OH.
DEAR.
MALORNE.
*HYPERVENTILATING*
I have wanted to be able to tame a stag ever since I started playing the game on my first character, a night elf hunter. THAT WAS 8 YEARS AGO.
If this seriously happens, I might be forced to re-roll as my first character. Seriously, this is fantastic news.

How curious! Depending on how spunky they feel about pet family consolidation, it could
really change up the families we have now.
Considering the vast broadening of pet buffs, it isn't a stretch to imagine since many pet families would take well to merging.
Also mfw blue on petopia

I haven't been so happy for awhile. Thanks for this, and stags. I like to feel my question helped us get these beasts.

I do NOT want to get hopes up, as this is not a confirmation. Just an observation made by myself. But this was on MMO Champ. It's actually something Muffinus put out about the Night Elf male models. You can see the little post about it
here.
But.... you guys might notice something strange about the stag next to this Night Elf. It's slightly smaller than he is. It's also smaller than the "wild" stags. It's also next to a freaking hunter. Is this possibly a hidden message to the hunter community? Could they possibly be testing the stags?! [flails around excitedly]

It is a picture to show off stag tameability. The elf male just happens to be the focus on MMO-C because it uses a new model.

WoD is a good expansion for hunters who love pets.
For me, it compensates for how lackluster I thought MoP was, and how "safe" it played with the new pets.

Actually if you read further, that NE model isn't even close to what they have.

I never said it was the finished model, or anything. I just said that the new model happened to be in it. As for unfinished, it was unspecific. By their own admission, all new player models are still unfinished, even the dwarves and the orcs. It could be that this was a scrapped concept, or that they are what they are working with, but they are gonna add more to it. We simply don't know. Luckily, I didn't imply that it was finished. Just that it was a new night elf male model. :p
And I said "uses a new model", not uses "the new model", which is true. The model is one we haven't seen before, so it
does "use a new model".

That is true. I have to keep reminding people that the models aren't finished and won't be until closer to the WoD release.
