There's the coke commercial. You'll see why I pointed out this wasn't even the US national anthem to begin with real quick. XD

ah thank you, I will take a peak and see what all the fuss is about. Pretty but yep not the Anthem *sigh* on ignorance. Of course I think everyone on the internet by now should know its often the biggest mouths with the least brains that wind up making the "news" and the most ruckus lol

This was pretty much my thought. America is a nation (and even south america) of immigration much like Australia and New Zealand. Yet I don't think I saw a Native American Indian in that ad at all..
There was a Qantas ad in 2008 i think that had an Aboriginal boy singing "I still call Australia Home" in an indigenous language and then some children of all nationalities singing in english along with him. It just made me think if anyone had slammed that, there would be such an outcry but no one seems to care what these ignorant ppl on twitter think of this coke ad 0.o

My only problem at all with that ad ..well first it was an ad lol, was it was incredibly narrow in it's representation. If you are trying to show the true diversity be more inclusive or not at all. Anyone care to take a guess at how many languages are spoken in the US alone not to mention our Northern and southern cousins? Try..without google just curious how close people get.

Well I don't think you could have every language in one ad.

That was the person I was talking about before! The other person who was complaining that their "suicide attempt" did not get as much attention as him was a Brony too. Uh Pinkiepony? It was something pink. The one that got that pony pron ask blog taken down.

Nah I know that but it could have been slightly more inclusive that's all

Poor little boy

I remember being teased in yr 8 (i was 12) for liking The Lion King (yeah i know really?) cause I had a diary with simba on it. I had support from my bestie but I never bought the diary to school again. Then on the flip side I drew Huckle the cat on my file one year (from Richard Scary's Busy World if anyone remembers that) and i had girls go "omg i love huckle!" a show thats for a even younger target audience so go figure! (I drew it thinking no one could possibly know who Huckle was haha!). Hes a little kid who likes a little kids cartoon - god kids are fucking mean these days.

Someone was complaining about....omg. -_-; Suicide is not a way to get attention! It's a cry for help! Most people who attempt suicide have an underlying problem and DONT want the attention. They just feel there's no way out.
@Castile Yeah kids are just goddamn cruel these days but then again I was a subject of bullying too. For various things such as being a big girl, wearing a tye dye TShirt from the Turtles concert, wearing comfy shoes my grandmother used to wear cause I couldn't afford $100 sneakers. I had the popular kids break my heart by tricking me into thinking some boy liked me when he hated my guts. I had some redneck(I'd not use this word if they weren't the exact definition) kids in high school damn me and tell me I'm going to hell just because I was pagan. So yeah, I know how that kid feels. Kids are downright nasty.

I got bullied constantly as a kid, largely for being a) fat (looking back at the photos, I was actually fairly thin but I have a stocky Germanic frame so 'big' = 'fat'... plus kids are fatter today than 35 years ago so I suppose the parameters were different), b) wearing glasses, and c) being smarter than they were and thus a 'nerd' which wasn't at all positive back in the day.
I dealt with it largely by learning to draw, reading prolifically, and basically shutting out all social contact aside from family and pets. If I never talked to them, they wouldn't hurt my feelings or upset me by being stupid in my direction, after all. And anyway, the people in my books were better. @_@
Of course these days they call that asperger's/autism/sociopathy (or some combination of the three).
Also... I use tumblr for cat photos, funny videos, and peoples' RP blogs. I actually unfollowed someone recently that was a Social Justice Crusader because I got really tired of post after post after post (usually 5+ a day) condemning anyone with a mid-to-northern European background for being racist Satanspawn out to Crush The Indigenous Man With Every Word and Deed. (I hate to tell you guys but I'm indigenous. I was born here. That's what the word means, you know.)
She promptly threw a giant hissy, dismissed many years of ostensible friendship immediately, and called me a racist before kicking me out of her guild. Yep.

