Rant: what is it with people who promise they'll get some information to you by X, then don't manage it by Y or even Z?! If you can't do it, just say so up front so I can plan accordingly!

As much as I do not understand the hype around that man, I did hear about him acting out Smaug and I would love to see it. Is there a video yet?

I actually commented on it in the cinema at the time and I thought they made him like that cause he probably wouldn't be able to move in the cavern the way he did if he was a fat normal looking dragon lol

I liked what they did with Smaug's animations. He was very sinuous and agile. Though I was disappointed he didn't look more like Tolkien's drawings, in which he was bright red and gold. Tolkien's image was thin and sinuous too, much like the older English ideas of dragons as serpent-like, so I loved how they kept that.

Time it takes my brother to ruin the night in an irrational temper tantrum that he has to share with the whole house: about ten seconds.
And yet, when I tell him I really really want to move out, he doesn't understand.

Have a chance to get a sphynx (hairless cat) for half of what they usually go for... (and she's -adorbs-, a beautiful pale orange and white). (well, okay, she's mostly pink with freckles, but dammit, so am I.)
But if I take advantage of it, a) I have to come up with what's still an awful lot of money and b) it will take me to 7 cats which I said I wasn't going to do....
But I've always wanted one, qq baww. Like my whole life.
Dis is her.

You know...if you ask for people to make an icon for your group(s) and only one person posts a design...at least have the courtesy of acknowledging them before closing the request and tossing up one of your own icons... That's twice now I've been the only one to at least make -something- and twice there hasn't even been any acknowledgement... even something like "thank you for the submission, but its not what I was looking for"
Makes me a bit sad...

People who ask questions on forum threads (not this forum!) when it would've taken an extra two seconds of their time to Google the damned answer. I'm so glad that 'Let Me Google That For You' thing exists, it allows me to be so snarky without even trying.

I hate it when you feel like you're going to vomit...but you don't...
We got 2 feet of snow and I had to hike a mile up the mountain we live on while the snow was accumulating while wearing improper attire (I had just got off work...)
I've been stuck in a house with my sickly mother for 2 days.
It probably didn't help that I played in the snow (though, it was AWESOME!!)
Now I feel like I'm dying... T.T

Sorry to anyone who liked the film Frozen but I need to get this off my chest. Remember it's just my opinion.
And if you haven't seen it yet this post may contain spoilers.
It wasn't that great. In fact, I didn't think it was great at all. I thought it was 'good' at best. Not a Disney film I'd rush back to see. And now everyone on the internet is treating it like it's god's gift to man and as if it was the best Disney film ever created. Yes, the 'plot twist' (which everyone saw coming) was pretty nice, about the sister's love and not being with some man. It was a nice change. That and the soundtrack were it's redeeming qualities. Otherwise, I found the story slow and boring, the reindeer-dog got on my nerves because it's such an overused thing now, to make the horse-like character dog-like for... whatever reason they do that for, I hated the snowman with an irritating passion, and, for the love of god, it was NOT the first Disney film to portray a strong independent female lead!!! The internet SCREAMS about this! It's like everyone's suddenly forgotten that Brave happened and Mulan?! MULAN, GUYS, MULAN?!
Another thing. Anna was just Rapunzel. She even *looked* pretty much like her. Her personality was almost copy and paste, except I found Rapunzel to be much more relate-able and likeable. Anna to me was just 'some girl' out looking for her much-more-awesome sister. Let's face it, Anna's a boring Tangled rip-off because the focus is CLEARLY about how AWESOME Elsa is. She has ice magic, that's fucking awesome. She also got the best song in the entire film.
The joke about getting married quickly was funny, since it goes against most of Disney's usual stories where the female lead often enough ends up married in days or there and then, but the joke. kept. recurring. Over and over to the point where I'm sick of hearing about it.
There's things I could nitpick about in almost every Disney film (with my except perfect few) but this one desired to be screamed about somewhere because I'm really tired of people jumping on the bandwagon with 'omg it's the best film ever'. Yes, it was pretty good for a Disney film, but the only likeable character was Elsa, the jokes weren't funny and the story was far too slow paced. I would recommend that everyone watch it at some point, I'd give it a 5/10 at least for trying, but of course all the hype about it has left me quite sour about it too. I've watched films with a lot of hype before that I adored, Rise of the Guardians was similar in that the internet took it and made it their everything but that film is one of my all time favourites.
Which reminds me, the pairing between Elsa and Jack Frost that everyone's screaming about? Yeah, it makes no sense. Not to mention the only reason everyone's doing it is because it's two 'ice' characters from recent animated films. This is why I hate pairings. Let the film creators decide who they should be with, thanks very much. I think 80% of the reason Elsa even exists as a character is to prove that she doesn't need a man anyway?!
If anyone's thinking about responding to this with a defensive comment about it, don't bother. This is all just my opinion that I needed to rant about and I'm sick of everyone running up to defend things on this thread. I'm not personally attacking anyone here so please don't bother to argue.

ngl Snowy, I more like Elsa and Jack as a friendship than a romantic ship mostly because I enjoy the mental image of them just going all-out war and pelting each other with snowballs but that's just me lmao

I, personally, loved the movie. Was it the best? No. That's why I can understand where you're coming from. While the Frozen hype doesn't annoy me as much, these random hypes keep coming up. I have yet to figure out why the Twilight series got so popular :/ I read the books in middle school and they were good (back then. I wouldn't reread them) but they weren't near as good as everyone made them out to be :/ not even close. It was a good series for middle school girls to read and that's it. I could go on about other hypes, but...yeah...
It's funny cuz most of the aspects of Frozen that got under your skin, I loved about it XD (except for the strong female character thing. She's not the only one, and not the best one either imo :/) but, as you said, it's a matter of opinion

Honestly nothing about the film itself got under my skin. There were just bits that bothered me. And then when the fandom explodes and claims this film is perfect, those things stood out more to me. I did enjoy the fact that it was 'different' from other Disney films but the hype feels so forced sometimes.

Man the amount of knock offs on Ebay is kind of sad. :/ Never buy a Nendoroid or a Figma from there or at least buy at your own risk. Some sellers even use photos of the real ones for their knock offs!
