Karkin spawned on Nesingwary, where the toon I want him for USED to be. Decided to tame it on Teigan anyway even tho i didn't really want him for her. But by the time I got there he was gone anyway. I give up. I'm tired of falling to death, dying in the furnace and it always being Skarr.

Hun, I got a suggestion for you.

Park Teigan on the top bit of the furnace(after the hopping rocks) near the upper spawn point. I've always found it's easier to get down than it is to get up there while in a frenzy.

Well, I wanted him on Dayva, actually. But, yes, I was leaving her on his island. But, i had to leave occasionally and never got in or out with at least one death. Tired of it

Do the druid dailies. They catch you. :O

Yah for sure do the druid dailies hun, it opens the fire and they catch you itll make it alot easier

Don't give up! Camping/grinding for a pet can be REALLY frustrating, but eventually you'll get it. After 71 runs of Deadmines, I finally got my Albino parrot. After every 5 instances you have to wait an hour, so it really did take a LONG time to do all those runs. Also, I had Deth'tilac ganked from me six times before getting him, and I would camp him for hours at a time. I also camped Ankha for 30 hours once. Sometimes it takes a lot of time and a lot of patience, but it pays in the end.

Ok, after having calmed down some, I decided I'm not giving up altogether. I do want that adorable little crab. But...but. I am getting WAY too frustrated with this and am taking a break from camping Karkin and from that server. I will probably transfer Dayva to a non-pvp RP server soon (once I decide between Wyrmrest Accord and Earthen Ring) and after that I will do more in the Firelands so I can do the druid dailies. Then, once I have made things a little easier, I will start camping again.

And thank you all for being so great and supportive and wishing me luck <3 <3 <3 I will let you all know when I finally get him

Glad you're not giving up I got my own Karkin yesterday and it made me think of you! I really hope you can get him soon, you deserve him!

That cute little crab always dies on my server, as I've said before. He barely lives 10 minutes before some DK or pally murders him. I tamed mine when there was no one around, luckily. Runetotem is an evil, evil pve server. Don't transfer here if you want to TAME Karkin. If you want to SEE him, go right ahead, he spawns a lot, he just doesn't live long enough to be anyone's pet.

You could transfer to Moon Guard. :3 I've got lots of connections there.

Man, last two days I have seen... 4 Skarrs, 0 Karkins.... two of the Skarrs were on Karkin's rock! I don't think Earthen Ring has any luck with Karkin either! So you are not alone, only difference is I don't really want him. But at this point I really would like to see him spawn.

Karkin spawns on BOTH rocks. He doesnt just have one rock.

Rofl. Karkin is a myth for you, but a total commoner here.

I just my self tamed both Skarr and Karkin in one day:/ Karkin spawns the exact same place as skarr and no where else. good luck seriously! but dont dont dont dont ever give up! he is worth it:)!!!!

I'm with Teigan on this. I never see him, only Skarr.... Skarr is also the most common MF rare I see now (I yelled at him the other day. No hunter was around and I asked a few friends and no one wanted him. Finally 15 minutes later a belf tamed him) He is just always there!!! Always! I suppose they both spawn on both rocks...(not according to WoWhead) I just haven't seen Karkin on any rock to prove that he even exists. Still haven't seen him get cached either.

I haven't even seen a hunter with a tamed Karkin for ages. I think all the challenge rares on Argent Dawn must get killed pretty much as soon as they spawn. It was weeks since I'd seen any of the rares at all. Over the weekend I saw Skitterflame twice. The first time the taming got messed up and he died. The second the hunter tamed 'im. Other than that, I think the last rare I saw up was Skarr back when I tamed him.

I'm still keeping an eye out for Karkin.
