I know.. I was telling him to actually drag it in there as well, but he kept saying it wasn't trade-able... I was going to snap eventually, so I gave up even bothering trying to explain it for the fifth/sixth time. I think that is what was annoying me the most - I'm not an idiot, I know how trades work after loot rolls are done... *sigh*
Suicune wrote:I read your post on the official forums, I'm sooooo sorry this happened to you- because even if you get it back, the wait time for the response is the most stressful and sickening thing to deal with. I send you my wishes for you to have amazing GMs like I have encountered throughout my WoW 'career', and they see something messed up and you are entitled to your hard earned mount. As with many issues I have seen reported, if one isn't helpful, ticket again until you get one that will. It is also a boon that he doesn't have the rep to learn it, as a GM would likely be hard pressed to help in that case, I think, as they have to get permission from higher ups to do anything regarding that stuff. Good luck! /hug
Yeah, not being able to learn the mount is definitely a saving grace, I can't tell you how relieved I was to see he couldn't learn it - and I feel horrible saying that too :? I would have raged something terrible if I seen him learn it, mostly because I know the GM's 100% couldn't do anything about if that happened.

Still waiting on the ticket... "1 day 18 hours" - and that was saying that 12 hours ago as well. Ugh... waiting is not fun. I hope I get another great GM, I've had some fantastic GM's help me in the past when I thought they wouldn't be able to help me - so fingers crossed I catch another lucky break.

Hoping the best for you :/ There's nothing else I could do. Though if I had a car, lots of time to travel, and his address, I'd go kick him something fierce for rolling at all for you.

OMG I HATE GENERIC RESPONSES!
The Game Master support department strives to meet every request for restoration or reimbursement, however, there are situations in which we are unable to assist. Be aware that we are unable to redistribute loot in situations where items have been looted incorrectly or against the group's wishes.

In general, the Game Master Department will not intervene in disputes about loot distribution.

The Master Looter loot option empowers the raid leader/loot master to distribute loot in the way they deem appropriate. While it is not required, if a Raid Leader chooses to, they may establish expectations about how they will distribute loot by providing a thorough and accurate explanation of all loot rules. As such, in situations where it is reported that a Raid Leader/Loot Master provided false or misleading statements regarding loot distribution, a thorough investigation of the situation will be performed and, in cases of policy violation, necessary action taken.

We encourage you to participate in groups using one of the other looting methods, such as "Need Before Greed," if you are unfamiliar with the Raid Leader/Master Looter. Additionally, exercise caution when choosing to participate in a group using Master Looter, and group only with a raid leader whose looting decisions you trust and are prepared to abide by, even in situations where you may disagree.

For additional information, please review our Ninja Looting article at http://us.blizzard.com/support/article. ... leId=17761

Thank you for your time.
That just makes me think... "I didn't read your ticket AT ALL, and just seen "loot issue" and copy/pasted the first generic response I seen in relation to loot issues"

COME ON!! I waited 2 days for this crap?

This wasn't looted against my wishes - MASTER LOOT FAILED...

Try again. Some GMs will give you a generic response because they can't be bothered. Other GMs are amazing. I really am hoping the best for you.

I do think giving feedback on that one should be done as well. Some of these lazy buggers are awful.

Keep trying, I really hope they can resolve it. Have you tried giving them a call aswell? Because of things like that, I'd never invite people to a mount run (unless they were among the handful of people I really trust), or to a kill like that. This is the first time I've heard of master loot failing, but. Paranoia isn't always unreasonable.

Yes, indeed. Waiting 20 minutes on the phone would certainly beat another 2 day ticket.

I might try calling them... they will probably tell me to put in a ticket, but I might try, could be worth a shot I guess. I know, I normally don't invite people either, and something was telling me 'no, don't', but I thought, ML can't fail, and the kid seemed excited for me, so why not.

Sigh... listen to first gut instinct in future.

Worse part is, he is talking to me a lot now and the story keeps twisting that little bit every time.... you know? Says something, I correct him, and it changes... ugh. Near last straw of me just typing /gquit was him saying, "well you know technically it's mine now, I won it fair and square, I could just keep it, but I tried to trade it back to you, I'm not like that at all" (don't even get me started on the 'untradable' crap, I know that's a fallacy)

WTF... ugh... SO close.. and I love this guild, just this one person is killing it for me.

Yanno hun...he's lucky I'm not on that server(Hell probably lucky none of us are far as I know)....cause we'd probably beat him for saying something like that.

Did you take a screencap of it being on master loot BEFORE killing him? And you did take part in the killing of him, yes? My friend lost the aeonaxx mount 6 times because of the despawning bug and they never gave it to him because he "didn't kill him".

Ugghhh! I hate those generic responses so much! I had a few of those that didn’t even remotely tie in to the ticket I made. I couldn’t even understand what they thought I was talking about by the time I finished reading them.
There honestly should be no question as to who gets this mount. Maybe if you fixate more on the master loot bug, they will feel more compelled to respond with a real person since it would make it different from the usual item restoration case? I think you can make tickets on the battle.net site too. My friend has gotten quick and satisfying responses by making her tickets outside of the game.
Hope you can get it back soon- it sounds like this guy is getting a self-entitled hunger for Alani. Hope he is a long way away from getting his serpent riding. :? You are Ally right? Because I would totally help you farm troublemakers and stuff between my rbgs if Blizz turns this into a royal screw-up. :(

I hope you have been talking to your guild master about this guy. Personally I would have kicked him from the guild for being a ninja.. I hope you get it but explain for some reason the shard is suppossed to tag it for you, it didnt. If it had you would have been able to roll on it but why there was any rolls at all for it being on master loot.. is stupid.

Well good news, I did finally get the mount after another two tickets after the first Generic Response. The next one said they had investigated the matter, and their records showed the looting system as "Need before Greed", and the only way they could give me the mount would be if the guy who had it in his bags actually put in a ticket and asked for it to be given to me. So I screenshot(ed) the GM convo & asked him to do that for me. Thankfully he did and I received them on Saturday morning in my mail box.

I did ticket back to show photo's of Master Looter being on - and a warning to all. The GM wrote back & said it had glitched out because they can see where I re-logged really quickly, and it had actually put it back to Need/Greed even though the icon was still showing Master Loot! So if you ever have to re-log as a Master Looter, please, please make sure you put the loot to Need/Greed, and then back to Master Loot to be 100% sure that it hasn't reverted the loot system back to Need/Greed.

Certainly a hard lesson learned. I'm very glad he put the ticket in and I got the mount back, made me feel terrible I was getting a little grumpy at him messaging me all the time, and with the previous comment about 'it being his if he really wanted to keep it'.

Thank goodness that drama is over... sort of took away the excitement of killing Alani and looting the mount though :(

I'll throw up photo's soon - she now sits me at 195.
