Insert Chill Pill --> HERE <--

Again, no one’s OPINION is better than anyone else’s, but everyone is entitled to theirs just fine.

We also have a lot of different personality types here and we also need to respect that.

I for one many moons ago butted head with Junrei on nearly everything, and it was folly. I'm happy to mention it because now we get along really well, She's tops in my opinion. But that took me being just as courteous to her as she was to me.

Try to keep on topic, and by all means disagree if you do and voice your opinion, but don’t make it personal. It's ugly if you do and it only begets more ugliness and that does not make anyone happy.

Lastly, we are all here because we love WoW, don’t forget we get all crazy and passionate about it because we all share that. Peace and Image ya’ll

Nachtwulf wrote:They aren't going to make it an option. If they aren't going to make subraces that don't require alterations to the skeleton at all (wildhammers, mag'har) they sure as hell aren't going to tinker with the models.

If they make them longer, they make them longer and everyone gets a long tailed one. That's just going to be the way it is. It's not a variable option like horn shape. I mean, hell, I'd like a black pandaren girl with a long tail (or a male one with a long tail!) but they aren't going to do that either. And that -is- a variable option.

Edit: If they do, and you REALLY OMFGWTFBBQ HAAAATE the long tails... you can always set your graphics back to the old models. That's what they'll say.
I believe that there was a post from Daxxarri asking what your top 3 things you would like to see added for Character customization. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/11675667478#10

So it looks like that they want to add more, just a matter of what and when. I have a feeling that sub races will be on the table soon if not 1st, but how soon I’m not sure. Also it’s likely these will only be ones that can follow the new pre-existing models, eg. Wildhammer, Mag'har, Grim Totem. Options that will only require a skin file change. This could also include Tattoo or scars options for other races as well.

I doubt they will add any subraces that require edits to the new Models, eg. Taunka, Broken, Vykrul, as that as it would require editing all the animations and the likes and would be very time consuming compared. (though would be very happy to see it if they did) If they were to add these, I also doubt they would be happy to just use the pre-existing models of these, as some of them will be very out-dated compared to new charter models we are going to get in WOD, and no matter how much some of us would not care.

But things 3d features that can be “tacked’ onto pre-existing models (like the goblins Nose and Ear variations) would also be something I think could also open up sooner rather than later. Things like Beards for Undead, Longer tails for Draenei, maybe even nose and ear options for all races, who… nose : P

As much as I personally agree with Nachtwulf and would love to see longer, more elegant tails put on the new models, I also can't help but feel that they might look a little... awkward? Blizzard are known for having clipping issues left right and centre but as of recently I feel like they've been trying harder to fix these problems, and long tails might come up with a whole bunch of new problems. Not major ones, but I can see these longer, animated tails clipping through long capes, mount saddles, etc. They also might look odd when idle. Maybe if they made them like the Miqo'te tails from XIV...

I dunno. It's something I have to agree with. The artwork *always* shows the females with longer tails and it seems odd that they gave them... stumps, essentially. Plus I just like tails.

*fistbumps* That we are. x3 Took time but we got around our differences and such.

But yeah, it's fun to speculate since Blizz is toying with the idea of some subraces like brown orcs and dark irons.

I've been playing a bit of Aion lately (my husband plays it).
The character customization in that game is crazy detailed.
But in the end, the game itself, the quests, are (to me) dull, dull, dull.

No matter how I customize a character in that game, I only really see the details when in the character loading screen. The rest of the time, I see my toon's backside, from 100 feet away.

But I am dying to know how exactly Blizzard are going to alter B.Elf models.
Almost every one of my toons is B.Elf, so whatever they do WILL have a rather major impact on how I see the game.

We don't have tails to lengthen!
But our women are a bit too scrawny. The men are ok, but honestly, a BIT more facial hair would be nice. And some tattoos would be awesome.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:

I love pets - combat or non.

I kinda have to agree with Nachtwulf here also, long tails for the fem Draenei are something that I have always wanted for them. They could always put in an option that lets you select which tail you want. For those that like the short tail.

Still like these two artworks from the website, especially the fem Draenei armor on the second one.

Didn't they say they were planning on doing more customization a la GW2 eventually, though? Not to say that the subraces wouldn't be easily implemented along with that, ofc. It'd be really nice to be able to choose the facial features and physique of my characters myself, though... Maybe one day.

I'd rather they got the option for their fel tattoos, honestly (though more facial hair options for EVERY race as well as for lady dwarfs would be EXCELLENT). Why are we missing something of significant cultural importance?

Yeah, the belf beards are kind of tiny and most of them look, well... glued on. Like clip-on ties for your face. (One of my cats, Bonnie, has a little 'cow-lick' on the underside of her chin that makes a permanent tuft of fur stick up, so I sometimes call her 'Bonnie Belfbeard' because it's just this ridiculous little triangle).

Nozzie has a great look to him, I'd like to see a little more... like that, really. And yeah, tattoos would be a great thing to add across the board in the barber shop. Because they'd basically be overlays (I'm thinking like accents in FR, sorta), it almost seems to me that if you just did one, and then kind of stretched it to fit, it'd be fine for any race... since the distortion wouldn't be that huge, especially if the initial version were designed for the larger races. If they look okay large, they'd be fine shrunk. I dunno, though. I've wanted tats for humans since Wrath, and being jealous of the vrykul.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

In WMV there is a "shirt" that is a tattoo, I think it was called War Paint or something. Easily fits on any race/gender (though on females it looks odd because it overlaps the bras unless you uncheck show underwear). It seems like they would be easy enough to implement, though most of the time I feel like they wouldn't be visible unless you walked around shirtless all the time.
