Not to be a wet blanket, but I thought the goal was to do this pre-MoP. xD (Just curious, cause I like to plan ahead.)

Yes it is Wet Blankets are fun, I always like twisting and "ringing" out the water from them, i think thats what its called.

But yes, I would ultimately like to do this within a month. I just think its neat to plan ahead to what possible upgrades Panda will give to 80 twinks too etc

I'm excited to powerlevel Tailoring and getting a flying carpet mount (never had a carpet yet) ~ but then get the great cloack enchant / leg enchant

Although I am not currently in a fit state to tank anything; fevers do not make for the most alert players.

I know what you mean. I get mono usually at least once a year, if not 2-3 times a year, and my mom always says she can tell when I'm really ill, because I don't even consider video games, I'm just lying around watching Netflix.

For the most part, you do not need BIS 226 gear. There is a lot of 226 items that can be bought with Justice Points (run random cata dungeons to net 160 a time or so) and the gear in Regular ICC 5 mans / Heoric ToC 5 man is 219 as well (good enough).

Otherwise I'm more than happy to run those older instances to help others and myself gear up too. I wouldn't be against even trying to do Ulduar 10 every week (well get as far as we can in it, its a BIG raid)

Yep, level 80 is the minimum level required for MoP professions and the perks listed above do not have any player or item level restrictions like the BC, Wrath and Cata versions, so chances are its intended and will likely stay.

That said, it is still beta, don't drop or level anything just yet, wait till its closer to launch to be safe

I wonder about Panda leg enchants for tailoring / LW, wonder if they can be applied on level 80 gear

The profession perk ones (the ones only usable by the crafter) can be used on the 80 gear. The enchants they create for the others (the ones you can buy from the AH) can't be used by 80s.
So if you want to use them on a level 80, you'll need to have LWing or Tailoring.

Thanks for that info. Despite it being a "shucks" moment, it doesn't change my will or want of this achievement. Getting it on one character for me is getting it on all characters. Playing my level 80 is incredibly fun, much more fun than grinding the same old raid finder over and over again for hopes of another tier drop or the weapon from DW and then actually winning the roll against all the healers and tanks with offspecs for that dps item etc.

I'm going through the entire Vash questline (never bothered to before) and its actually pretty darn fun I'd tell yah. Plus after a run through BT / Hyjal, I got some fancy transmog pieces (tier 6 looks incredibly sweet on a Shaman, especially with the Frosty Flying Carpet mount ) I'll post a pic later.

My character is just about good "enough" for attempting this. Just will add a couple JP items (super easy to grind out through random cata- dungeons) and hopefully another Tier 8 piece from a Uld10 run that I'll try and get in this upcoming week.

I'm going to try and get a Uld10 run to help gear up hopefully tonight sometime around 10CST if anyone is interested.

Feel free to PM me your RealID or Battletag if you're interested (if we're already not friends). 85's are welcome as well to help carry us through

If we have enough dps / 85's I'll shoot for going for some of those Meta achievements too.

I may have a friend coming over tonight, but if I don't, Gim will be able to help out, he's my 85 hunter.

Sounds good The Uld 10 achievements are account wide (according to the mmo-champ thing) so I think that could entice others to try and get their Rusted Proto

Or heck, if we can get the people for it, Uld 25 nets mostly all 226 gear

Had a successful run last night. Ended up with 9 people with new Rusted Proto Drakes

Thanks to Gimlion who graced us with his presence on his 85 hunter with mad-dps, Kalli who came around and attempted to take aggro when she could from anything and everything she could find (including critters), and Worba, who basically decided to sit there and do nothing besides rigging all the loot so he could come away like a pirate. Jeepers, I think he got was it 7 pieces and a couple tier tokens?

Either way it was a fun time and I'm happy that we got all the achievements done for our drakes on the first run I think I got about 30 achievements total last night as well

It was certainly fun! I had a blast, and got 2 titles and a mount out of it (we did Maly quickly after so I could get Champ of Frozen Wastes).

Even after Herald of the Titans, i think putting achievement groups together like that could become a common thing for Petopia, especially since we no longer need to be on the same server to group up.

Heh yeah, we had 4/9 in that uld run from Petopia in fact, its already become somewhat of a Cross-realm US alliance petopia raiding group. Well maybe once we pick up a 5th, then we can be official
