I find the tameable heavenly cloud serpents, such as Tsulong, very interesting. He is undeniably sentient and intelligent. I know its day one of this pass so I am cautious to read too much into it, but it seems to signal to a leniency toward taming intelligent beasts being more on the table. If so, maybe this change could indicate offshoot NPCS that have previously untameable "intelligent" models being open to discussion in a way that makes sense. The Pandaria gods are a great example. We should never be able to tame them directly, but "offshoot NPC" that share models/colors (whether existing NPC or new ones added) could be plausible now.

I've personally always been in favor of some intelligent beings being tameable since I see taming as more of a consensual partnership and not forced enslavement. However if this is where the idea ends, its very exciting either way!

Also OMG UNDEAD BEASTS YAY

Thanks for all those doing the legwork on the beta to bring us this information! Poor Wain is gonna be a busy dude!

Shame the model changed. I would've wanted a cute little frog. They did that silliness with the little raptors on the Thundering Isle, turning them into the anorexic little saurids instead of staying the way they originally were.

The Golden Serpent is tamable, but cannot due to level. Once you level a bit it can be tamed.

Though already confirmed as tamable in the DB, here is a tamed Alpaca.

I disagree on the possiblity of more sentient creatures being tamable. What has been made tamable I see as being more of an exception rather than the norm. Besides that, not every sentient creature would be friendly toward us and accept working alongside us as a consensual partnership. The Tsulong that we tame is against us and trying to kill us. He is corrupted by the Sha. He isn't choosing to work with us, so the only way it would make sense is if he is forced to serve.

If the MoP toads can be tameable, I feel like the small BfA toads should be tameable too.

That and of course all the colors of the big BfA toads. They have so much personality.

Thanks for checking. I'm sure that like with Anzu, that still means there could be shenanigans where it's labeled tameable but it isn't practically tameable. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, I guess.

Any word on Grubs? Wowhead has the 2 glitch ones from previous patches marked as tameable again. Can anyone get into Tot to check out the pythons there?

The two grubs in question:

https://www.wowhead.com/npc=63865/amber-parasite
Though, they show tameable on live too. Could be Wowhead being dumb again.

I haven't gone to ToT yet, but the ones on the Timeless Isle are still untamable.

WoWhead currently only indicates that the classic pythons are tameable. Hopefully that is an oversight. Surely, if the 15 year old pythons can be tameable, the MoP ones can be, too.

Those are the old grubs that were tameable in.. 5.1 I think? Then were made untameable in 5.2 and haven't been tameable since.

Ah, guess I misread your post. The death blow I received about no tameable mandragoras hurt my ability to read.
