I, personally, like the idea of taking the Madexx skin OFF the Venomscale Spitter, or changing the color of the Venomscale Spitter to one that isn't used on Madexx. (Make it orange or something? Or have a unique pattern?)

I also had an idea that they could add an effect to Madexx to make him slightly different that the VSS's, even ones to correspond to his colors (As his colors correspond to the five Dragonflights.) Mostly because I'd love to see Green Madexx make flowers around his feet. Or something of that effect.

I, personally, have Blue Madexx. I love Blue Madexx. I would LOVE any of the other colors, even Bronze. I'm actually hoping to get Bronze. Someday.

I have always thought that Madexx should have a set rotation for his colors or a shorter timer. In my opinion, the idea of a special rare mob having different color options is not bad, but the fact of them being random with such a long respawn timer is absurd.

I did like Teevo, albeit I was luckier than him. I found the color I wanted only after 5 days of semi-hardcore camping. I logged in every time 6 hours after each tame (luckily I was able to rehome every double I found), and then just started camping. I did a 4h camp and one that was 9h long. Most were all over 6h anyway. Only after 4 days I started to believe the minimum timer was actually 10h and more likely to respawn near 14-15h. In the end I put roughly 40 hours into this camp, and I was lucky. I know some people spent more time than me over weeks. Still it's unhealthy to camp that much.

Right now you need free time (or friends that will camp for you) and some careful planning. You're probably going to mess up your sleep schedule too. I myself did not sleep much.
However think about his name. Think about the crazy timer, the randomness of the colors, the heavily trafficated area. Madexx is an insane camp, and they did it on purpose. I think it needs to be adjusted, but should keep some of the difficulty. Shortening the timer and giving him a set rotation might be too much.

I'd be happier with shortening the timer to 6 hrs with the random color spawn, truthfully.

Knowing he will spawn within the next 6 hours is a lot better than guessing when he might show up sometime in the next 1-24 hours.

But sadly, we will never know if this thread will even be seen by Noah or not, and if it is he might think that we are the minority in the debate.

It's sad really. Things get changed all the time that don't need to be changed while other things that would help out a lot of people don't get changed for 2+ years. Then there are things that get changed back to their original state even though people stop complaining about them...

Neh, I was ecstatic with a Madexx like model becoming a common tame. Without trying to degrade the pet it seemed as if the Bronze skin was the least sought after skin, so it makes the most sense to me as to why it became a common tame. Take it from someone who would love any color but Bronze though. I'd rather see green or red pop up as a common skin. I hate having to spend a ludicrous amount of time hovering over a zone to find my ideal pet.

You're all right though. It would have been best for them to have just taken a completely new color and made it a common tame.

As for lowering the spawn timer for rares? Yes, please. Jesus, a couple of hours is fine. I'll spend a couple of hours questing or dungeon running or whatever in game, but 12-24 hours? It's insane! We get that rares are supposed to be something worth waiting or fighting over but there's a line! D:

If you don't want to comment on the matter at hand then don't post in the thread. I could easily go from one thread to another of posters who post about the same "things" (some are not Madexx related, but have to deal with certain pets or even certain color of pets) and complain about how I am always seeing them talk about the same thing over and over, but it wouldn't get me anywhere and it would make me look like a fool.

I think I have hit on why threads like mine should be seen by Noah and either dismissed by him or looked into, so some random poster posting about me (or anyone else) talking about the same things over and over should probably just be ignored.

So I hate to ask but are you bumping this thread with regular posting just so it stays on top in the hopes that Noah will see your plight and do something about it??? Because by you own statements above that's what it appears as though you're saying. At least to me that's how it appears.
In my opinion, yes, this thread is STILL beating a dead horse and it's being kept going for seemingly no reason when the points to the thread have been made over and over again on 4 pages.

Point: You don't like Madexx's long spawn timer and random color spawn because you haven't been able to tame a green so you want that fixed to make things a wee bit easier for you (an others I guess).

Not trying to be rude but redundant thread is redundant.

And we're allowed to keep voicing our opinions as much as we'd like. The mods have not locked it so they must see some value and point to this thread. Just because you don't find a problem with it doesnt mean the tons of others that do have a problem with it should get blown off and practically told "lol QQ moar".

It seems to me that it is being bumped more by other people.

If you don't like seeing it bumped back to the top then quit posting on it.

