Haven't seen Deathmaw at all myself after Cataclysm either. I know Kalli's been camping him since yesterday, and his spawn timer was only 5-8 hours. Might have to wait until this patch goes through to tame him, I'm really beginning to doubt he's still around.

I put in a ticket. I've been camping him for about 15 hours now....still nada.

UPDATE:

I just talked with a GM after they restored Olm for me on my other toon (it is still the white model, not the ghostly green...). I asked if they happened to know if Deathmaw was still on the live servers right now - noted the location/type of npc etc, and after a couple moments they responded that as far as they could tell, Deathmaw still exists on the live servers.

Good news.

And to help boost morale:

When they asked if they could do anything else for me I replied, "Not unless you want to give the Horde Tol Barad. " hehehehe.

Glad yours responded.

I'm not sure if I should be insulted cause mine didnt say anything or even mail me. Just had me fill out a survey. ._.;

Sad. I think mine specifically sent me a message because my ticket was on one realm and I was logged into another.

Long story short, started as Ally way back when, now play Horde on another realm - so I do the switch back and forth thing occasionally. They said they wanted to verify that the pet was indeed in my possession so I think that's why I got the message.

I was going to fill out a good survey too but I didn't have one on either realm to respond to. *Shrug*

The nice thing was, I got a response within about an hour which shocked me- normally it's at least 6 if not days hahaha!

Keep me posted. I'd be interested to find out if our GMs differ in their opinions regarding this evasive wolf.

I will, thanks! I've been contemplating making some hunter alts on another realm for both factions, just to tame various pets hehehehe. The thought of getting pets between various alts as opposed to all on one toon had never really crossed my mind until recently. Perhaps I'll start a couple over on Moon Guard!

We do have lots of good people but unfortunately we got just as many jackasses to boot. Lol. But yeah, hey, I'd bring you into the guild I'm in if you wanted too. ^^ there's another person from Petopia in the guild too.

Got a response. He still is ingame according to the GM.

Be careful taking GMs word for it, though. If the model is in the database, they may well think it's still in the game. And I would like to point out that two GMs asked previous said that Olm is still in the game when he very definitely wasn't.

I'm not saying that they're wrong, but it's definitely a bit of a crap shoot! GMs can't tell if a model's walking around. As far as I know, they can only check if the model's name shows up, or if there's evidence of it on Wowhead or whatever.

Regardless of anyone's tickets or GMs' words, Deathmaw really doesn't seem to be around on live. I've found him pretty easily on the PTR with no trouble (multiple times), but not even caught a corpse on live. Something is up with these rares disappearing/reappearing. I really don't think it's intended behavior.

Yeah I've pulled Mits back for the time being. I've got his ID in so whenever the hell patch comes, I'll get her back voer there to snipe him and all is good.

You may be right. Both GMs said he was spawning as intended but I've yet to find him.

I don't recall Blizzard increasing his spawn time and i was camping for 16+ hours for him and still a no show.

Yeah, in the past I've found him sittin with the imps.

Anyone else have farming bots--specifically paladins--grinding the area? Seen 4 or so various lvl 45-55 paladins farming the area for hours on end, which might be wiping the wolfy when I'm not there

Names like Drtd and Ehfj, no guilds, etc : /
