xD I came across a screenshot of my old Tauren Hunter recently, whose first pet was also the pink plainstrider. The caption reminded me of what I nearly called it. In my case, it was my husband who stopped me ... from naming it Oboe.



I've put a thumbnail as the expanded image could be construed as a bit rude.

Other pet names that made me laugh were a bear named "OMGITSABEAR" and a crab named "EssTeeDee."

i've got a blue silithid that i named Twitch, suits the pet well imo

My main has a devilsaur named "NomNom" and I named King Bangalash "Scratchy" way back when I got him.

Whenever I have to have a temp pet for some reason or another, I have to give it a name. I've had Temppet, trashpet, imtemporary, imatemppet, etc. Also, my favorite temp pet was what I had while Loque hunting, a snake named Jake. :3

My Murk Worm is called Mezcal, and before that my Tundra Crawler was Brontok (fyi The Brontok worm is a computer worm that affects computers running Microsoft Windows.)

Spirit Bear- Kermode
Corehound- Fluffy
Devilsaur- Tiny
Tundra Worm- Vermes

Fluffy corehounds and Tiny devilsaurs are so overdone. >_<

When I first tamed my devilsaur I was thinkin' how could I name it so that it reminds on T-Rex.. so I was thinkin' and thinkin' but nothing rung the bell.. and then after I logged out and was about to go out I put a hand in my pocket to see where my drivers license is and - instead of it I find a name for my pet

I got used to whispers like "cool pet name" while walking through capital cities or in randoms.. and ppl cuddling it, gently patting.. and I always say I bring him everywhere I go, just for protection

Mine too! I had Frankenswine for aaagggess. ^_^ It's just the perfect name for them. xD

Definitely not as good as Frankenswine but I had a boar for quite some time named Hamikaze (kamikaze...get it?! lol).

u could put im with stupid for pet or ur name can be, imwithstupid then ur pets can be stupid

I was in a ToC raid with a hunter who had a wolf named Steppen, which is a reference to the '70s band Steppenwolf. I sent him whisper telling him his pet had a great name. He responded, "He was born to wild."

I also saw an owl named Larry. I might be reading too much into it, but I assumed since it was a bird, the joke was suppose to be Larry Bird, like old basketball player.

On my first hunter back pre-BC, I had an armored boar named Incrediboar.

/cringe.

Annnyyyy way. My fiancee and I have been Mastering devilsaurs for a long while now with rather....stupid funny names. I'll list them below. >.<

Orange/Brown devilsaur - Monkeysaur (A living legend on our server)
The White/albino Devilsaur - Poodlesaur
The Black/blue Devilsaur - Poopasaur >.<
And King Krush - Yoshisaur (Common but still amusing)

However when he got me on the -saur naming craze for devilsaurs I wound up naming my King Mosh version...

Other pet names I've had that aren't too funny but sometimes clever are -

Loki - Loque
Aesire (my Horde Character's name in Alliance common) - Loque
Cheshire - Gondria (Tell me it doesn't fit )
Arrow - Skoll ....if you get that one I'll be so happy \o/

And given that I'm in the guild <Cake> most of our hunters have one pastry based pet name.

Two of mine have been Muffin and Crumpet (for arcturis currently)


And on one last note we have a member in our guild who's name is Birthday. Her name reads -

a friend called his crab pet "Kwell".