And seriously, I think we all know how you feel about it and I assure you that the majority of the people who wants something done doesn't need you to keep posting telling us that it doesn't need to be "fixed".

Oh... I also noticed that you keep bringing up that I am on this plight for my own self gratification (even though you did include "an others I guess" in your post within parentheses), and I have told you and many others that this thread is NOT solely about me. I have said why I am doing this enough in the thread so I won't repeat myself.

We get that you think it doesn't need to be changed. I don't see why Rak'shiri needed to be reverted back, but you don't see me going into a thread about it and causing an uproar.

It's easy to say 'quit complaining' when you're lucky and get the Madexx you want early. Not so much when you spend days, weeks, months on it. :/ I know people who've spent years after a pet (Myself among them). And *I* sure as Heck think this 5-24+ hour business is for the birds. It took me about 3 weeks of pretty solid camping, many sleepless nights to get my scorpies. And they were remarkably stressful because I learned that I could miss a spawn in the spawn of 10 seconds (As evidenced by a BE taming while I was at a nearby spot and never knew. :/).

And once again...brown spawned...4th time in a row.

I fell in love with this darn scorpid and yes, I camped it to an unhealthy degree. After about two months of camping I finally got all five colors (yes even brown...I love my CocoaPuff!!) and was relieved to be out of that darn place. I've been there, done that, will have to do it on my next hunter, LOL. I've read every post I could find about Madexx, and I totally agree with Pent and the others who have posted for a change to the spawn time. At one point in my camping I actually spent 24 hours circling the sands (hence the unhealthy degree). That was after a known spawn. Next spawn was 5 and a half hours. Spawn after that, 14. And after that? Nearest I could figure 26 hours. I had friends watching while I took a much needed rest. Yes, spawns could have been missed (and almost certainly were), but it got me thinking. If I had devoted such an extended period of time and found random spawn timer to be SO incredibly random, how could anyone who only had a few hours after work, etc, ever hope to nail down a possible timer? So in my opinion there really is no perfect way to fix the situation, but a shorter spawn time would certainly help anyone out there searching. Shoot, at least make it a fairly consistant time. It's easy to assume those of us who want a change are just QQing. There's too many people, too many posts asking for change, saying it's just not quite right or could be tweaked for the benefit of all players, for this to be brushed aside as just whining. Whether any in game change is ever made, who knows? But I've definitely enjoyed reading some of the very intelligent conversations here debating the subject:)

Rex was just trying to politely mention that consistantly seeing Madexx topics up top regarding the same things taking over this board. Thats all. You don't have to write a big TL;DR to defend yourself each time someone says something about the redundancy of Madexx Threads.

Thats not necessarily true. There are plenty of threads i've started that serve no point, but generally if its not causing any harm then the likelihood that it will get locked is very low.

Madexx threads are getting incredibly redundant. Even with Pent, I think he's created abotu 6-7 threads solely on Maddexx alone. I don't think its anything that is going to result in a "locked thread" simply because its discussion and a "sharing of ideas"... right? I guess though if you post something against your views or Pents in a thread about Madexx... then its blasphemy??? I guess then Madexx threads are only available for people to post on them if they agree fully with Jessibelle or Pent then right?

I'm going to back my girl Zedxrgal here and defend her statement that this is getting redundant about all this, cause it has.

So I don't have the right to counter someone who sees it differently, but others can come on the thread and repeatedly type things that say their opinion after someone posts something they don't agree with?

And really... I did state that this wasn't about me and my search many many times, and yet when "Zed" posts here she always said "you" which to mean she is subconsciously (uh huh) saying it IS about me.

Do I need to post the PM Zed sent me? I was nice about it and didn't respond, but I assure you that an admin saw it.

Regarding my Madexx threads... I have two. This one and my timer one, all of the other ones are far gone... and some of those were not even started by me.

As I said earlier, I am not the one bumping this thread the most, but I am not going to stand idly by and let someone talk about what I think needs to be fixed... over and over. We get it redundant thread is redundant, but so are redundant posts.

I am keeping this very civilized, so if this post gets locked it won't be because of me going nuts over something someone says.

This is my thread. I asked for people to share their opinions which included the negative ones. I also said to please keep it civilized.

It's also not my fault that the respawn timer poll isn't going the way people expected it to go when they posted it.
