Believe it or not, I only have one hybrid that I play a lot. The other two? Just a Delta Species and a Dusk evolution. Sol was a Dusk evolution too, you know.

I know you guys may be fine just trying things differently.. But sorry, I'd rather stick with the three characters I know the best. Sorry that they're horrible creations that must not exist due to being "OH SO SPESHUL", but really, they're just as sucky characters as the non-special ones. Ghost isn't much stronger than any other Umbreon you'd fine walking around, Rust can hardly fight, and Phantom, well, he's a moron to be perfectly honest. He can fight pretty well, but hardly much better than he did when he was a normal Flareon. These characters, despite their label of "SPECIAL" are hardly that. There's just characters. My main three characters. And I don't think it's fair for this to happen. Sure, I could use just Ghost.. But I'd miss the other two.. Same thing would happen if I used one of the other two.. I'd miss Ghost and which ever one I didn't use..

Sol's also not coming back in this RP, because Solara is dead. There is no more Solara. She's gone. There's only Aralos, and I'm not sure if I want to use her.

Besides, I thought you wanted to take a break from Ghost and try something different?

Oh, what, over a month ago? I haven't RP'ed Ghost at all in the last two months. I want my friggen Umbreon back! *Clings to Ghost*

And here's the thing.. I don't think it's fair for some of these "special" characters to get pushed out of the RP. Some of them are hardly special. All Ghost can do is fade, which she hardly ever does in battle anyway, and besides that.. She's not much stronger than any other Umbreon. Rust can't do a thing besides fade (Which he's horrible at) and bite (Which ALL four-legged baby Pokemon can do!). And Phantom.. Like I said before, he's not much stronger than he was as a Flareon. So, really, they're not really special. Their labels may say they are, but if you actually take a look at them.. They're not. They'd be pretty much the EXACT same characters if they weren't whatever species that labels them as special.

I can understand not wanting more than one amazingly strong and super amazing Delta Species per person.. But is it really fair for people who have Delta Species that aren't super amazing? Or hybrids that aren't super amazing? I don't think just a label should lop all Pokemon like this together and cause the majority of them to get booted out. It depends on the specific character, whether they're too overpowered or not. There's been a good bunch of characters that aren't anything special that have been stronger than the special ones anyway.

Senna, the rules have been agreed on, arguing isn't going to get you anywhere. Just calm down and think about it: The problem isn't with characters being OMGAWESOMESUPERPOWERFUL, it's with there being too many of these special characters. If everyone is special, they're not really all that special,right? As it's been said, you're allowed to have two of them. Pick. If you feel that you absolutely NEED to have all of them, you can rewrite their stories a bit and turn one of them normal. Bam, problem solved.

The problem wasn't how overpowered they were, it was the fact alone they were special.

You could have an absolutely, totally amazingly pathetic hybrid, (magikarp and...uh...abra hybrid.) but because it is a hybrid, it is still way more special than a run of the mill charmander. It just wasn't -fun- for me to RP a character who was surrounded by characters who, even if they didn't have too many special abilities, were still infinitely more special.

Frankly, though...We've made a compromise. We've tried to make people happy. If you can't meet us halfway, then fine.

Well, like Sat said.. If all of them are special, then none of them are. Sounds good to me. There has been a lot of special characters, so.. They're not special anymore. So I don't see the big fuss over it. Besides, I don't see how being a Delta Species/Hybrid makes something immediately special. It's the character that matters, in my opinion.. Not what the character is, but the character itself. I don't think the bunches of hybrids and such should matter. Most of the hybrid characters weren't even main characters anyway, so there's a good chance they wouldn't have been used anyway. I'm one of the only ones who had a hybrid as a main character. Most of the special ones in general weren't main characters. It shouldn't really be a problem.

Also, rules can be re-done. Even if the rule has been agreed on.. It's kind of dumb to agree on a rule when not everyone is present.

Senna, just face it. Pick among them or don't participate.

Already done. I already decided I wouldn't be in this RP. I actually said that earlier.

Then I don't see the point in coming back here to keep badmouthing our discussion.

You know Senna, I adore you as a person. I Love Rping with you and Ghost is one of the characters that can tug at my heartstrings when something happens to her.

That being said..I really do have to agree with not having a bunch of special pokemon in. I mean, I have Nine Absol/Deoxys hybrids and I picked one. Ciro. I picked Ciro because, along with being the oldest, he's a character I really want to expand on. Delora is a Dusk Evo now, so she's on par with the other evolutions not to mention she's my main character.

