Well I cannot find Krush on the PTR either, been looking though. But on a side note, with the core hound bloodlust and with the speed pots that came with the 80 copy of my live char (Rhonin's gift) I was able to tame the beast in UBRS in just over 2 seconds. Not sure if they are going to fix this. I hope not! XD

It's the box of stuff you get for hitting 80. For some reason every level 80 you copy over on the PTR gets it again, probably has to do with not having achievements copy over.

Yea, its around two seconds, judging when the tame happens and still 8 seconds left on the clock. I honestly wish that I copied over all the other haste goodies I had to see just how low I could get it. Elixir/food and my haste gems that I had on an alt for when the patch hit for faster tames. You know, I think I am going to try to tame the green core hound in SMV to see... Don't he fear also? Been a long time since I played with him. XD

Update: Guess it was a bug with the speed, its now hovering around 4 seconds to cast tame beast, still good, but not as good. *sigh* it was working yesterday.

Yep! And with an approximately 4s cast time, odds are pretty good that he won't fear you before you get him. I tamed him four times in a row last night (he respawns quickly) and he only feared me once out of those four times....I think because I started the tame closer to him, so there was less travel time. Laughably easy.

Not THAT quickly. There were a few minutes between tames. He's a quest mob, so the quick respawns are intentional.

Now we just need to get the Grimtotem Guide to be tameable again, wouldnt need fancy Meta Gem/Shaman/Drums of Leatherworking at all

On the brightside, for those players primarily on PVP realms, a 4 second tame is going to close a lot of doors from other people Ganking you / Killing the mob (while you're taming)

This x100, even on pve servers I have lost many rares cause of impatient hunters and just jerks all around.

Ah. Well that explains it then. Shutting up ............................. now.

Just found and successfully tamed Krush with my beta troll premade. It was... startlingly easy. Even without a corehound and added haste gear. I even forgot to hit berserking. :\

Just sent my pet up against him, waited for him to fear the pet, abandoned it and hit the tame button. 10 seconds, and he was tamed. I can imagine this and similar tames being stupidly easy with this strategy and a core hound (hitting ancient hysteria before abandoning).

Glad I could provide some closure and some good news for krush/rare hunters post 4.0.

With the tame beast buff they did that doesn't reduce armor anymore, Krush has become easier to tame. Sure the fear may be a trifle annoying, but at a higher level (I was 85, almost 80k health), Krush was gray to me and often missed.

He did fear me once but it wasn't a problem. The tame beast buff counters nicely to the mob damage buff.

He apologised for nearly eating me after I tamed, so we're cool now.