Eeeesh, that's the kind of person that gives Tumblr such a bad face. It's really unfortunate that Tumblr is constructed in such a way that Mob Mentality is so, so, so common and strong. It makes people start saying and doing awful, shitty things because well, SOMEONE will reblog it with a "THIS". Which is a shame, because I read a lot of really fantastic stuff on Tumblr. There are some really well informed, clear-thinking people who write about feminism, LGBTQA+ rights, racism, etc. in ways that are informative and interesting, but aren't riddled with hate- but they often get lumped in with the bad and are devalued.
That said, I've started to just let it go- I used to reblog plenty of frustrating posts about injustices and rage, but it occurred to me that I never actually liked seeing those because they made me stressed out and upset- and why the heck am I on a fun blogging site if it's not fun? So besides a few information-based things, I generally just stick to fun things now. It's a lot better for me.
My rant- all my finger tips on my right hand are bloody and hurt when I bend them. I really, REALLY need to stop biting the skin off of them because this is seriously painful.

Lupis -
I don't suppose I need to tell you that's stress-related displacement behavior. XD You can try yoga or something, or there's the old go-to of putting something icky tasting on your fingers so when you go to bite your cuticles, it's nasty.

Oh don't worry, I know what it is, heh. It's something I've struggled with on and off since middle school. It's what caused me to have a somewhat signature habit of wearing slim black gloves to school every day- if I was wearing my gloves, I couldn't bite my fingers. But typing is super hard with my gloves on.
I should definitely try yoga at some point, I keep meaning to. The icky stuff never works alas, as I'm really, really itchy about having anything on my hands. Even hand lotion bugs me.

This is pretty much how im starting to deal with alot of extremists views on facebook (i'm sure its 100% worse of tumblr and reddit etc). I don't like to defriend ppl who have a different view but i have unfollowed certain ppl I know will post things that will either get my jimmies up due to the fact I've done research and formed my own opinion on things or just upset me like those animal rights pictures that are designed to shock you into their cause. Still this doesn't stop them posting comments or writing rude things on the stories I share :
- eg. I ended up deleting one due to Mr Awesome Vegan calling me a closed minded person because I said a news story about PETA telling Prisons to stop feeding meat to prisoners would not end very well. He told me without any evidence that a prison in America had done this and ppl were less violent and didnt reoffend. Forgive me if I dont take your word as gospel. In the end I really dont want to argue with him as he has his view (which is quiet set) and I can respect that but it upset me to be called closed minded cause I didnt agree.
I really hate being upset by stupid comments like that. I shouldn't be and should just ignore them but it does. My fiance said he was just a troll and knew his comments would upset me so i should just defriend him...I dunno might just start putting certain ppl on the restricted list.

Humans, by nature, think in bubbles. 'Inside my bubble are people like me and people that feel as I do. Outside my bubble is THE ENEMY.'
It's hardcoded in, a behavior structure that, to be honest, is responsible for our survival and expansion over the surface of the planet. The problem is, it used to be that you had to bounce off people that weren't bubble-folk all the time, and you had to deal with them diplomatically to avoid war (or, at least, a broken nose and your hut set on fire).
Now, with the internet, it's much easier to refuse to deal with people who believe differently because you can just tag them as 'close-minded' or 'racist' or a bunch of other terms and dismiss everything they say as unimportant without any personal repercussion.

I TRY my best to ignore those posts I really do but when friends that I follow keep on reblogging them it gets to me. Because if I read them I tend to end up hating myself for being cis
I do laugh at the ones that are "cis people will hate this Pokemon because it's the colour of the trans flag" tho
For your fingers have you tried putting something that tastes bad on them? I know you can get stuff you put on nails to stop kids from biting them that could help. Or it could make it worse I dunno. Habits die hard I do know that! To bad you can't cut your hands off like your hair XD
I've been cutting out stickers today and because of my screwed up double jointed thumbs the scissors have made giant blisters on my thumb and middle finger and I had only been cutting for like an hour tops :/ Stupid not normal thumbs. It's like being a mutant but not the cool kind with super powers the bad kind that's useless.

I dislike the interface for the poketransfer and pokebank. I'm have to swap game carts EVERY. FUCKING. BOX.
Why was it not an option to move all the mons on a gen 5 game at the same time, instead of this one box, swap games, transfer, swap games, one box, ect mess?!

This probably going to sound selfish but a girl I work with has copied what I'm going to do on my honeymoon and it pisses me off! I have always said we'd go to Japan for our honeymoon...we both LOVE anime and all things japanese and we held off on holidays over the past 10 yrs cause we thought it would be more special as a honeymoon...and she's basically told me "dont be mad but..." ....Well I can't exactly ban you from going there can I? Nor can I get mad to your face as that would seem uber petty...but I was a little dissapointed that you rattled off ALL the things I told you we would do

*sigh*