I have other character that I would Love to use (Ledora, Theia and Ketsin, heck even Kyuu and Remi!) but I had to decide on which I'm going to have to keep out. As much as I hate to admit it..I like having these rules. It gives my other pokemon time to shine! I mean my new characters are going to be a blast! (I'm also giving myself a Personal limit of five characters, but that's just me.)

I'd love for you to be in this RP Senna, I really would. But it comes down to a person choice for you. I'll miss ya though ~<3

And please, please don't take this on an attack to you okay? It really isn't. Trying to keep track of ALL of the special hybrids, and that even includes my own sometimes, was hard. Having one each just makes it easier when it comes to remembering who can do what.

In VotS, most of the characters were hybrids or deltas of some sort. It just gets to the point where you have to stop and ask "When did this stop being pokemon and start being about creatures that resemble pokemon?"
Yes, you can argue in favour of creative free will and characterisation, but isn't the point here to play as pokemon? To craft stories around this series? It was getting to the point where we could just make up our own creatures and use those. Hell, we almost did.

And you know? There's nothing wrong with starting afresh with a completely new set of characters. I believe a few of us already plan to. I know I am. Why not give someone new a change, who knows, maybe you'll grow to love playign them as much as you do Ghost or Rust.
Yes, rules can be changed, but the majority agree with them. I consider you a friend Senna, but to shift an entire set of rules just to cater to one person?

Badmouthing? I'm stating my opinion. I WANT to be in the RP.. I've been wanting a new PokeRP for months now.. But... I just can't go through with it if I can't use my main characters. I just can't. Some of you may be able to just move on and make new characters.. But I can't. I have to stick with the characters I'm familiar with, and love.. I can't just throw one or all of them out the window and make new characters I probably won't even like just because some stupid rule says I can't use my characters.


Then you guys really should have waited until everyone was around before settling on such an important rule. Maybe if you guys had waited until everyone was around to put their input on it.. This whole stupid thing might not have happened.


Also.. I'm exactly saying to kill the rule ENTIRELY.. But at least make it a bit more forgiving? To at least allow more than one of these types of characters? Only one seems really really harsh to me. But then again.. Apparently I'm the whiny little brat who disagrees with everyone, so why should my opinion even matter?

Nobody is saying that, the problem is just that you're the only one disagreeing. We all agreed to the rules, as Moonlost said, we can't just go changing that for you.

Listen. Senna. Magna, as leader of this RP, can set whatever rules he likes. If there is massive disagreement, then people speak up, and if I think it is causing serious disagreement, it is my job to talk to him about it. That isn't the case. Magna set the rule, and everyone agrees but you. It is a compromise so people aren't forced to give up their special characters. Moon said exactly what I was thinking. It wasn't Pokemon, it was "Special Hybrid/Delta/Mon."

So I'm requesting folks take a step back and chill. Perhaps instead of seeing it as we're restricting you, look at it in our perspective.

Righty then, thanks to a certain friend of mine who has been bent on getting me to join the RP.. *Gives Magna a mock-glare*

What am I doing character-wise, might you ask? Well, apparently, during my freak out, I totally forgot that I actually had other characters that I enjoy RP'ing. Anyone remember my Unova Pokemon? You know, Lyell the Samurott.. Stormie the Mienshao.. Yadda yadda yadda? Well, despite the fact that story-wise, for me, I've cut out when Lyell, Stormie, Hannibal and Maya were in RotS, due to timeline problems for the little story I have going in my head... I've decided that I'll bring them back for this. Along with another character of mine from RotS. Well, kinda. More like a "lol I'm just gonna fiddle around with these Legendaries cause I like 'em!". For those who remember.. I did use four Unova Legendaries as characters towards the end of RotS. One of them ended up being a member of my team in Black.. So.. Of course, the most amazing Legendary in existence.. Terrakion shall be returning as one of my characters XD Not entirely surprising, if you think about it.


Just to note.. I'm kind of weary about joining, at this point.. So.. The second things start going south in some way or form.. I'll be skedaddling faster than Ghost can get angry. (And all of you know how fast that is.)

And I'm still not happy about the whole thing with this rule.. But I'll be trying my best to not freak out over it.. *Hugs Ghost and Rust*

since Cherrie is your average Purrloin ((aside from her...mental issues XD)), she counts as a regular pokemon.

she..shes only mental when it comes to the blessing (Who may or may not come in, but seeing how theres going to be a plague coming in making pokemon not natural anymore I can see they will to start to move again)
