watching Karoma for 2 hours, and asking all the hunters in my channel and near the area, I just couldn't find this cute little wolf a home. I released a pet I dislike and never use (Jadefang, I have too many tenacity pets anyway) and tamed him myself. I even asked a lvl 84 hunter that was close to dinging if he had any interest in the wolf. He did not. So now I have 2 adorable little ghost wolves. I'm posting this here because I feel bad that no one wanted this pet, and I couldn't kill him for his tear (I really love spectral wolves, or just wolves of any type). Poor Karoma! I'll love you! Ignore the Hyjal bear cub. Its not going to get eaten, I swear...

I feel so bad, I had to tame both Solix and Skarr again to save them from being killed by my GUILD LEADER.
-
Solix NPCscan went up, and it took a few tries. The guild leader left, and said: OOH SKARR, ME KILL. At that moment, I tamed Solix, and tried to convince him NOT to kill. He died three times (we were in party, doing dailies), and I rushed fast over to see him die one more time. Skarr was still alive. Sitting down, I eat (died in fire XD) and casted tame, Silence Shot, Tame Marco. Skarr's overhead turned green, and guild leader rezzed. Convo:
GL: Are you kidding me?
GL: We could have gotten an achievement, or gear.
Me: No...You would have seen me rage, only get a grey quality item that is worth 25g, and reputation with the hunter community go to hated.
GL: Well...
Me: AND Kuna(our former g-leader, who had to go for some time, we just call her that, it isn't her Character name) would've raged, too. I told her if I saw Skarr up, I'd tell her.
GL: If I see it up again, and you're nowhere near me, I'm killing it
I couldn't argue any further, because I am close friends with our REAL guild leader, and if I got kicked, he would have told her a LOT of lies...probably..
-
I feel so bad, that a hunter could've had a new shiny cat, but OH NO, the g-leader HAD to try to kill him. I even named Skarr Caillte, which means Lost in Irish/Celtic language.
I have no bloody idea what to do now
