Oh so its a draft, that makes sense no way they could throw that out there as a finished mount. All the clothies would complain about splinters in their butts.

Me too, with all the glorious new variants for Druid kittens and Druid bears, just one new model for the BM Hati would be been nice. Who knows, maybe it's still in the works, fingers crossed!

Updated the list with:

Three kodos. The new model is being used as a replacement in old zones. We have no idea if it'll become tameable but I'll include it here for now. It's a really nice update to the old one.


Five mechanical wolves. These would have to end up in the Mechanical family. I think this is the first new mechanical beast family we've seen. I wonder what other beasts they'll make robots of.

Four new spectral saber worgs. Despite having a "new model", these look a little dated as they use the old skin format that harks back to the start of WoW, and I suspect the model is just a minor adjustment on the old one. Nice to have some new and different colours, though!

Perhaps more "mechanized" pets are on the way?

So it turns out that the current crystal scorpid model may never be tameable. It's not composed of a single model, but instead it's strung together from a series of models for different parts. So while the body is one model, and covers 90% of it, there are separate models that cover the tail and mandibles and some other "gems". This has been done before with various bosses. For example the big lava worm boss had separate models for its head and its body.

This doesn't mean we won't get tameable crystal scorpids. They could easily put together a "stand-alone" version of the model. But the current one is less likely to be tameable as it doesn't seem likely it would save properly Maybe I'm wrong and it would work, though.

This was mined from the new alpha build. Might be that update for the BM Weapon we've been bitching for.. or might be a tameable wolf

I've added the lightning and frost wolves to the OP, as well as the two new unicorn colours. We have no idea if the latter could ever become a tameable family but they look awesome.

The images for the frost and lightning wolves aren't perfect. WMV doesn't render them accurately. Hopefully we'll have some better shots up soon.

Ugly broken back hipster bear is still ugly, broken backed and hipster, in the latest update.

I'm liking the frost one very much, not as keen on the lightning one but if it's a replacement for the Skoll-Hati I'll be very happy indeed!!
