As for the spine of draenei females (not sure about males, never payed much attention to their spines, usually looking elsewhere

) I always took it to be linked to the way their legs bend. Same goes for the worgen and tauren. The animal-hind-legs function as perma-stilettos, and we all know what the stilettos force on a human spine. It's bad for us, but maybe it's right for them. They're an alien species after all

True. Alien anatomy is different. I just personally would like a longer tail(they actually have said they do wanna do this) and a bit of meat on their bones.

It's not that they shouldn't be balanced, it's just really grossly exaggerated in the girls. If you look at a tauren (male or female) or worgen or anything else that's digitigrade, even they aren't as unnaturally bent backwards. The male draenei certainly aren't. To me, it just looks like they did it to ensure that their boobs and butt stuck out as far as possible. They could reduce the distortion a lot and keep them looking graceful.

Do you have a link to that? I'd like to read it :3
To me I think they did it to make them feel more alien. It certainly does make them stand out.

I'd have to go digging for it. I saw it on MMO Champ with one of the blue posts. *goes off on excavation!*

I don't say their anatomy is without fault

I would love to see something done with female tails - no more of that limp dead weight, make them more lively (male draenei tails are perfect for me).
As for posture, there is that strange angle in which their arms go from their torso, with shoulders pushed to far back. Old fem orcs had exactly the same issue and they fixed it quite nicely. Fem tauren and worgen don't have it, luckily, so it's just fem draenei issue now.

I dont like the way shoulder pieces sit on a female Draenei either.
EDIT: Omg...that typo...*hides in embarrassment!*

I will agree that making them more lively would be neat.

haha. Shoulders s(h)it weirdly on male draenei too. Too far out, and in some cases, they actually clip into the back of their shoulders really badly. Or sit at a weird angle (usually tilted up too far on the outside edges). There's some of the shoulders that literally look like they're sunk into a male draenei's shoulders and jutting out like some kind of bizarre body-modification.

I wouldn't mind seeing some longer tails on the female draenei either! Though this is probably a bit too long, it does look better than the teeny little "dead snakes" as people like to say.

Looking for the tail thing still but....
Will the male Draenei finally get real eyebrows, like they have in the concept art?

We're definitely looking at all existing concept art and considering these kinds of additions. (artofcgrobinson)

Question: Visually, what was your favorite race pre-update, and has this changed whilst working on them?
Man, it's like picking your favorite kid - you curse the rest with low self-esteem and counseling bills (Source)
Draenei for the women (it's a tail thing) Dwarves for the drinking and beards, Goblin when I'm being honest (Source)

EDIT: AHA! Found it! :3
Will Draenei have a longer tail (as more often shown in art than not), or will they be stuck with the small ones?
That's a cool idea, no promises but I'll add it to my list. Hard to pull off with current skeleton, but possible with new version. (

Ah the classic "No promises" I see. If they did that I hope they make it an option so that it does not ruin it for people who don't want long tails.

More customisation is something they need to think about with this game now anyway, so I think adding tail length options would be a wise idea.

They aren't going to make it an option. If they aren't going to make subraces that don't require alterations to the skeleton at all (wildhammers, mag'har) they sure as hell aren't going to tinker with the models.
If they make them longer, they make them longer and everyone gets a long tailed one. That's just going to be the way it is. It's not a variable option like horn shape. I mean, hell, I'd like a black pandaren girl with a long tail (or a male one with a long tail!) but they aren't going to do that either. And that -is- a variable option.
Edit: If they do, and you REALLY OMFGWTFBBQ HAAAATE the long tails... you can always set your graphics back to the old models. That's what they'll say.

I still highly doubt they'll make the tails longer.

They also said they're looking at subraces too so I wouldn't start counting it out yet. Will subraces be available at WoD? Probably not.
