I could afford to do that but I hate to waste it :/ . I still don't have the current RAF mount because I've been patiently waiting till I can find someone interested in trying the game. I've even offered to pay for their next month but no luck so far. If the mount was about to be retired and I was out of options I might, though.

There's always the possiblity they'll change their minds, of course, but the new achievement string:

Friends In Places Even Higher Than That (New) Obtain an Emerald Hippogryph mount through the Recruit-a-Friend program. Account Wide.

is unambiguous that it's intended to be the RaF reward.

Guess I'll have to buy another $5 vanilla key this black friday... or three. ><
