I don't think it is, but it might be to those who have pets like that tamed. Perhaps you don't say what sort of pet it is at all, but just show the skin? That might work.

And I agree with Kalliope. Everything she suggested sounds great! I'm sure a number of hunters (I would, at least) would be willing to put up with the site being down for a day or two if we got such an awesome feature on the end. Besides, we're all used to weekly maintanence anyway, and Petopia doesn't undergo maintanence often anyway.

Anyway, I love the idea.

Some hunters are VERY particular about which pet they have tamed, so if that sort of feature is doable, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. (Scratchfever the Savannah Highmane comes to mind.) Still, they could always put that in the profile part, if it's that important (and a pain in the butt to code).

And downtime is but a minor inconvenience with such wonderful additions in the wings!

Oh also, it would be nice if we could track multiple hunters linked to a single account, if that would be possible. (I'm sure that thought's already occurred to you as an altaholic, Mania, but it bore mentioning anyway! )

Ah, I didn't mean that we'd need downtime to get this in place -- but that I expect traffic on launch day to crash us.

The idea sounds lovely, and if at all doable I think Kallo's suggestion would be great. Doesn't have to be a pop-up on mouse-over, a simple couple of lines under each picture would work. Name, original beast, taming story, and personality would be the categories I'd expect most hunters to want to fill in, but I wouldn't say you'd have to let us have pages of room to elaborate.

Aye, this. xD Regardless of the reason, the site would be down and it would be worth it, be it for the additions or the release of Cataclysm. I always expect all of the reputable WoW fan sites to be down after the release of an expansion.

I really liked that you made this... so here's my list; I sure hope we get a stable slot or two before Cataclysm even one, so I can stable Skoll & get Sciuto again.

This obviously may change as more furries, slimies, scalies, featheries, & others are discovered ^_^

All of these are just old pets retamed, hence most of them having a name already. The ones that don't have one yet either had a terribly long name or are just hard to find a name for. Maybe the spider will be Lukitari (Shelob in Finnish)... I'm not sure I like the name or not.

I finally got around to adding the pets I want... And I still have a good mount of slots still open! <3

Some of mine have changed. It looks like I've only got one slot left, but in reality, I have a lot of doubles/triples because I can't yet decide which skin I like. Hopefully we see some new families in Cataclysm (*cough*thunder lizard*cough*)!

That's what I have so far. I'm still flip-flopping on what skins I like best of a few. I know that color of crab I have shown is currently untameable, but I'm hoping that will change in cata, as I like it the best. I'm also hoping bliz finally releases the red warpstalker in cata QQ

Are you sure - not trying to bring you down - that those riding skins are going to be tameable? Cause if so I may be getting myself a few. XD

The top 5 are my currently tamed pets. There names are - from left to right here - Pete, Chimera (no name yet), Barbas, Embriss, and Pinchy.



The 2 empty spots are for something new in the expansion. I'll probably replace Pinchy with a green scorpid from the barrens before cataclysm and then tame one of those awesome new spiky crabs when cataclysm is finally out. Below are some names for old pets that I abandoned at one time or another that I plan to use again.

Orange worm - Slinky
White lion - Whitemist
Raven - Poe

My 25 for Delphinie the top 5 are current pets. The rest will be re-tames or new wants.
