Bagged and tagged Solix!

Okay, it's technically not a 'real' tame, but I feel like this little guy deserves recognition. :3



This is Toast. Right before I went to tame Deth'tilac, he was the spider I chose to come with me and be my taming buddy. I was actually hoping to bring Rekk'tilac, but he was absent as usual, so I befriended one of the lava tarantulas that wandered nearby.

Toast accompanied me through the dailies I had to complete right before unlocking the Molten Front. He was at my side as I ran towards Deth's plateau, and he selflessly sent out his web and sacrificed himself so that I could get my Sabbath.

I know exactly which mob Toast is, so I can go visit him any time I like. He has his own identity to me now. I definitely won't forget about him, even as random and sporadic as a tame he was (I don't even know where the name Toast came from).

I'm new to the forum but have been using petopia for a couple of years now. Anyway, some nice new 4.2 tames for me on 30Th June:

Skarr - tamed approx 11pm server time. Ez mode tame, used the arcane, silencing shot, deterrence then tame beast method as everyone else. Skarr is now my new #1 pet he looks super cool
 
Kirix - tamed approx 8.20pm sever time. This was a pain, I wasn't looking for him so was not prepared, I was on my way to skarr and Karkin. So I tried a couple of times and got owned. Then to my delight a horde hunter showed up, he had no idea how to tame either. So I HS back to pick up my core hound, get back to Kirix and the hunter the starts to kill me, so we have a few deaths either way. I get guild pally to come and lend a hand. I hop onto the floating platform, pop hero from the core hound, pally pops aura mastery, and Kirix is mine after about an hour all in all.
 
Anthriss - tamed about 00.30 on the 1st July. really easy tame, concussive shot him I disengage back into the molten pool and go underwater, deterrence and tame beast, and 8 sec later he's mine.

Magria - tamed 1st July 8pm server time
 
I thin Kirix and anthriss were server first and skarr was server second tame, but alliance first.
 
I saw another hunter (the one I had the battle with for Kirix) taming and he had skarr, he got there about 1min before me, Solix and Deth'tliac.
 
Now things get hard since everyone else is now in the molten front

I no longer have to be so jealous of you guys, cause I just bagged myself a Magria! I'd just finished the Thrall questline and thought I'd fly in for a check, I was really hoping for Ankha, but I couldn't BELIEVE it when Magria was just THERE, running around, no one after her! I instantly panicked though since I'd just seen another hunter who looked like he was looking as well, and I wasn't even in BM spec. Luckily I have a 'Nekkid' macro which saved me a lot of time. The tame was a breeze after that and she only chipped me down to half health. I was shaking like heck!

Kirix whom I'm rather proud of

I had tamed a makeshift Kirix from the broodlings (I have not seen the pack since o.O ), but spotted the spider himself skittering around late last night and gave him a go. ^-^ So, here are my two new friends. These two were the only ones I really wanted from the Front, so my hunt there is over, but I think I'm gonna keep being nosy and watch/help others tame their beasties there. :3

Here is my new kitty ! I guess I am the 1st on my server :

So finally one of the gem pets spawned, the crab. After sitting around camping for an entire day, that is what I get. I have not seen uglier thing, apart from sambas, but now I have a timer, so I am happy. Now I am wondering if I should sleep for 3 hours and hope that I can get up, or just sleep until I wake up by myself, or pull an allnighter.

... The heck is wrong with you?! About Sambas that is, he's gorgeous, I could care less about that crab. I want Skarr too, I'd be annoyed if I was camping Skarr and Karkin kept spawning.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with me, thank you. :p I just really don't like the way sambas looks, to me it seems like he will fall over head first, anytime. His mane is too big for me, really. And he has blue eyes, which I personally does not look good on a brown background.

Each to their own I guess. I always thought his eyes worked perfectly with the rest of his browny colours. And I agree his mane needs a cut but aside from that I think he looks a lot better than the other lions in the game do, as they're all a few hundred pixels short next to Sambas.

Just got my purple spider of doom! Been sitting since I got home, was too afraid to relog even to clear my cache after someone else's Deth triggered it. I did catch sight of Skarr after about 1/2 hour of being online. I promptly whispered a camper and helped him tame his shiny kitty.

Apparently karma decided to show favor on me for this deed, and Deth spawned for me when the other campers were out wandering. Some of them promptly showed up and tried messing with my tame, but a couple other helpful hunters pulled it through for me. THANK YOU GUYS! It's amazing how in the end, (most) hunters will look out for each other, understanding that a tamed rare is much better than one dead to a non-hunter (or hunter )'s hands.

Not my tame, but holy...*dies*

I just helped an orc hunter with 109k hp and no marks spec tame the Karkin. After a lot of trial and error and miscommunication (and eight minutes of res sickness, sigh), I ended up silencing the barrage and feigning IMMEDIATELY. After I stood back up, I accidentally hit the crab with an autoshot and got aggro; I was so panicked! I ran away while mashing readiness and feign. But I realized after that that I didn't get aggro from the Karkin, I got aggro from the tamed crab.

That was a terribly epic tame. Painful, but epic.



FEAR THE KARKIN WITH THE THREE STACK!

Well i have been slightly luck which is a suprise my server is so crazy there are tons of hunters looking for the new pets. Not to mention the tons of idiots wanting to kill them just to kill them. On thursday I got up early to see how many hunters were around and did /who and as usual 22 hunters are here but that was the day of the restart so 12 mins before restart bam NPCScan goes off and I freak it's the one I want the most Magria is walking right below me so i drop down and hit time realise i am taking way to much damage i had taken off my gear but forgot to put pet away crap I know someone was going to swoop in and steal it but rez pet, dismiss, heal and run like crazy and to my suprise she's still safe to I tame and then have the shakes so bad I can barely move.
Fast forward to this evening and I was checking for Kirix but nothing so i jump down to go see if Deth may be up and bam NpcScan and it's Anthriss so yet again I get the shakes but i shoot and run for lava and hit tame dumb rogue come in starts hitting her tame fail and boom dead, went through this 5 times if it wasn't the rogue it was a bunch of warriors who all died very quickly so I got a major laugh. After yelling in chat to back off and stop that she doesn't drop anything a druid came in and shot me a rez and they started telling everyone to back off which they finally did and I tried again for the 6 time and finally she is mine. I could not thank the druid enough which shortly after they whispered me and wanted to know about her abilities and how to tame. I wish the all the luck in the world if they have a hunter alt cause about half the people in molten front on my server will either kill it or steal it. Thanks to the small group that is helping each other out much love to them all. Now to get my Kirix

Thank the Loas my guildies told me to log on Wassa for heroics or I would have missed this beauty. He was flying around with other hunters shooting at him until I got on the tree and tamed him without any problems. Named him Lesedi which means "the light."

He loves me so much he makes a heart shape with his wings. <3

Grats, Wassa! I saw you camping a while ago and I was hoping you'd tame him.
Also, damn! That means I was running around the Molten Front randomly while I could have been taming Banthy! xD

Ya I saw you emote to me. Finally got him, hehe.

Man, Wassa, it startles me every time I see you or a screenshot of you because of how similar our trolls look, hehe. Congratulations! I'm glad you finally got your bird.
