So... this would probably mean that I can (if I feel I have too much money ) transfer a character to another account, copy the mounts there (I am interested in that accounts old swift razzashi raptor ) and transfer back to have the mount on all my chars on my account?
How does this work with the sharing? Is it "all chars on this account gets all mounts aquired" or "my main shares all mounts with my alts" kinda thing?

This is amazing and pretty much seals the deal on me playing MoP. I have severe alt-itis and have always had serious trouble picking a main. As a result I have a lot of characters who have one or two cool mounts. Now all of my toons can have headless horseman's mount, brewfest ram, both RaF mounts, talbuks, ironbound and rusted Protos, red proto, sandstone drake (was a gift, I will never be able to afford that one again haha), rivendare's death charger, black drake and my absolute favorite twilight drake!! And others, but these are the ones I have agonized over! SO EXCITED

So far its your chars across all realms have the exact same mounts wit the exception of:
travelers tundra (stupid.. you spend all that gold for it to..)
factions mount (uh... ok there..)
profession mounts (this I get though)

I get faction mounts. I mean unless they'd change the Wintersaber to a Venomhide. :/

I wont lie, the MMOchamp image of mage on the Charger is amazing. Words cannot describe how much I would love to ride my Paladins Charger/Argent Charger on my Hunter. XD Though, I know that it's most likely a bug and won't make it to live.

But I so welcome the Account-wide mounts. It just makes me so happy!

That and I can finally do Brewfest and other rare mount-dropping runs on my alts without fear of the alts getting the rare mounts I need before my main XD

Honestly. I have the classes/profs that produce the mounts...I'd have no issues with them being shared. I don't see why it's an issue. x:

Okay I am completely fine with the profession and class mounts being not shared. But I am really confused about the rep deal.

I still don't understand because reading through I am getting mixed deals. If we are exalted with Netherwing and have all the Netherdrakes, will those be available to all our other toons, or no? Or do we have to raise our rep to exalted on every single toon in order to use rep mounts? If that is so, I rather them not even have the account bound mounts because I see no point. If I am going to faction grind (which I absolutely HATE doing) for mounts, I don't want to do it again...

Oh I agree. I think the same way. Technically speaking, if I already have the Paladin class leveled on that account, they technically I did 'earn/achieve/acquire' what was necessary to get the mount. So I should be able to use it like my other mounts.

I just don't know how Blizzard is going to go with it. I mean, I can see some people being upset that their class-restrictive mounts not being class-restrictive anymore (to a degree).

But it's still way too early to tell yet, since the feature seems really buggy.

But for now, my Hunter is going to enjoy riding a charger on beta. Mwahahaha!

It sounds like they do not want rep grind mounts to be part of this, you would have to reach Exalted on your alt before you gained the mount.

I guess that's understandable, but it still kind of sucks that the multiple grinds can't be cut down.

My instinct is that faction-neutral rep mounts will end up becoming BoA, although they may have level requirements. I think they are just hedging their bets right now.

One compromise might be to not have the current expansion's rep mounts be BoA, but rep mounts from previous expansions would be.

This could always change as it goes on. Perhaps a few months into the MoP they'll take the reputation restrictions off.

For Netherwing it would save you 800g - 1000g ish too.

But think of the mounts that would be BOA (via achievements / drops):

White Chocobo
The Huntsman's Mount
Those fancy Firelands ones
Bronze / Red / Blue / Blake / Azure drake etc
Time-Lost Proto / Green Proto / Red Proto / Ironbound Proto etc

Brewfest Mounts
Headless Horseman
Love Rocket
RAF Zebra and 2 seater Rocket
Mechano-hog? / Mekingeer's?
Spectral Griffon / Horde version (SoR)

WOWTCG MOUNTS!!!! Perhaps that one Hahadori mount you've been eyeing will be worth it if its for all your toons...


how would you see "no point" after just this basic list I whipped up within a couple minutes of what IS available regardless of reputation? Just remember what this means and look at the positives (which there are a TON!)

I dont mind having to buy the rep mounts.. I just dont ever wanna do Kurenai grind again pls and netherwing.. and skyguard *twitch*.

One of the main reasons I was excited for account wide mounts was precisely because it meant less grindiness. If I did the grind on one toon I didn't want to have to do it on another for the mounts. I thought account wide mounts would fix that. Apparently not? If it makes it to live this way it will be a huge dissapointment.

Mounts purchased from the Blizz store are already account wide. So that just leaves raid and dungeon mounts, I guess. Excluding rep mounts from this leaves a huge chunk of them that won't be account wide. So, like, what's the point, really. I get class specific mounts remaining that way. I'm fine with it. I'm even (sort of) fine with having to grind rep on each toon but not being able to share the mounts from rep would really suck. It kind of sucks the air out of my excitement for this. Before I was like "Account wide mounts!! Wooohooo!!" now it's more of a "Eh, whatever".

I did read your post. I know some mounts would still be able to be shared. But excluding rep mounts sucks out a lot of the fun...and leaves a lot of the grind...not to mention a ton of mounts that won't be shared. Of course, this is all IF it goes live this way. Which I hope it won't. JMO.

I will say this about disallowing the rep mounts: at least with those, you KNOW you're going to get to the end eventually. The rare/random drop mounts aren't guaranteed.

Indeed. I'm not too worryed about the rep ones as long as I can share my Vanilla ZG raptor I'll be happy :3
