I might give it another go later on. But first impressions is a giant no.

MorrowWind was my first ES game and frankly I think has the best story of them all. I still feel sorry for the last living Dwarf in that game :/

I haven't played but I've had some college classmates that have. Their impression? It's crapola, to be nice about it. They had much more colorful words to say about it. ScrewAttack's review on it wasn't good at all either.

just curious those that did play, how far in the game did you get, as the beginning shows not much but after lvl 10 it seems to become more interesting and 15 and higher even better, i didn't get that far yet, but i sure got more of a exploring feeling once you reached the bigger town after the one/three intro places.

I got to level 8. I won't get any further since I deleted the beta and won't do any more even if I get invited.

I played enough to get a feeling off it for me.

ok have fun with what you do like, i learned that the fist 7-10 levels are a bit boring and it gets realy interesting after lvl 15, i myself didn't get further then 13, so i would not know for sure, but it sure got more interesting after you got to the big towns.

That's pretty bad game design then. The first places should hook you into the game!

Well six months of waiting for a key and I didn't get much out of it. I didn't know it at the time but my video card was about two weeks away from going all fast food on me and becoming a deep fried nugget of sadness. as a result my screen just kept slowly getting darker and darker u till I just got lost and gave up. (and you know how dark the spawn area is. it took me forever to find my way out.) I was rather miffed that I couldn't see enough to enjoy the game but what I did manage to get through despite my own problems was all in all kind of "meh."
I have never played any games in the Elder Scrolls series so as someone who didn't know what to expect when I logged in, I thought the overall interface was kind of confusing. the combat felt slow and frustrating and the quests themselves drove me mad. it didn't seem very "newbie/mmo" friendly. I would have loved some explanation as to how to navigate my controls, find my map, ect. and I wish the quest givers at least told me to go north, south, east, west to find my objective since I was not familiar with the world.
nothing really stuck for me. im rather bummed out about it since I had such high hopes for the game, even when their facebook page didn't have many good reviews. but if the petopians say its meh, its probably not something I would enjoy. there wasn't a hook for me.

I never saw this as a character selection in the betas I played. Which was all but the most recent

I heard that there is some way to get an animal companion to help you fight, but I never actually had the chance to figure that out for myself. It was mentioned on an official video I saw somewhere... But that's all the information I really have on it D:

The Sorcerers get minions and one looks a lot like a raptor. I saw them all over the place.

In one of the Elder Scrolls games I played, or maybe all of them (I can't remember now), I believe the bosmer (wood elves) have a racial abillity that they can "tame" an animal for a short period of time and have it fight for them. It's not like a permanent pet though. This thing you saw could be something totally different, of course, but that's the first thing that came to mind.

I'm going to do this one as well. It seems on this one you can invite a friend, so I sent an invite to my boo :3 It should be fun.

I will probably pop in to give it another go since computer problems cut my time short last time. (I believe my characters name was Lakiir? he's an Argonian)

I got an invite from a friend and I can play tomorrow. I honestly don't know much about the game, and I'm not buying it or anything, but beta testing is always fun regardless so I'm looking forward to messing around with it tomorrow.
