It's like the regular maintenance, on mine it said servers were down to 11 on wed(just like the regular extended maintenance usually is), so I'll be aoe looting around a little after that.

It's likely to be down a tad longer than that, despite what they say. But if it's not and the patch all goes smoothly, that'll be awesome.

I'm personally not planning to let anyone go because I still have room in my stable on one hand. On the other, the only new families I'm interested in won't be available til MoP actually launches and since we don't have hydras *gross sobbing* there is really nothing for me to go out and tame. But I can't wait to play with new pet specs.

It's going to be so hard to pick which pets to let go >.< One of my hunters has a good amount of stable space left so I'm going to "test drive" some basilisks and waterstriders on him to see what I like. I love basilisks in theory but I know there's a chance that something about them would annoy me. So I want to make sure I enjoy them before I let go of any current pets for them.

*taps foot waiting on servers to come up*

Good call on basilisks; they have an annoying clipping thing going on with their neck plate.....although I still fell for one anyway, even after swearing up and down that I COULD NOT UNSEE it. Blinded by <3, apparently!

I released some pets over the time, but none in specific in exchange for the new beasts arriving coming this patch. They were released due to a lack of use compared to my main pets of the particular specie, or because I just didn't use them.

Those I did release were:


Erabros

Karmona

Sambas

Skarr

Arcturis

Ziliant
(which I may pick back up if they don't release the black dragonhawk)


I may experiment, and try taming a Basilisk:

This one was the only one that I liked, but hanging out with him in the wild made me think about it. I'm not sure if I like how he looks yet. I'll have to see the tamed sized version next to me, and if I like how he feels.

I will pick up a Fenstrider for Utility, until I can get into Mists and tame a cute little bug version. I can't believe I got attached to one, but his name is Jitterbug :3

Yeah it has been closer to 12 in the past. I know because I was continuously trying to log in hoping I'd see Ban'thalos be there after the maintenance but alas.(Got him another day though, at daytime surprisingly)

I said my tearful good byes over the last few days. I have four spots now empty for: New blue/purple tiger, blue goat (if I can find him), purple/blue quilian, and a blue water strider.

Also wondering, this patch all races are playable right? If so does that mean you can race change to a panda?

Pandaren aren't going to be released until MoP but even if you don't buy MoP you can race change to one.

And another 3 colour changers before they went.

So I'm actually worse off than before

I've let Sambas, Kirix and blue and red Madexxs go, and will be taming a fen strider. Maybe a basilisk to try but I don't think I'll keep one. In MOP I plan on getting a blue Portent and a brown or grey siberian tiger, maybe a goat
