haha now there is a horde equivalent pet glitch to the alliance quest chain for the oil-stained worg. but much easier to achieve.

Anyways I on the other hand found it quite difficult doing it alone. Tried everything I could with freeze trap. Throw torch, freeze trap, tame, that's too much going on within 7 seconds.

Eventually the easiest and fastest way for me was to stand close to trough or right on top of it and start the tame. Then had a friend throw the torch two seconds into the taming. Took me only two tries with a friend. The first boar ran out of range and the second just ran around close to me and it appeared to be a fail but when I tried taming another boar it wouldn't let me. It kept saying that I had an active pet summoned already but looked at it and only had three pets in there.

Before I knew about the log off technique, I just ran to the closest stable master to check it out, and the boar icon appeared in my active pets. Boom, bacon!!! I love him to death haha.

I know, I've noticed that too... he simply won't level, very odd. i'd like to know what's up too

XP on heroics has been nerfed considerably recently. That's probably why.

but 3 heroic and not even a lvl is too nonsense

ok nm i found out the reason. they really nerf the heroic exp for pets. 4 runs of heroic and not even one lvl. i went out to kill some normal mob while doing daily and it leveled:)

And I have one! Aptly named I think

I am thinking of naming mine "Porkchops" just because "PorkchopSandwiches" is just too long.

This is Tai's new boar, Afelia. Tai loves boars. Tai hates fire. It's an adventure, let me tell you. Probably going to have to change that fear up if I want to keep this girl.

Great pic hehe--I just had mine in the tavern in Org and somebody whispered and said, "You do know alcohol is flammable right?" I emoted looking for a fire extinguisher.

Haaa, that's awesome. I haven't gotten any witty comments, just a lot of targets, laughs and 'how is your boar on fire?'

Whenever i tame mine it goes back to a regular boar and no longer a flaming one, any ideas on why?

Someone just tamed another one today, so it's not nerfed....sometimes it just requires a lot of tries. ><

Don't think I'll be able to get one before they take this away... I can't connect with anyone I know to do the torch for me.

What's your hunter's name on your server? If I have time tomorrow, I wouldn't mind making a tauren for you to do the quest and help you get it. I can't promise I'll have time, though. My husband and I have several things we have to do.

Oh! I got it last night! I figured it out, i was forgetting about the /script PetAbandon(). After i figured out i needed that i got it in two tries. Cant forget about that script. GL everyone!

I appreciate the offers. I'll have to see who's here when I have some time, and see if there's a vent server I can grab for a bit.

For people wanting to tame one of these Armored barbecues this is how:

First, get a friend to make a tuaren and quest till you get the quest to set trofs on fire. Second, make a macro with /script PetAbandon(). Third, stand on the trof and start taming, while taming spam that macro! Forth, halfway through the tame your friend will set it on fire. If it works the boar will disappear, relog and you will have it.
