Yeah, I'm not really doing games or anything - I just feed, breed and poke around and even that is taking ages. I'll just poke at it later.

Every time a thread about economy concerns rises it gets killed by ppl with their " everything is working just fine"

- and it does NOT work fine..

In my world they should redo the exalt system so it rewarded for genes and breeding cooldown, reward players for not breeding dragons, open up for registration, make more and WAY WAY cheaper lair space..but im not sure they will ever do that.. but its a young game still

The dragon economy won't improve because of open registration for a couple of reasons. Firstly is the fact that the FR admins have stated that they never intended for dragon breeding to even really be a part of the economy (ie it's not there to make you money). Breeding is supposedly intended to be a personal thing.
Secondly, even with open registration only a finite number of people will ever be interested in playing FR and while we *might* see a boost in dragon sales when people first join, it ultimately won't stay that way and the market will only ever become more and more saturated.
Tarn: I actually understand and kind of agree with why they don't have an exalt system set up the way you describe; it would make all starter breed dragons utterly worthless. It would also make all basics totally worthless and thus all dragons would need to be gened up. I think breeding would potentially stop altogether and people would only breed/hatch nests of dragons that are "worthy" of the highest exalt payouts. I do think the exalt system needs more work (a lot more work; it needs to be an attractive option not a last resort), but I don't think doing it based on breed/rarity/genes is a good idea because it makes some dragons way way too good to have around and others obsolete.

I need advice please. I kind of ranted about this before but now am at a loss. I agreed to sell my spell scroll for a payment plan of 100K strict every three days. Twice now I have let a week go by and had to repeatedly message the guy about it. He has multiple other ious out and frankly I feel he is in over his head. Is it okay to pull the deal refund his money and be done with it or should I be patient

What I did in my 1st gen noct situation where the guy stopped paying is I finally sent him a message saying "Hey. It's been this long since your payment and this long since I've last heard from you. I'm going to have to request your next payment by this day before I look for another buyer. Please send me a reply, even if its you saying you no longer want to buy so I can refund you. I will wait until I hear from you for a refund to be send. As much as part of me wants to keep the money for having to wait so long, I am still willing to send you your money, but you must message me."
That way you have the ball in your court.

This isn't a true rant, I just don't know where else to put this.
I dislike when one of my dragons has an Unnamed parent because that shows up on their profile and makes it feel...incomplete somehow, but I feel it would be weird messaging the owner of the parent with something like "Hi, I'm just wondering if you could give X dragon a name if it's not too much trouble?"

... I'm so guilty of that, but it takes me ages to think up names. Sorta like my poor hunters in wow running around with unnamed pets for ages because the perfect one just hadn't hit me (or is freaking reserved. Razzafrazza...)

Why does my wrist have to act up the week of nature's conquest push.
Been leveling as much as I can, but my whole arm has been sore for some reason this past week and a half... especially my wrist. Makes grinding the coli painful.

People have been saying that the mods never intended for dragon breeding to be a part of the economy then why give the option to sell them? Of course it will become part of the economy if you let people sell them!
You just need to look at real life to see that that's what happens when there is demand for things.

I think most people mean to say that the mods never intended dragon breeding to be the -main- part of the economy.

I ... given what a pain the Coli and Fairgrounds can be (hi, flash being redonk laggy or crashing out constantly) ... was that really what they had in mind to be the main way to gain treasure?

But it's a dragon breeding game that lets you sell dragons so of course people will make it a pretty big part. Well that's what I think anyway

Yes. They feel that breeding should mostly be a personal thing and not a way to gain treasure.
