there ya go with the word stolen again, and as far as being stripped of an achievement, honor points, gold, valor points for killing a mob, the is a reason people like yourself dont make the rules on the game in this game

Uh. If someone else has it tagged and it gets killed or tamed by someone who is not the tagger, that's definitely stealing. o_o I think at this point you're just trolling to get a rise out of people now.

Can we try and get this thread back on track and stop the bickering? Otherwise it's just going to end up getting locked and I think this thread could probably be a good area for some real discussion.

Agreed with Aeladrine. I think it's a far more interesting point to consider that WoW is just a reflection of the problems of the world at large than it is to complain that "I pay my $15 a month; I get to grief people if I want to."

In fact, I hate the Molten Front. It was a death trap designed to make Azu cry. Blizzard was all, "You know what? There's this druid. Named Azunara. Let's create this zone filled with crap that will make her sadface. We'll tie it into lore so she doesn't catch on."

Well, guess what, Blizzard? I caught on.

As for good news on the faction differences, just beckoned a dwarf over to tame a bronze madexx. :3

My favorite cross-faction moment was on Azu, I noted this BE and her friend camping Deth. I had seen the BE before camping Banny, Arc, and the like, and I've always done /luck. (I do that for all hunters in camping spots I come across.) Well, after seeing her a few days, I finally log on my Hordie and wish her luck in person. She's extremely grateful I have no intent on harming her tame and we go about our day.

A few days later, I find I have an letter from her talking about how she finally found Deth and was extremely glad that it went off without a hitch and was appreciative that I did not try to grief or mess with her in anyway. Turns out her camping buddy also has a few Alliance alts that I know of, so it turns out that I've made a few new friends. Heh.

I still love when me and my druid buddy helped that human get the two spiders in 15 minutes without any whisper communication ^^

Buut I do have countless other stories of ridicuously trying to wave down alliance and teach them how to do the fights through emotes XD It took about 20 minutes, give or take, but I did manage to get a nelf to tame Kirix that way.

From my own experience, it' not necesserelly about faction. Some like griefing hnters, some think it's ok to kill these rares. I saw Ban'thalos killed by a warrior wile my friend was trying to tame him, all of us were allience. I even offered 200g for him but the answer was "meh, i will kill him just because i can"

it is sad,but you can't make peoplenice if they don't want to be so. I think it's pointess to get frustrated about that, just be nice yourself^_^ this will make the world better, well, at least i hope so

I believe Blizzard has included a few words in its rules that go directly against the first part of your reply, Rockso. Those words are "sole and absolute discretion" and "going against the spirit of the game."

If you kill someone's rare mid-tame and get reported, Blizzard is entirely capable of deciding, in the sole and absolute discretion of the GM that handles that ticket, that you are disrupting the spirit of the game, and give you a nice vacation from said game to reinforce their point. We've seen several reports around these parts of several griefers getting reported and mysteriously disappearing for a few days...


The point being...it doesn't really matter whose views on here you want to bait or try to troll. It's Blizzard's sandbox and Blizzard's rules, and should they decide that, by your behavior, you're breaking them, you will experience consequences to that effect.

Tl;tr*

When i saw Banny for the first time it was a feeding frenzy of piranhas, through the work of like 15-20 hunters all shooting him for aggro we ended up killing him in like 2 minutes (he kept reseting which was weird so people kept shooting him and then quickly dying by the time they hit the ground)... it was really sad

Ive also had Kirix taken from myself and like 6-7 hunters by a guy who already owned Kirix. Same guy would also constantly pull out all his rares (he had 8/10 MF rares) and would spam summon Kirix/Skarr/Karkin (he was missing Anthriss and Skitterflame so he couldnt grief with those two since our scanner would probably be in range for them also from the floating rocks and their respective spawn points).

Really ticked me all to hell and then one day i found him raiding with my guild and in my guilds vent channel.... he sounded nice... i almost began to respect him as a good person and thought that he would stop griefing me (many times it was only he and i alone at the flatong rocks) but nooooope, he went right on to summon his pets continuously and turned my simple request into an all out laugh and rage war against me specifically in general chat. He had several people cussing me out for a simple request to please stop summoning his pets for the sake of griefing me.

Ive also had Kirix taken once by a hunter who nabbed him after i died like 15 times which made me die quite a bit inside, i walked away with a couple hundred gold repair bill and no green spider... but even though i went off the deep end at that (it was my 3rd kirix sighting, i helped my friend who was at kirix before i could get there tame him.. that was kirix no.2), i didnt emote a peep to the hunter (diff faction) and i found him few hours later trying to tame Karkin... i wouldnt of stopped him to begin with but for a bonus i already owned Karkin so i was happy.. i could tell he was nervous with me around tho even with his guildie standing beside him. Being an RP server we cant kill eachother :3 I was nice though, i /waved and brought out my Karkin and cheered him on and with his guildy silencing Karkins barrage, he had a shiny gem crab that happily swayed back and forth beside my equally happy crab. <3

Thanks to a hunter tipping me off and guiding me through the tame (Kalli had already done that same day i believe), i died to Kirix but at the same time i tamed him! Alas it ended up not working out but i was so happy for the fact i had tamed him ^-^ Then after stopping camping for a week or so i decide to do little check ups on Skarr and Deth. I have yet to see a wild Deth, Skitterflame (not after him tho), Anhka (already had Magria, didnt like, didnt like Gondria either so not taming Anhka), and at the time Skarr but after not seeing Deth up i decide to run directly to Skarrs spawn, log out, and play a diff char for a while..... guess whos up!?!?! SKARRRRRRRR lol, i thought it was Kirix again, then i thought it was a players pet but NOPEEEEE it was a wild Skarr!! Tamed without a hitch and i walked away with my very, very pretty kitty <3

Ive met one jerkwad, one guy who was pissed to all sorts of hells at me for taming Magria (general chat, he wasnt even anywhere near the spawn point cause i literally followed Magria for a minute or two just watching her run around lol), and met 3 really kind people, one of which got me Banny (he sacrificed himself to drag banny down to ground) and i in turn got him Kirix, one hunter who i was taking turns camping banny with (she had seen many bannys but never pulled off the tame in time, unfortunately she was sick one day and asked me to take her spot, banny showed up about 4-5 hours later), and the one hunter who helped me get Kirix for myself. I so far have helped home Kirix, Solix, and while its not a rehoming, i cheered on a hunter while he tamed Karkin even tho he left me with a huge ass repair bill by prancing up, nabbing kirix, and prancing back down (i had tried so many different methods, all of which kept failing... TT_TT)

*Lost a bunch of pets but met more good people then bad and got all but one pet i really want from the front and tried out a couple extras that i hadnt planned on but were up for taming <3

I've always heard it as tl;dr - Too long; didn't read.

Ahhhhakay ^-^ im learning new abbreviations slowly, slowly you have no idea how many of those tl;dr's ive seen since joining and never knowing what it actually meant

Intentionally disrupting another player's game play, with the intent to have a negative impact on their experiences, is against the rules. That's called griefing. Killing a pet mid tame is intentionally negatively impactng their game play.
