..I'm going to keep calling them leopards. Although the spots don't match up, they look -nothing- like a cheetah's long, slim, graceful, long-legged runner-build. Likewise they call the white leopards 'snow leopards' and anyone who's a nerd about snowleopards will tell you the ingame model looks absolutely nothing like the real cat.

So spot pattern=cheetahlike, but they're not Actual Cheetahs (just like there's no dragons or unicorns or basilisks or..); splitting hairs over what they're called is awfully silly. If you like imagining your spotty yellow kitty is a cheetah, that's great. But if someone imagines their yellow spotty cat is a leopard, or even a jaguar, then that's great too, yeah?

Though for just ingame purposes, they're also never called leopards, the yellow ones. But they /are/ called jaguars.. there's a whole different can of spot patterned worms.

Well, I'm SORRY for having an opinion! While they may not have the 'right' model for cheetahs, do the tigers do? No. They all share the same model. Because it'd be a waste of time for Blizz to make SPECIFIC models for each type of cat. They are STILL cheetahs, though.

And actually, the skin is called a leopard. Doesn't mean it's a cheetah, though. It's just a huge fail on Blizzard's part for making them cheetahs but calling them leopards and jaguars. And while there are mobs with the skin called jaguars.. Again, fail on Blizzard's part. The skin is STILL a cheetah, though.

Alright, I think the entire argument on what real world cat the model is based on is a bit fruitless. Let's stop focusing on nitpicky details and get back to the pet discussion?

Are there any named cat mobs out there that haven't been located yet, beyond Araga? Maybe one of them wound up with the golden skin.

She's the last one. Broken Tooth hasn't changed.

No clue where else they could be hiding, unless they're in a group.

Bugger. I even went up to the blackwind sabercats, remembering there USED to be a white tiger there named ..Hawkbane, I think, but he's still not in the game anymore and the rest are still normal kitties.

I actually really like the solid white one. The white and blue one is a little bit out there for me... something about the colors just don't mesh with me, though that may be just how it looks in that screen and not what it would look like if it made it in game.

My favorite though, if they ever made one, would be the black with white spots type.

Well I got a guildy of mien to tame Araga on live, and then copy that character to beta, I'm sorry to say, but it seems like Araga's model didn't change

However, seeing as she still hasn't been spotted in beta, I'm thinking that blizz still didn't apply her into the beta, and when they do, she'll also hopefully have her new model
