Well ok then. I've never even seen it rain yet.
Thanks for the heads up though!

Woooo I got my Skrelp! Now to level it up and use it to take on the second gym! ...Or more likely, level it up, then use my Quilladin to plow through everything. Again.

Just about every route has a chance to rain naturally...and I think Zapdos makes it rain when he appears...but Zppy only appears to Fennekin players.

For those that like fossil Pokemon:
If you return to Glittering Cave after defeating the E4...you can get the fossils from 1st-5th gen via Rock Smash...BUT
Only Y players can get the First gen fossils. X players get the Third gen ones. The rest are fair game for both.
This excludes Aerodactyl who is available pre-E4

I still need to beat Black 2 before I'll let myself play X.

I really need to pick up the pace because it's driving me crazy that it's sitting there un-opened.

You have stronger willpower than I!
I haven't finished Black 2 either, but I dropped it like a hot rock as soon as Y came out. >.>;

Wooo, just beat the second gym! So, team update time.
Nathen, Chesnaught, level 36
Cindy, Talonflame, level 35
Vallory, Skrelp, level 29
Ashbringer, Honedge, level 28
Lillian, Tyrunt, level 24
As you can see, the majority of my team is in need of a bit of leveling yet. >.> Darn this area and its lack of pokemon I can easily farm!
On the plus side, though, I just need Dedenne and my team will be complete!

Okay, maybe I'm slow or something, but how do you get Aerodactyl? One of my friends told me to make sure I Rock Smash all the rocks nearby to the Glittering Cave/inside the cave but I've yet to find any Old Amber and I smash everything I see. I have the mega stone for it, but I can't find Old Amber. Or is it rare?

I have found the old amber using rock smash in the cave, so I guess just keep trying. Good luck. I don't know how rare it is and the one I got was male so I can't really breed him till I get a ditto.
In other news. A friend got their copy of x to work online so we have spent the night using my second game (also x) to get the rest of the starters.You can get multiple torchics by resetting too XD

The time it takes to progress coupled with the way EXP share now works is upsetting me. As much as I love EXP for all, it is making my Pokemon overpowered. Are the gyms scaling at all? or do you arrive at the second gym with a bunch of 30s and the gym leader has 20s? because that would suck. It would take away the challenge. I had to restart so...I just got past the first gym again
Also, I decided I NEEDED Litleo on my team...OMG I HATE THEM NOW. Took me HOURS to find a male one with a non-detrimental nature! and when I finally got one that was acceptable it's nature STILL SUCKED! Oh well, at least I finally got an acceptable one I guess. Why did the males have to be harder to find T.T

I think they scale fairly well. The second gym leader has two level 25's. He uses hyper potions on them too so I wouldn't worry about it not being a challenge. This is especially true if you're like me and have mostly fire types going into a ground gym.

Huh, I didn't think about that, I'll have to have a look. Then again, I never played any of the Gen IV games. ^^;
Quoting this again plus my post to confirm that Falconcrest was right. (: I didn't notice before, but the man faces away from the road when there's nothing for you and then towards the road when there's an egg available. I would prefer if he just shouted you over but a subtle hint is better than none at all.

Hokay. I need to train up a bit before the Elite Four. I'm considering using my Yveltal, but at the same time I want to use my Noivern. I only really have one slot on my term that's not permanent. Yveltal in Pokemon Amie is hilarious by the way. XD He loves me now to the point he keeps peeking in the side of the screen.

Jurz, unless you're like me and obsessively over-level everything because challenge is scary, then it scales quite well- the second gym is pretty high level due to the long, long delay between gyms one and two. I just like to try and catch every pokemon I can find on every route and then I take a little while to farm obsessively, so my teams always end up over-leveled for the first few gyms.
And arrrgh, Yveltal is what puts a kink in my team plans. xD I adore Yveltal way too much to not have him on my team, but I'd need to replace one of my 'mons to do so, which would be a sad. (Though hmm I also want the Z legend so I'd have to replace my tyrunt and OH I DON'T KNOW.)

Its relatively uncommon...just smash everything...leave to the previous room..return and repeat till you get it.

I don't over level because I love a good challenge but I do catch every Pokemon I can find and I tend to level up rather quickly due to that topped with the EXP for all thing
