They're all different. I'd never want to tame a bear with scars all over it, or a hawk that looks mummified, but I get that some people like them without feeling that way about them myself. If I'm not fond of a look I generally leave the thread to those who do want to gush over it, as expressing an opinion of not liking something is a bit different. Unless it's accompanied with some kind of constructive criticism it's not really interesting to anyone but yourself, while sharing an admiration of something tends to build bonds between the people who do.
So, people are allowed to give their positive opinions and share them, but people aren't allowed to share their negative ones, especially when a comment about why is accompanied with it? I didn't give constructive criticism, no, that would be pointless to do here anyway as I'm sure Blizzard employees who make up a vast majority of the design team don't read this forum. My point was stating that I'm not sure why people like these bears since they seem so very out of place and, sorry to say, lazy. As in, can someone explain it to me please. I've already said I am happy for those that like it since they are finally getting what they wanted, but I'm not sure *why* people wanted it in the first place. So really, I'm asking a bit of a question. Why do people want the non-spectral version of Arcturis and why do they like it? Surely I'm not the only person though that sees the bear as some kind of glitched-out Arcturis.
I'm not saying that I don't want it in the game, I'm just stating my disappointment and that I have a slightly different view from most other people here. Sorry for having a different opinion.
There might be a quadrillion reasons for people to want a pet and frankly those reasons are none of our concern, but I think the most appealing part of it is the lack of transparency.
While I probably won't tame this bear, it also barely looks like the real Arcturis. It seems more fierce and well, forthcoming to its name; like a zombie bear.

Well sure, look at the poofy back hair!

I love zombie bear

I would definately pic one up. Arcturis is my favorite pet but I moderately dislike how BM plays (compared to SV anyways). This would be my perfect SV-version of Arcturis
I remember an old petopian had it in his/her sig probably 2 years ago. Said something like "zombie bear will eat your brains!" I wonder if they are still on this site. I think they even had their avatar set to it too.
(sorry if i forgot who you were zombie-bear fan)

Can I beg that chat get moved to a different thread so Doomcookie doesn't have to wage through two pages of not-pet-tames to get to pet tames? :c

I appreciate your concern but it's fine. I'm all good. Got everything updated except for some things I need to double check, hehe. I really don't mind beast discussion going on here.

Just as long as it doesn't get too out of hand.

The Dusky Lory in Krasarang is no longer the Aotona skin parrot, its brown. It reminds me of a brown owl on a parrot frame.

Ohai unused skin!
That doesn't really strike me as "dusky" but I'll play along!

Spotted Caterpillars are tameable now, they come in blue, green, yellow, and red.

So you guys can get those now! (though really the only new one is green)

Aha, I didn't think that would appear for a patch or two. Awesome

"Dusky" just means gloomy or dark, it doesn't have to actually look like a sunset. So it's kind of appropriate for this one, which is probably the drabbest of parrots (and was the only unused parrot skin, yay!).

Aww, I see it as a warm and bright brown!
On another note, quilen are fixed and no longer go all "WRAAAARGH" and what not when they run! Which means I can finally stand to have them out and attempt a real bond!

Whee!
But alas cranes are still not fixed.
And waster striders are smaller now!

Cool, that water strider looks like quite a manageable size
Have they made spore walkers any bigger yet? Or shale spiders?

I... should check shale spiders. I don't have a spore walker on Mia.
Dread Stalkers are tameable now. As well as Dread Matriarchs.
Wastekand Yak, black yak, level 90.
Wasteland Calf, level 90, brown, grey, and white
Pengsong, level 90 elite white yak

By "yellow" do you mean that kind of greenish-brown skin that the Painted Stag is? If so, we're probably only missing purple and orange now.
And are all the yak skins in now too? I think they may be.

Yeah. Looks like yellow fur to me.

Found this Venerable Viseclaw in Krasarang Wilds, a level 87 elite using the black crab skin and blue markings. So far I've only found it on a tiny island in the far west.
