Please look if not.
<--worried
I looked around her old stomping ground for a while last night but did not see her. No sign of the skin anywhere else yet either. I'll definitely keep an eye out for it though.

Ok. Thank you for keeping an eye out still.

Yeah I'll try to swing by her old haunts when i can too. What's disturbing is that in release, you can almost always find her spawned in her little section and there are other forest striders in the surrounding area. but in beta, it's all moonstalkers there. A few elk.
I might try a different tactic and look for a new flock of striders since the current one was pushed out by predators. But so far there is a total of One tallstrider in the entire Darkshore area and it's a brown model named Fleetfoot.
Side note about the elk: Cannot be Tamed, however, they do have a "Diet:" list too. So, interesting if that switch gets flipped down the road.

*pales* That's actually a bad sign right there; it sounds like Fleetfoot is a living memorial to the missing tallstriders. And yet, not a rare spawn, odd. Probably part of a quest, I'm guessing?
Could the clutchmother have fled to Ashenvale someplace? It REALLY sounds like she's completely gone...D:

Yeah this is really forcing my hand to release someone to get her back. I don't trust that we'll get the new slots before beta's fully released or full Cata.
And it's definitely sounding as though she's completely gone since there isn't a single strider around but one.
Curse you Blizz!!

I'm in the same boat with this one. I think there's only one pet that I currently have that would be an easy re-tame later though. I'm just not sure yet how many I'm going to need to abandon to preserve some of these endangered pets.

Agreed.
I don't like being forced into releasing a pet. I don't know which one would go.

What about the "hyenaskinblue" aka. the purple hyena? From the beta videos, Thousand Needles is completely flooded and Snort the Heckler's territory is taken over by a new Alliance base. Did purples move elsewhere or are they extinct?
I'm running out there to catch one in case they don't survive!

They moved to southern Tanaris. So the blue hyenas are safe.

Scoured Southern Barrens last night and found no trace of the blue scorpids. There are still a few silithid mounds just north of the new Horde base, but no scorpids. Just thunder lizards and wind serpents. I'll be keeping an eye out during my travels to see if they show up anywhere else.

I was told that skin had been moved but that doesn't mean Snort was apart of that. May be same skin yes ..................... but not the same. At least not to me. I am not suspecting Snort will be moved to Tanaris.

I didn't say Snort, I said the skin.
I don't expect that Snort will survive if he's not still in the Barrens somewhere.

Supposedly, a large amount of the Barrens fauna has migrated into Desolace, that could include rares.

Ooh.
And there were already hyenas in Desolace. Good call, Saturo.

Speaking of Hyena's, anyone seen the red one that the Scarlets tended to use?

With Azshara being so completely revamped I am wondering if Scalebeard is being removed...although his skin can still be found in many other places...poor turtle, I think his cave got trashed and a goblin city dropped on it!
