Hehe, that's cute! :3

After some hardcore-2-d-grindcore with two other Hunter guild buddies, I finally got a tome to drop for me.

He isn't a Direhorn, but he is a new tame/body transfer and Mercer fits much better as a mean ol' T-Rex than a wolf.


Then there's my Direhorn "brothers" (because I have a problem with choosing just one color sobs)

Dante, the uppity bastard who'd rather gore you than listen to you


and Vergil, his much calmer but far more haughty sibling

Not exactly a "new" 5.2 tame, but...

Mana the cobra has been an on and off pet for me for a few years now.



And as of last night he has a shiny new look!

I went around on a test-drive spree in light of the new stable spaces and decided to try out a few pets that I might have interest in taming for 5.3. One of the first stops was the arcane wyrms in Northrend. While I loved them in theory, I was iffy on the transparent quality and wonky run animation so I never really gave one a chance. As soon as I tamed one, though, I knew it was him.

I'm really happy with his new look, it just suits him so well (and I love these wyrms with blood elves). I was also relieved to find the run animation had been slowed down from what it had originally been in the PTR, so that wasn't a big problem anymore.

The name also suits him much better now, too.

This is only my second post, but I thought I'd show off my dinos, and new turtle.

This is Maximilian. I thought for a good long while about the name. My first choice was Gandhi, but the game vetoed the name...because it was mature language. I swear, that's what it told me. So, I mulled some more, and eventually it came to me. Maximilian.



This is Rex. It may seem like an uninspired name, but, when I was a little kid we had a dog named Rex. It just felt right.



And finally, this is Leonardo. Again, it may seem uninspired or cliche', but when I tamed Bloodtooth, I named him Raphael, and this just seemed fitting. I like Leo a lot.



These are my 5.2 tames.

My alts that I planned to tame direhorns have all tamed theirs and gotten to know them a bit, so it's time to introduce them! ^^


Sarahma's direhorn is named Rance. His name means "Shield" and he is very loyal, gentle, and calm. He's very relaxing to have out by Sarahma's side.




Kilalan tamed two direhorns after test taming two colors and not being able to part with either.

The best way to descrbe Isha is sweet. Her name means "One Who Protects" and she'll certainly live up to it if she must. She's much rather spend her time playing or nuzzling Kilalan's face, though.


I have no idea what is wrong with Isha's image it shouldn't have a visible background or blocky wording so um.. yeah. O_o

Tarak, meaning "Protector" is a tough guy. He loves to show off his strength and will face whatever he's up against. He does have a soft spot, however, especially if carrots are thrown his way.




Hagan is another name meaning "Protector." It was tough naming this guy, who I have now discovered is quite lazy and a little stubborn when it comes to photo-shoots!

Gorgeous shots, Mia! I esp love the last one with Hagan. The brown Direhorns are gorgeous!

So with the announcement of 55 stable slots in the next patch I've been horribly tempted to grab a few new things myself. Namely, those Spirit Beasts I either released or simply never tamed. Var and his connection to the Spirits wouldn't be right if he didn't have them as pets in-game, right? Anyway I only had one free spot left at the time (though I might release the boar I tamed recently but never used cos our DK came back) when someone in guild started complaining that he was having trouble taming the spirit porcupines. So I decide, "what the heck" and went to try it myself.
And died. Several times.
In the end I figured out the correct range for Degu and nabbed him and named him Hania, meaning "spirit warrior". He is always alert and forever looking for signs of trouble.

Really, he put himself like that.

I'm totally late to the party, but OMFG Styracoankyloceratops!

Her name is Penelope. I thought I would like the tan one the most, but the red one has stolen my heart. I did tame one of every color so I could have a direhorn rainbow when I use Stampede though.



Now to do dailies so I can have a direhorn mount too!
